Since my regular doctor only suggested basic treatment, I was looking for alternative ways to recover - outside of Ibuprofen and icing. My session with Missy was a very well rounded experience. It started off with verbal consultation: lifestyle, food and sleeping habits, stress level etc - all the things that contribute to one's wellbeing. After that we moved onto physical portion of practice, some mobility exercises along with breath work. Very subtle movements (that I'm not quite used to, coming from athletic background), but made a huge difference. I could tell Missy knew was she was talking about. She properly identified some muscles that needed release and others - to be activated. Being injured my body naturally was cautious of movement a first, but soon enough was able to let go of unnecessary tension. Finishing up with a beautiful guided meditation. By the end of this session I felt more grounded, relaxed and ready to accept the healing process (which can take a while, as humans we tend to rush through recovery) I would definitely recommend Missy to anyone looking to balance the mind, body and spirit.
