I'm from Mississippi and we are very particular about our catfish! The plate comes with 2 sides. My hubby chose collards and fried okra! I'll be the first to tell you, I didn't chose Ray's for my meal because most food trucks do a poor job with southern food! Let me tell you Ray, got all 3 dishes right! The catfish was not swai, nor was it fatty and greasy! It was cooked HARD and golden brown!! The greens and okra were both delicious!! What? I couldn't believe it! I quickly abandoned my food and helped myself to my hubby's plate! The next time we're in Fayetteville I will definitely stop by Rays, he will not disappoint! !

PATHETIC service and mediocre food…read more When I walked in there were 4 people sitting at the bar. I still had to wait roughly 5 minutes for the bartender to take my drink order and give me a menu. No big deal. It was a little long but nothing egregious. After I'd almost finished my beer, and the bartender still hadn't come back to take a food order, I had to flag her down to order food. Still, no big deal. Not great service, but on par with my previous Sassy's experiences, so nothing to get mad about. I spent the rest of my time at the bar being mostly ignored. I finished my meal, asked for my check, and set my card out waiting to pay. I waited for at least 10 minutes before I finally took my card to the bar tender while she was standing at the cash register. I said, "Can I PLEASE pay my tab." She took great offense to that. She ran my card, threw it down in front of me, and told me I shouldn't "talk to women like that." When I laughed, and I said "what are talking about? I asked to pay my tab." She told me to "get the fuck out." I've been stopping by sassy's for roughly a year. The food is always bland and overpriced, but it's the closest BBQ place to me, so I've made due. With the exception of one single visit in that past year, the service has never been good, but this was the first time it was genuinely, laughably pathetic. Apparently, asking to pay your tab after you've been repeatedly ignored is disrespecting women at the Sassy's bar.

First time in Arkansas, last meal before going back to our hometown…read more Food was all good! Onion Rings and Ghost Pepper sauce definitely stood out, best thing we had there. Adding sautéed peppers and onions on top on the Loaded Fries was great-much better than traditional and basic Loaded Fries. We each got Plate Dinner #2 and it was a huge amount of food. For meats, we got sliced beef, sliced polish sausage, bologna, and ham. For sides, we got the fried okra, green beans, potato salad, and mac & cheese. Everything else was okay, nothing crazy. Good and solid food!

Even better was the food! Got the 4 meat platter with brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and sausage, really struggled to decide which one I preferred. Second review This is my second review following a conversation with the manager, Ashley, regarding the numerous issues with our order. Our food was terrified, after a Long day we arrive at Sassys a couple hours before closing. This was our first time trying out Sassys and it will be our last! My daughter specifically ordered a chicken wrap without tomatoes, yet it arrived with tomatoes on it. In addition, the meat was excessively fatty, the food was served cold, and the potato bake was both cold and missing the cheese that should have been included. After I contacted the restaurant, Ashley acknowledged the issues and initially offered a $20 gift card. She stated that she would discuss the situation with the owner, Alan, due to the number of problems with our order and indicated that they would make things right. I was told I would receive a callback regarding when to pick up the gift card, and that Ashley felt our experience was unacceptable and she would talk with Alen ( the owner) for a full refund. Unfortunately, weeks passed without any follow-up communication. When I contacted the restaurant again, I was informed that only $20 would be refunded. The lack of follow-through and communication was just as disappointing as the food itself. While mistakes can happen, customers should be able to expect accurate orders, quality food ( especially Southern BBQ) come on now! and timely resolution when issues arise. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Sassy's Barbecue due to the poor food quality, lack of communication, and unsatisfactory customer service. 1 Star. Do Better Sassys! There are plenty of other great option for GOOD QUALITY BBQ here in NWA.

In a different note, the owner(s) of this business must be great bc all of the employees here always seem genuinely happy, from the first guy at the line all the way through the guy wiping down the tables after guests leave! The restaurant also looks like everything a great bbq spot should, clean and bright with huge smokers outside with lots of picnic tables in front of maybe the biggest screen I've ever seen! The baked beans-delicious and even better the next day, but everyone other side was a no go. The mashed potatoes while seasoned perfectly are a bit on the pasty consistency even with the skins being included. The coleslaw and deviled egg potato salad were HEAVY on the mustard, overwhelming so. The deviled egg potato salad was also over seasoned with dill and honestly tasted nothing like a deviled egg and watery. The Mac and cheese was thin/watery and lacking flavor-lacking that thick cheesiness a good bbq Mac side should have. Servers/staff all in hustle mode! Clean restaurant indoor and outdoor seating

Legit Texas BBQ in Eureka Springs!…read more On a recent trip to Eureka, the kids and I were very unimpressed with service and how unfriendly people were. Sauced was one of two exceptions. The person behind teh counter said she was from Texas so maybe that had something to do with it. Sauced is worth a stop. We ordered a bunch of brisket, hand cut fries, and mac n cheese. The fries were excellent. It is hard to beat a perfectly cooked hand cut fry and these were amazing. The mac n cheese was also dang good. It was cheesy as could be and a great addition. The brisket? Well for starters, I wasn't expecting much. I didn't think Arkansas was known for brisket but I figured what the hell. This was some very good brisket. I would venture a guess that it is the best brisket in Eureka and unless there are some real Texas BBQ joints there, one of the best in all of Arkansas. Have I had better? Yes, in Houston or Dallas, but those are the BBQ meccas. This was solid Texas brisket and blew me away for Arkansas BBQ. If you find yourself in Eureka and love BBQ, get yourself to Sauced soon. My mouth is watering thinking about it.

What a great find!!! We were rushing through the grocery…read morestore nearby, smelled at sweet BBQ in the air, saw SAUCED, and just had to make a visit! We bought a simple sampling to-go of burnt ends and brisket. They included three sauces. Burnt ends - unsauced, purely the burnt end straight off the brisket (as opposed to saucing them up and reheating to caramelize the sauce), great bark, and not cut all the way through but we worked through the struggle gladly ;) Brisket - good flavor, but just slightly dry (maybe bc we brought it home). (My husband prefers a larger smoke ring, the red shading below the surface of the meat.) Just the right amount of fat. Original sauce - sweet and delicious! Bold - pretty spicy! And good flavor. Honey Mustard - bold flavors. Bold in the honey and in the mustard! Simple order. Satisfied customers. Yum!!!
