I began to look for a suitable place opened during the evening hours and working with my insurance plan. But most importantly, I was looking for a doctor who specializes in neck pain. I was very lucky to find Physical Therapist Jennifer Laube on Yelp, where she was given high reviews by former patients. Doctor Jennifer Laube PT works in Emery Physical Therapy, and she is the most professional, knowledgeable and upbeat person. First, she gave me a complete evaluation, accessing how well I can move my neck and knees, and asked about symptoms such as pain, numbness and stiffness. She identified weakness in my hips, glutes, hamstrings and shoulders and began to teach me how to do exercises that will help me stretch, strengthen and straighten up my joints and muscles. To relieve pain and stiffness, Dr. Laube gives me a deep tissue massage and ultrasound. She gave me a lot of professional advices on how to keep correct posture, sit at the computer, how to walk and how to sleep. She explained to me what my postures were poor and explained their adverse effects on my health. The therapist gave me some exercises to do at home, worked with me for an hour after that, I rarely saw the therapist again every time I came there he sent over a 20 to 25-year-old kid in training to do the same exercises that they gave me to do at home. Never checking to see how I was doing changing the exercises up so after the third and fourth meeting, I decided not to go back.
