I was so nervous because I've had such bad experiences at other salons (even a big name salon). She was so welcoming and really listened to what I wanted. I did show her some inspo fotos. I felt very comfortable after our consultation. She was very meticulous with her work. She took her time and demonstrated precision and patience (she is a perfectionist). Fast-forward to the end, I was so happy. My hair looked so much healthier and she literally did exactly what I wanted. I have been back since then, and will continue to go back as long as she will keep me as a client. Asked for highlights and showed the owner a few photos of the color I wanted which was more towards the ashy blonde/light brown side and perhaps w/ pink or purple highlights. I was drawn to this salon because of the amazing pictures, so I did innately trust the owner who seemed to be extremely personable and professional to color my hair at least decently. Went home under natural light to find my hair color two shades darker and basically black with some barely there highlights behind my head that were inside my hair. Went to another hair salon ten days later to color correct, and the stylist literally said: "i don't get it, there are literally strands of white that haven't been dyed just like randomly put into the back of ur head". Felt like my hair was dyed on a whim, and she didn't really put much thought into if I liked it or not. I remember texting her to get a color adjustment before I took matters into my own hands-- she texted back once that she'd be willing to and then I never heard from her again after multiple attempts to reach out. It's funny cuz I would've dropped any amount of money just to get my desired result, and would've been a faithful repeat customer. The photos show the effect I wanted and what it turned out to be. I can't think of any other reason why they'd do this since they all seemed so nice, except that she thought she could get away with it.

The haircut and style took about 2.5 hours, which is a very long time for what I was getting. HOWEVER, I know that these are hair stylists in training but I guess I just didn't know how long to expect to be there. My haircut was a little uneven so the supervisor fixed it up for me. It isn't perfect now but it is pretty decent. I'm not sure I would go back just because of how long it took.

They use great products, tools and I love his technique. One major difference I see in the shop is the increased diverse talent and vibrancy of the staff. I appreciate that in a hair salon. Bookings are online or phone call, parking spots are across at Einstein's (I learned the hard way today and parked in the big lot next to Sprint and had to pay an event fare) and Starbucks is up the block if you need a coffee/tea although the staff here will gladly pour you a mimosa.
