I took some time to process my experience and after reading similar reviews feel the need to post…read moremy own. Recently at my annual appointment I was waiting to use the restroom which faces the support staff cubicles. The wait was rather long as there is only one restroom. I had the "privilege" of overhearing how they feel about their clients. "Oh, I hate the perimenopause ones- IM FAT AND HAVE SYMPTOMS BUT I DONT WANT TO GO ON MEDICATION AND GAIN MORE WEIGHT". "THE NEWBIE GYNES ARE SO CUTE WITH THEIR STIs." I was stunned. I went to the restroom, came out, and Dr. Plawyer's nurse was waiting for me. I told her of the incident and she said "I'm sorry to hear that" and then went over my med list and medical history while I'm on the verge of tears. I finally stood up and said "I'm leaving." I did receive a voicemail apologizing and saying it was addressed. However, as a nurse for the past 10 years I understand on a deeper level that the comfort they felt talking about patients at work indicates a culture of not respecting their patients. When we go to the doc we want to feel heard, be taken seriously, and be met with empathy and assistance. I no longer believe this happens at this clinic. Find a clinic that doesn't mock their patients.

If you call the corporate office number, if you can even find it, they can't help you because they are a different office. Midwest Center means nothing other than a common name, like going to a Shell gas station, one has nothing to do with another. Took me multiple requests, over a period of more than 3 years to get my medical records transferred to my new doctor, which were finally transferred as of this year, 2025. Good Lord. What a frickin joke. Please, please, don't waste your time there. See previous review by me if you want the full story.

The feeling was all too familiar as I had sprained my ankle over a decade ago on NYE. For the first few days I figured I would be fine and tough it out on my own. I eventually came to Endeavor Health/NorthShore hospital in Skokie and visited their Ortho Immediate Care unit. I wanted to make sure it was just a sprain and nothing more. I arrived as a walk-in on a weeknight sans appointment and met with Dr. McCracken soon after checking in. He ordered an x-ray and within minutes after the x-ray, he was able to read and go over the results with me. Thankfully he found no visible breaks in bone, wrote up a doctors note for work and placed me on an ankle brace for a couple of weeks until my ankle fully healed. It's been a month since my injury and I'm happy to report that I am near to full function! I'm able to walk with no issue and have made progress. I've started to go back to the gym with the hopes that in a few weeks I'll be run ready. I'm so glad the Endeavor Health/NorthShore Immediate Care Ortho facility saw me during a weeknight. There's not many Ortho Immediate Care facilities I'm aware of and with this location less than 20 minutes away, this was super convenient.

If I could give Dr. Warner 100 stars, I would in a heartbeat. After having a completely terrible…read moreexperience with another OB very early in my pregnancy, I went online and googled "best OB in Evanston" Dr. Warner was at the top of the list. After reading a bunch of other reviews, I switched my insurance over to her and never looked back. She is knowledgeable, patient, responsive, honest, and every other positive thing you'd look for in an OB. I was almost 3 months pregnant at our first visit and reeling from my previous terrible experience with Dr. Herriges and his practice (that's a whole other story - feel free to read that review if you want to know what not to look for in an OB). She answered all of my questions, helped my icky feelings fade away, and put my mind at ease in a matter of 15 minutes. She helped me get my very limited medical records sent over, reviewed my results from those tests and let us know that everything was going well thus far in a matter of days. Throughout my pregnancy, she never cancelled an appointment, was extremely communicative, and kept me confident that we could totally do this. Her office has a nurse available to answer questions M-F and they call you back promptly with answers to your questions, no matter how silly the questions may seem. On to my delivery, which was unplanned to a degree. Our babe was breech, and we tried spinning babies exercises, moxa, acupuncture, and nothing worked. We made the decision to try ECV, for which Dr. Warner referred us to a MFM specialist. On the day of the procedure at 37 weeks and 2 days, things did not go as planned that Dr. let us know we would delivering that day and that Dr. Warner knew and she'd be over as soon as she finished with one other patient. Holy. Crap. Well, Dr. Warner arrived, made sure we understood what was happening, walked me into the OR, soothed my frazzled psyche with some deep breaths and her ultra calm demeanor, and we were on our way. Dr. Warner truly is the best OB in Evanston, at least she is the best one for me. I absolutely adore her and her team!

This review is for the GI Lab at Evanston Northwestern back in May 2017. I was scheduled for a…read moreroutine colonoscopy and was freaked the hell out about being ass invaded as that was uncharted territory. I had heard horror stories from others who had the procedure, and while necessary, it sounded painful and very much like you knew someone had been up there. I arrived at the lab and the nurse who checked me in was very nice. Not sure if she could see the fear in my eyes, but she was very lovely in getting my vitals and making small talk to calm me down. Once I got into the room to change, that is when the magic happened. I am going to say that for a procedure like this and me being terrified, Dr. Michael Goldberg and his team did an excellent job on executing this procedure. He and his team were very polite and courtesy, explaining the process without talking down to me. Once I woke up in recovery, there was follow up to see how I was doing. I am happy to say that I don't remember anything once the drugs were administered other than counting back from 100 and waking up in recovery. There was no indication that I had been ass invaded...no feeling whatsoever. Going to say that the most painful part of the whole experience was drinking the crap to prepare the colon for the process...it is supposed to be lemon line, but it had an after taste like weak powdered milk that made me want to puke. About a week or so after the procedure, Dr. Michael Goldberg and his team sent me a best wishes card that they all signed. That was totally unexpected and a very nice touch. If you have Blue Cross/Blue Shield and need a colonoscopy, get thee to Evanston Northwestern and Dr. Michael Goldberg and his team. First rate treatment all the way.

I received a text the day before from the office. I called to remind them that when I booked the appointment I had made it known that I didn't want to be texted so they texted me again. I showed up for my appointment and wanted to make sure that it would not happen again and the woman behind the desk was rude to me and only cared about getting my insurance card and driver's license. I did not want to proceed without first straightening out the texting issue and other privacy concerns. I had brought a list of 5 concerns about privacy to go over with the doctor first and this pissed her off even more. Then she wanted my insurance card and driver's license. I had a really bad feeling at this point and let her know I was not comfortable with the way things were going and I was leaving and not coming back and left. As I was driving home Dr. Edelstein called me to tell me off and to tell me to find another doctor. He was not smart enough to understand that when I said I was leaving and not coming back that I had already permanently ended things with his office. A little advice for the Doctor and his office - treat the person who is paying you with respect and put up with things like a no texting rule or plan to go out of business.
