We met at the selected time and place and after some brief conversation we headed to the river. River fishing is very new to me. We talked how how to wade safely especially on the slippery and muddy conditions and how to safely wade unfamiliar water. We got started by Hunter evaluating my rig then watched my casting offering tips and suggestions throughout. We discussed different methods from streamers to nymphing as well as how to fish riffles or not. All in all I feel I got a tremendous amount of info from an experienced angler that I could ask questions as they came up and not just a YouTube video. But I did call numerous times no one ever told me it would cost me 10.00 to park on top of the 35 45 bucks to canoe for two elderly adventurous people, just glad to be getting out to do something active for a change on a limited income. We both have bad knees, can't run handicap sticker in our car that is 20 years old (kind of lucky to have even made it)! I told the lady sitting at the park I can't afford 10 dollars she said well the web site says it cost to park, I said I did not see it any where on the web site. Talk about a ridiculous cost to park while you canoe. I said for even handicap senior citizens she said yes. I said Well I am not paying that, I can't afford that, we will figure out what else we can do. So I looked around for some place to park where we could walk into the park without paying couldn't find anywhere. So, we went to the one that is in ann arbor FREE PARKING. Ridiculous it would seem like something else could be figured out with this expensive cost. Been on several busses that the ppl forgot to attend to the bathroom. There was supposed to have been phone chargers under the seats but we never found them. But our driver( forgive me I forgot his name) was very professional and very knowledgeable about the local construction conditions and saves us 15 minutes by avoiding them. Way to go! There an actual video of her horrible driving. To top that off the two drivers had a huge verbal disagreement in front of everyone.
