Not that the part was ordered or anything. Just that he had no update. Okay I understand being busy thats fine. Called on Monday September 21st and left a voicemail asking for any update that they could give me at all. No follow up. Okay whatever. Call again on Tuesday the 22nd. No answer again. At this point, I a Full time college student now had been without the main source of homework completion and note taking for SEVEN CLASS DAYS, with zilch heard about my laptop. I decided to go into the store. I explained the situation and the employee went back and confirmed what part I needed and came back out to ask if I wanted to proceed. THEY HADN'T EVEN ORDERED THE PART. 7 business days and my part had not even been ordered to get the repair started, after I was quoted 3 originally. I was shocked and did respond in that manner to the employee, basically wtf??? He asked if i wanted to proceed or wait to have him put it back together and take it. At this point I already put the 60$ deposit down when I dropped it off which would take another 3-5 business days to come back to me. I told him I had to continue due to this. Today(8/25) I called to check in again because at this point I no longer trust this place and Im fed up. MY PART STILL ISN'T THERE. At my wits end I asked to speak to a manager and explained my situation hoping for literally anything. A true explanation on why the employee had lied originally about the time quote, not oh we just got busy because if the 2ndemployee could do it out the second I came into the store thats just not an excuse, a discount, an offer to refund me in cash so I could take it somewhere else literally fucking anything. Instead, I got the "busy" excuse as stated previously as well as "there is a queue". Which yes. I understand I need to wait my turn. No qualms with that at all. But there were likely phones that got turned in and finished before my part was even ordered or I even got a response to my voicemail from Monday(8/21). (referring to other reviews((why i chose this place in the first place....)) as well as what I overheard from another customer. I have no issues with needing to wait for a part to be ordered, or waiting behind people who turned their electronics in first, but the fact that the employee could do it the second I came into upset I truly believe thats not the case here. Another note, doesn't my part have to be there to truly be in the queue? Because if the part isn't there they can't even do anything with it so I am automatically at the end of the queue. Why are parts not confirmed the day of drop off? This place is inefficient and has very bottom of the barrel customer service. UPDATE (10/1): Still absolutely no update at all! it has officially been there almost 3 whole weeks now!(Morning) UPDATE 2 (10/1) Afternoon: Just received the update that it's finished but I still never got an exact price. UPDATE 3 (10/1) Afternoon pickup: Laptop was received in worse condition then I dropped it off in. Its now UNSAFE TO EVEN CARRY. It wont shut fully. I took it back in after I inspected it and was indeed like"wtf this is ridiculous??" he said well what do you want me to do? I regret bringing any business here.
