The last 2 times, when we got the boat back it appeared it had been left uncovered for some time due to the leaves on the boat. This year as we were boating, I was unable to put the boat in neutral. The boat is 3 years old. We had Wilson Marine come pick it up to have it checked out. They found that during the winterization process, the lower end plug was not put back in, causing water to fill it. The end result, 2500 dollars in repairs. When I contacted Kevin at Sandy's, he stated that they would not take any responsibility, and further stated, maybe someone vandalized your boat and took the plug out. Give me a break! I asked Kevin if they would at least cover my 250 dollar deductible for my insurance claim, and once again he smugly and rudely said no. After talking to people on the lake about this, I found that numerous people have had complaints about Sandy's and don't use them. Needless to say I will no longer do business with Sandy's.

But I did call numerous times no one ever told me it would cost me 10.00 to park on top of the 35 45 bucks to canoe for two elderly adventurous people, just glad to be getting out to do something active for a change on a limited income. We both have bad knees, can't run handicap sticker in our car that is 20 years old (kind of lucky to have even made it)! I told the lady sitting at the park I can't afford 10 dollars she said well the web site says it cost to park, I said I did not see it any where on the web site. Talk about a ridiculous cost to park while you canoe. I said for even handicap senior citizens she said yes. I said Well I am not paying that, I can't afford that, we will figure out what else we can do. So I looked around for some place to park where we could walk into the park without paying couldn't find anywhere. So, we went to the one that is in ann arbor FREE PARKING. Ridiculous it would seem like something else could be figured out with this expensive cost.
