Plenty of Parking First off, they have their own parking lot…read moreand it's a solid size for a small store. I never stress about finding a spot, which already puts them ahead. Easy in, easy out. Small But Packed It's definitely a small thrift shop, but they use their space. There are toys right out front on the porch area, which immediately caught our attention. It's mostly clothes inside, but you'll find board games, little knickknacks, and random gems mixed in. The Toddler Hoop Score We grabbed a small toddler basketball hoop for my nephew that was sitting out front. The paint looked a little sun-faded, but it was still cute and reasonably priced. Pricing...Hit or Miss Some things felt worth it. My sister found a couple board games at decent prices. But I almost bought a matching game for my son and realized it was close to the same price as Walmart. For only a dollar or two difference, I'd rather buy new and not worry about missing pieces. The Pac-Man Moment The real MVP? The Pac-Man machine in the corner. No quarters needed, just play. My son loved it. Honestly, I want to go back just for that and browse again. I'm not sure if it's for sale or just there for customers, but it was such a fun little surprise. Neighborhood Vibes It's a small neighborhood business in South LA, and I respect that. They focus on resale, reuse, and community, which I love supporting. It feels like a local spot trying to do something meaningful. Customer Service There was one woman working when we went. My sister interacted with her more than I did, but she said she was kind and helpful. Final Take It's small. Some deals are good, some are just okay. But it's local, it's community based, and my son had a blast with Pac-Man.

It's a small spot, but they actually have parking which is amazing. It's right down the block from a couple of different coffee, shops, so you can stop there after your morning coffee! The owner is super sweet and helpful, and they always have deals going on, even though everything is an amazing price already.

I'm excited to check out the store sometime. I loved the selection of eclectic and thoughtful items and will be ordering again!

I had a baby in April 2020, and for the first year of his life, I bought all of his clothes online…read more He's an incredibly gorgeous child (objective statement of fact), and I take real pleasure in buying him tiny clothes. It turns out that that pleasure is amplified when I shop in person at a store like Eggy. I'd been aware of this store for a while and always figured it was Korean-owned, as "eggy" sounds like the Korean word for "baby." This suspicion was confirmed when I met the owner a few years ago (I'm friends with her cousin, it turns out). I went for the first time last month, to exchange a gift from his Aunty Carol and Uncle Kevin: a soft, adorable sleeper that I wanted to get in a bigger size (they got him a really nice wooden dancing alligator toy too, also from Eggy). The sales lady was very helpful. She found the order and looked for the sleeper, but unfortunately, it didn't come in the size I needed. I returned the sleeper for store credit, which I immediately spent--and then some--and then some more--on a whole fall wardrobe for my son. The store was just so attractive, and so full of stylish, high quality clothes, I went full Pretty Woman on the baby boy racks. I pulled item after item (including a complete three-piece outfit as modeled by one of the little mannequins) and the sales lady brought me everything they had in my kid's size. At one point, I made her look at pictures of him and she--a woman who sells expensive children's clothes to L.A. parents!--said, "You're obsessed." I ended up buying a bunch of clothes, which I realized as I was leaving are likely to go on sale by the time my son is big/cold enough to wear them in a couple of months. My mother would be ashamed of me, but I couldn't resist, and I'll be back to Eggy to get more nice clothes for my beautiful boy.

Surprised this place doesn't have more reviews! AND there's free parking which is unheard of in LA…read more It's a little hard to find since the shop itself is small but it's on the corner of 3rd and Catalina, in the same plaza as Dental Playground and Fashion Dana. After being let down by Target and Kids Land, I came here for a last minute baby shower gift (thanks to Yelp). I left with a gift basket, card + Fire Station toy set the owner wrapped beautifully for me. This is definitely a mom & pop store so you don't have to worry about marked up pricing or gifting the same generic gift someone else already bought. They have great quality, adorable clothing, toys, bottles, booties, and a lot more. They also carry different items, not only baby/kids stuff such as perfume, watches, purses, notebooks, picture frames, Funko Pops, men's boxers and beaters, etc. It's actually quite neat. I probably spent an hour just looking around and admiring everything. The owner was very helpful and kind. She was well informed as far as what gifts would be best for newborns and new moms. I found out she used to be a nurse and studied child development so that made me feel even better about my gift. Apparently the store has been around for many years and it remains helpful in the community. I love supporting local shops, especially when there's great customer service and the owner genuinely cares about or has a passion for what they do. Very glad I found this place and will definitely be back! Highly recommend checking it out.
