Gregor really helped and communicated very well. I am happy with both the computers and both my wife and I thank him for his help.

When my seemingly bullet-proof external hard drive came to its demise one rainy summer's day, I…read morefrantically searched for someone who could revive it. Although the guys at Mercury were unsuccessful at retrieving my data, that is a reflection on the poor manufacturing at Seagate (b**tards!) rather than the guys here. The slick and friendly gentleman who attempted to do a number on my drive treated the situation like he was a doctor, but did not charge me for the hassle of examining the case. He gave me a concise diagnosis without deluding my expectations and was extremely apologetic when nothing could be done. That being said, he shed some light on the matter - my hard drive had slipped disks inside the magnetism, which is in computing terms a terminal illness. An operation on my item would have to be carried out in sterile conditions (I'm not kidding!) in a lab that you ususally have to send your item away to as these places are normally secluded in the country. But I appreciate the effort Mercury's team made and the fact they spent some time mulling over the situation without charging me for it. For repairs that can be carried out in their workshop they seem to be skilled, with prices at the expected rate for repairs such as these. I sincerely hope I won't have to mourn losing years worth of data again, but if such problems should arise I would return to this laptop surgery.

Having felt the pain of losing a laptop suddenly, I tried my best to console my friend when he…read moreshared his woes over the fact that his laptop was on its last legs and then, one sad gloomy day, how it would not turn on. I sympathised over a strong cup of tea - I had lost my laptop in the same way. A few days later he walked me back to my flat hugging the dead laptop insisting that he was taking it to Mercury Computers to get it fixed. In denial, I thought. I told him he had to move on and cut his losses - that getting it repaired would cost too much. But miraculously Mercury Computers brought it back to life and it is still going strong! Amazing. I don't think it was exactly cheap (definitely quite a bit under £100 though) and a small price to pay in comparison to a new laptop. I wonder now if I let my last wee beloved laptop down by not getting it the help it needed. Sniffle sniffle. Upstairs from Catani's this great wee place does everything you could dream of doing to your computer and sells all the bits and pieces for those with their own technical minds.

Came two hours later, he said that the non-original screen will not work, the original will cost 65 pounds and need to come tomorrow. Good. Came at evening of the next day and he tells me that he cannot fix and I need to go to the Apple store. At the same time he inserted the broken screen back, but completely destroyed so that nothing could be seen from the screen. I'm going to the Apple store, where they tell me that the previous person who opened the phone broke the fingerprint recognition button. I go back to G-mobile and say that I was told. Sherhan was gone, he was upstairs and I had to wait for him for half an hour before he came down. I explained the situation to him and he started to react aggressively. Took my phone, even the model which he identified is not correct (it was an iPhone 7, but he said it was an iPhone 8), pulled out recognition device and began to poke it in my face, simultaneously shouting that nothing is broken. But he worked before him. He also said that because they are not official seller even if he completely broke the phone, he will not be responsible for anything. Any other information to me refused to provide. Also, he did not provide me with a receipt for purchases, I still bought a mouse before. There was no evidence that he was the one who broke my phone. So I could not dispute his actions. The broken button cost me 148 pounds. What we have in the end: 1. Terrible service. 2. Not the professionalism of the employee. 3. Poor quality of work. 4. No guarantee. Such people create a negative image of all migrants.

I'd brought my own parts, and he still charged a very fair price. Nearly a year later, he still had my phone ready and waiting! Reliable, skilled, and honest. For phone or gadget repairs in Glasgow, Daniel's your guy. Give this man a medal. The full story: absolutely outstanding service. Exceptional mobile phone repair service in Glasgow. I brought Daniel a Blackview BV9600Pro -- a rare, rugged, and very obscure phone. I'd already bought the spare parts online, but the repair was far too complex for me to handle myself. Daniel took it on without hesitation. Here's what truly impressed me: I originally arranged the repair back in November 2024... then life got in the way, and I completely lost track. Almost a year later (October 2025), I reached out -- and Daniel calmly told me everything was already done and my phone was waiting for me. Talk about reliability and professionalism. He did a fantastic job, charged a very fair price, and handled a niche repair most shops wouldn't even touch -- even though I brought my own parts. If you need someone who genuinely knows his craft, communicates clearly, and delivers top-quality work, Daniel is your guy. He deserves a medal, a cookie, and your business. God bless this man, his family and his shop

if I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased 15/01/2024 £55 from a guy behind the counter what I…read morewas advised as official PS4 controller in white. came with instruction charging cable in original box. when connected to my PS4 it said this controller may not be compatible and may not work properly as an error that popped up on screen. I taken the controller apart to only fine a lipo battery 3/4 smaller than the original battery which I compared to the authentic PS4 controller I was replacing because of stick drift. the battery wasn't grey as inside original no markings on the battery to show MAH or even what manufacture it was. also the battery in fake controller was stuck down with a double sided sticky pad as did not fit the internal battery tray. Also the sticker on the back of the controller was not straight stuck on like authentic and underneath the battery tray the board had different markings compared to the original. compared this to ifixit comparison online as well to prove it was fake. I went back to the store on the 16/01/2024 and they guy wasn't there it was a female member of staff. I taken my fake controller back along with my authentic PS4 controller and opened up my authentic controller and also the fake one to point these issues out and asked for a refund. The poor lady was obviously dealt with negativity from customers before and went on a rant about there great reviews and said yelp was useless. I explained this is not her fault and she advised that she would call her boss and went through the back of the store. She came back out to where I was at the counter and confronted me with her boss on the phone who started to shout and say to leave the store. I advised that he has sold counterfeit goods and would call the police if didn't have my full refund of £55. he proceeded to be aggressive and nasty saying for me to call the police he doesn't care and to F*** Off. I dismissed him and said have a nice day the lady hung up. I explained to the lady she has been perfectly pleasant and that she should seek alternative employment as her customer service was spot on and her skills could be used elsewhere that isn't selling counterfeit goods. I explained that the way these things normally go with a reputable shop or business is to apologise advise to check with there supplier and offer a full refund. not telling customers to F*** Off and to call the police he doesn't care. the lady agreed and I received my refund via card for £55 and got the receipt. I shall await to see if comes back to my bank account if not then the police shall be called and also a charge back process begun at my bank. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS FOR ANYTHING TO PURCHASE GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR NEEDS.
