I had struggled for about a year and a half with an injured Achilles tendon accompanied by hip pain and other issues that resulted from the Achilles issue as well as inactivity from WFH for 18 mos. I had gone to so many practitioners trying to find relief. I received shockwave therapy, a cortisone shot, two MRIs, and an EMG to detect nerve damage - I spent so much time and money all to no avail, and then I met Denise. I was attracted to her practice because she promotes a holistic and a "Whole Body Approach" in her treatment methodology. From the first visit, I knew this would be a different experience than what I had been experiencing. Denise listened to my concerns and let me know what she thought was going on. She even brought out a poster of the entire musculoskeletal system and showed me which muscles were being affected and what needed to be done to correct and activate them. After just a few weeks, I noticed marked improvements and my movement was much improved. After two months, I was virtually pain-free and most importantly Denise gave me the tools to help myself. The exercises and education she provides really address the individual needs of her patients. With her knowledge and expertise, she helped calm my central nervous system and break the cycle of pain I was experiencing. Since completing my round of treatment, I've continued to get better and stronger and I've even begun working out with weights again and keeping active. I'm so excited to have my life back and really appreciate and value Denise for taking the time and using her expertise to help get me there. I intend to make her a part of my ongoing healthcare routine!

I saw improvement with each session and I am very close to being done. She gave me some good exercises to keep working. I had chronic pain for decades that would come back every time I work in the garden, over exercise or overuse my hands doing home projects. My hands go numb, and I would suffer for weeks waking up in the middle of the night from pain sometimes getting no more than few hours of sleep. All other doctors checked the carpal tunnel, neck, back and found nothing. The worst part none offered a solution to reduce the pain or shorten the flairs. Time seemed to be the only cure for me. Well, I had a major project that killed me again, and I was in a middle of it still when the pain came back. Pain is merciless. No matter how bad it was I did not have a chance but to finish my project. My friends and family all recommended the same place - Dr. Ivanchenko. All skeptical but with no other options I went! On the first visit they promised to fix me, they all sounded so confident that I walked out after the first visit convinced I found a right place. No, they did not cure me after the first visit. And even not after second, but in a week I noticed improvement and in two and a half I can say I feel much better and almost fixed! My pain incidents once started typically would last for months!!!! and their therapy sessions could help me after just two and a half weeks? I must have been masochistic not check them sooner! From now on the time is not the only cure for me. Anything that hurts now - I am bringing to them!

I must admit that some nurses and CNs are very good. And some do not even meet the minimum competency standards! The Physical Therapy program and its staff are good, though. But please don't believe what they claim about pulmonary care in their literature including website. Lexington of Wheeling (LoW) is probably NOT a place for pulmonary rehabilitation. Please don't leave your loved ones at LoW who are in need of pulmonary care. In my opinion, LoW is neither properly equipped not their staff is sufficiently trained for this type of care. They don't have respiratory therapist on site. They don't own any equipment such as BiPAP, oxygen concentrator, etc. They rent these equipment from a third party. Most of the equipment are old and one can never be sure if those equipment even work properly. The reason I say so is because when the patients reach a hospital with elevated level of Co2 and a BiPAP machine is used there, patients get better. The question is why BiPAP machines at LoW don't have the same positive effect? There is an urgent need to check their equipment's validity and efficiency. Pulmonary patients badly need ABG tests to check the level of Co2 content in their blood. LoW does not have ABG (arterial blood gas) testing arrangement and the management does not care less. When the Co2 level shoots up to a dangerous level, all LoW does is send the patients off to a nearby hospital. Imagine the discomfort aging patients have to endure and the money it costs to the patients' healthcare insurance. And worst, the management of LoW did not have the courtesy of acknowledging and discussing complaints!

Grant it I'm not the easiest pAatient to please, but not unreasonable. I had zero luck getting a cup of ice water and a side cup of ice for a nutrient shake. I might have asked about cold fusion. I wound up getting a Dixie cup of ice cubes. The place it what it is. They do their job and you heal up hopefully. It's not Embassy Suits, but it's not motel 6 either. I don't recommend or not recommend Lexington. I think they know there's room for improvement, and actually working to fix it.

The therapy providers--Vanya, and Cole--are incredibly motivating. Their positive energy creates a relaxed environment, which makes the entire treatment process feel much more manageable. Vanya was my primary therapist, and her care was both thoughtful and consistent. She always explained what she was doing and reassessed my progress along the way, which made me feel confident in my treatment. Emily and Joe were also a big part of my experience. They made the stretching routine feel less repetitive and much more engaging. Anytime I had questions about insurance or scheduling, Maricrus was quick to respond and always offered helpful guidance and solutions.
