The owner eventually returned my phone to me with my original broken screen ( it was more broken than before) and they said that if I am not happy with their service the only thing they can do is to take my written complain and send it to owner personal email. (Which did not guarantee me anything) so I received my phone with broken screen but it is not working anymore - screen is just black. I am not able to use it and they did not installed it correctly. So to summarize the situation- I came to this shop with fully working phone but with small crack on the screen and received it fully smashed with not working touch screen (just black screen).

Rewind to Saturday and I'm afraid to say my perfect record was smashed to pieces. Literally. My iPhone screen resembled a spiderweb made by a very drunk spider. I asked my friends if they had any recommendations and Techbytes was highly thought of. I phoned them at the start of the week and they ordered in a screen. They also gave me a quote of £55 for the repair which is incredible considering the standard rate seems to be around £90. I managed to get down today at lunch time and they promised me it'd be back in my hands for half 3 at the latest. How great is that? No faffing, no missing limb feeling. Simply, pop back later and it'll be ready. I went back down at half 3 to get it. This is where they could have lost a star. The location is right on Duke Street and given the time of day and torrential rain it was horrendous to get back to. There is plenty of parking available at this time, just an awful lot of traffic not moving too. I parked and went in to be reunited with my newly patched up phone. The man who served me seemed friendly and noted he'd thrown on a free screen protector too. I don't know if this is a nice customer service thing or a wee joke about being more careful next time, but I'd like to think it's the latter. I had a wee chuckle at my shiny new protected screen. Service paid for and off I went to wait in more stand still traffic. I honestly couldn't remove a star simply because of the location though. The friendliness and efficiency of the staff, the super cheap cost and bonus screen protector all merit 5 stars. If I ever have any other IT issues I'll definitely be entrusting Techbytes to solve them.

I purchased 15/01/2024 £55 from a guy behind the counter what I…read morewas advised as official PS4 controller in white. came with instruction charging cable in original box. when connected to my PS4 it said this controller may not be compatible and may not work properly as an error that popped up on screen. I taken the controller apart to only fine a lipo battery 3/4 smaller than the original battery which I compared to the authentic PS4 controller I was replacing because of stick drift. the battery wasn't grey as inside original no markings on the battery to show MAH or even what manufacture it was. also the battery in fake controller was stuck down with a double sided sticky pad as did not fit the internal battery tray. Also the sticker on the back of the controller was not straight stuck on like authentic and underneath the battery tray the board had different markings compared to the original. compared this to ifixit comparison online as well to prove it was fake. I went back to the store on the 16/01/2024 and they guy wasn't there it was a female member of staff. I taken my fake controller back along with my authentic PS4 controller and opened up my authentic controller and also the fake one to point these issues out and asked for a refund. The poor lady was obviously dealt with negativity from customers before and went on a rant about there great reviews and said yelp was useless. I explained this is not her fault and she advised that she would call her boss and went through the back of the store. She came back out to where I was at the counter and confronted me with her boss on the phone who started to shout and say to leave the store. I advised that he has sold counterfeit goods and would call the police if didn't have my full refund of £55. he proceeded to be aggressive and nasty saying for me to call the police he doesn't care and to F*** Off. I dismissed him and said have a nice day the lady hung up. I explained to the lady she has been perfectly pleasant and that she should seek alternative employment as her customer service was spot on and her skills could be used elsewhere that isn't selling counterfeit goods. I explained that the way these things normally go with a reputable shop or business is to apologise advise to check with there supplier and offer a full refund. not telling customers to F*** Off and to call the police he doesn't care. the lady agreed and I received my refund via card for £55 and got the receipt. I shall await to see if comes back to my bank account if not then the police shall be called and also a charge back process begun at my bank. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS FOR ANYTHING TO PURCHASE GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR NEEDS.
