My regular barber he moved out of town and I had to find another place to get my hair cut. I went to some random spot and they messed up my hair. I came here because of good reviews. I was a walk in and had to wait about 30 mins on Sunday afternoon. It was fine. There are lots of neat things to stare at in the place and they serve you tea, coffee and water. In the luck of the draw I got Denis to cut my hair. I explained to him how I wanted my hair and showed him what was messed up by previous person. He acknowledged it showed me what we could do and gave me a couple of styling options. Denis is a pretty young guy, but he cut and styled my hair with experience of the guy twice his age. Bravo! I noticed that there were 7 reviews that are not currently recommended by Yelp (for whatever reason) so I decided to make one myself. hopefully a guy who has over 80 yelp reviews can add credibility to the positive things that has been said about this place. I had the pleasure of visiting Ando last Saturday and got the haircut and the shave I wanted. I've tried a lot of salons and barbers in the past, and it has always been hit and miss for me so I decided to give him a try by driving all the way from mississauga. I just pulled up a picture of the haircut I wanted and he got it right. he asks questions (which i like) as he wants to make sure i get the cut i want. the place and tools were clean. the complimentary espresso was helpful as it was really early. I RARELY give 5 stars (only 5 out of 89 reviews) .. but this place deserves it. I like my haircut, but more importantly, the wife likes it too. bringing you a surprise on my next visit. Amazing experience at i barbieri! I found them through blogto and was extremely happy I went today. Reservation was simple right from their website. I travel to Canada from Italy every other month and I usually like to go to my usual barber in Italy. However I had missed my last appointment before leaving and during my trip my beard consciousnesses grew more and more until I decided I was gonna take the risk and fo to a local barber. After researching the internet, I chose I Barbieri. Unfortunately I had to go there without an appointment and I saw there were lots of people waiting and more coming in with an appointment. This is the kind of neighborhood where people do not like to spend money if they don't get value for it so it was promising. VERY good barber and nice attitude ! I'll be making my 4th consecutive visit to i Barberi this afternoon. The reviews on this place are all correct. The quality of service along with Ando's passion for his craft is incomparable in this city. The unassuming yet stylishly comfortable environment sets the framework for a great experience each and every time I visit. On most occasions, I'm greeted by name and offered a beverage (coffee, espresso) while I wait for Ando. I never wait more than 10 minutes (this is with an pre booked appointment). Ando is an intelligent person which makes for some great conversations during the sitting too. The thing that impresses me the most is Ando's intentional desire to know his customers. He takes notes both about your style and your story. Each time is like a continuation of a long conversation. The only "downfall" of iBarbieri is it's popularity. Make sure you book your appointments weeks an advance or you won't be sitting in Ando's chair very often. read more

I was immediately greeted when I walked in and found myself in a comfortable yet stylish shop. Ando was a great barber - very friendly, outgoing and easy to talk to. He worked extra time just so he could perfect it, and he took that extra time out of his own lunch time, how many people would do that? And you also get coffee and cake for waiting! I got a very good haircut here. Unlike some haircuts which don't look so good the next day, this one held. I was very pleased with it. My negative experience was the shave that I also requested. It was rough and uncomfortable, and he nicked my cheek. My skin was red and irritated for days afterwards. And the shave wasn't even as close as ones I've done myself. I had been a regular of Anthony's previously years before he opened the shop. I lost contact and was unable to track him down and so glad i eventually did. I visited the shop 2 weeks ago and got the best shave and cut that i have had since losing contact. Ever since losing contact with Anthony I was so unimpressed with the cuts and shaves that i was getting from both local barbers and salons and would change stylists constantly. Anthony makes you feel welcome and so does his co-barber Steve, offers of complimentary Espresso and gives you his 100% attention when you are sat in the chair. I went for a cut(a fade to be exact) but I was also enticed by the shave, which is something I haven't had done before. One of the barber is very rude and will laugh at your hair if you do not choose the hairstyle that he wants. Be careful if you have him. He's a skinny and thin guy and seems like he smokes. I think his name is Mark. I'm not sure. He really did messed up my hair real bad. He actually made me self-conscious and lowered my self-esteem because of the haircut. read more

After 4 years of bad haircuts from franchised haircut stores (ex. First Choice and GreatClips) I finally decided it was time to find myself a Barber. I decided to go to I Barbieri after reading such great reviews. I didn't make an appointment and showed up 30 mins before closing and was greeted with a firm handshake. I told Ando the haircut I wanted but my hair wasn't long enough in some parts due to a previous bad cut. He cut my hair great in the original style I wanted when I got the bad haircut and I will definitely be back once my hair grows for the style I wanted. We had a pleasant conversation and he tailored my haircut to fit my hair type and cut my hair to my exact requests. Only thing I was disappointed in was not getting a complementary espresso after expecting it from reading the reviews but I'm not complaining as I showed up 30 mins before closing without an appointment. Super clean and friendly place. Had my haircut by Mauro today and he did a excellent job. I have been to many barbers in my life and find it hard to find someone with the skill and eye to give a good barber cut. Mauro was efficient and super skilled. I usually have to clip a few stray hairs myself when I get home, but not this time. I also saw a few other customers with the other barbers and was impressed with all the cuts coming out of there.
