This review is meant for the management to realize, since they don't already, you have many people, and animals that are relying on you and trusting you to ensure that they get the utmost, best care possible 24/7 365 days a year. There are no cutting corners, just because you feel like it. There is no "forgetting" to feed horses. There is no leaving a horses water bucket literally reeking of horrid smells due to not getting dumped of old water and cleaned properly. There are no days off when it comes to horses. Maybe you should've considered that before jumping into such a business, because clearly you are not competent enough to care for so many large animals that require so much. Several times I would come out and find my horse had not been fed, no water, due to the 4h/lesson girls feeding the horses and forgetting to water. The management here is uneducated, classless, inexperienced and just downright doesn't care about you or more importantly your horse. The boarders who come here, either stay and basically have to come everyday to take care of their horse, which is like throwing money away since you pretty much are - when your supposed to be paying someone else to ensure your horse is getting what it needs when you aren't there. Then there are the boarders who truly care for their horse and are actually intelligent enough to see this dump for what it is and they leave to find a more reliable barn where the services they pay for are actually followed through with. You can't trust these people as far as you can throw them, which really isn't that far at all. Besides the less than stellar care, the management themselves are truly inexperienced, and immature for that matter. Not an ounce of professional behavior, which is what happens when you have a simple kid running the place with no means of how to run a business, and two adults who clearly never grew up themselves. Whenever you try to talk to them about a problem you are noticing about your horses care, they immediately shut you down and handle being told the truth by telling you to get out. They simply can't handle the fact that they don't know how to run a boarding facility, and won't fix the problems that keep costing them clients. Since they are all about the money, it seems like they'd want to fix some things about this barn that makes any decent boarder run the other way. The facility itself has a nice layout, but the barn is not kept up. It has a very junky cluttered look. Nothing is kept up. The fencing for the horse pastures is not at all acceptable, as it is cheap wire that is always falling down. They never fix it, just leave it down so horses always get loose here or worse, they injure themselves by sticking their legs through the wire and getting caught in it. I've seen many horses get badly injured here due to this. The arena footing is hard, and gets very dusty. They never water it down. On the weekends it's pretty much impossible for boarders to enjoy their horses due to all of the lessons. There are only two cross ties as well so pretty much impossible to tack up as well. The hay is not stored properly, so oftentimes it is covered in mold, and not a good quality. Basically more straw than actual hay. The grain is a no name brand, low quality. They refuse to feed horses individual types of grain, they think every horse is able to function on the same type of grain. Evidence right there of how uneducated they are. As far as supplements go, you can bring those, but good luck actually getting the owners to feed them to your horse. Water buckets are never scrubbed, never even dumped half of the time because owners are lazy. Stalls are not bedded properly with shavings, they are very stingy with those. The owners do not live on site, which results in hours during the day where not a soul is here. It's bad enough at night, but during the day, when the horses are outside, with barely any fencing to keep them in there, going unsupervised. Superior Stables is a mediocre barn run by people who have zero horse sense, or experience in horse care. It's quite ironic how they expect top dollar for their services, yet those "services" are not being provided for the horses here. They see each horse as a dollar sign, rather than a true personal interest in providing quality care for them. The barn itself looks nice from the road, and has a nice layout but unfortunately fell into the wrong hands. It is trashy, dirty, and never clean. Of course with horses it's not going to be spotless. That's not what I expect but what I do expect is for my horses stall to be clean when I come at the end of the day, their water to be clean and filled, and their to be hay in their stall. Non moldy hay that is. I've found more times than not, my horses stall to be dirty, due to them putting another horse in it because mine was near the cross ties, so they found it handy to use my stall as a place to tack their horse up in, whereas in that amount of time the horse in their dirtied my horses stall up, drank their water and ate their food. Unacceptable. Especially when it was still dirty for my horse. Just one of many red flags at this barn. Pastures are overgrazed, never fertilized, maintained. The fencing is just cheap wire which means it was always falling down, horses were always getting injured due to them sticking their legs through it, and they would get loose. The arena footing was very poor, never maintained either. The hay quality was very poor since the hay is kept in a way that the elements of the weather can easily effect it, so often times hay was moldy, and no one cared to notice. If your horse was one of the lucky ones to actually get fed. Since they are lazy, the owners are more than happy to pawn the job of feeding on to inexperienced kids, which resulted in horses not even getting fed, or getting the wrong amount of food. Not enough, too much, etc. Water buckets are NEVER cleaned, to the point where they literally stink, or the water inside is purely vial and undrinkable. Some the horses here like to poop in their buckets. Days would go by before the management would do anything about this. So these horses would be without water in their stall because it was filled with poop. The owners will lie straight to your face to save themselves, and when you come them with an issue, even in a very professional way, they will get loud with you real quick and either shut you down or just straight up tell you to leave. Clearly proving my point that the people running this barn are unprofessional, uneducated, and are downright clueless on how to run a business. This is no business, because they do not provide the services they claim to offer, which is to actually take proper care of your horse. I would never recommend anyone to move their horse here, I actually recommend people to NOT move their horse here, because anyone with half a brain and any intelligence whatsoever, will immediately see this place for what it is, an absolute joke and an unsafe environment for their horse. If you want to throw your money away and pay uneducated people to pretend to take care of your horse, and put your horse in danger, pay for services you do not receive, then by all means, move your horse here. If you want to actually find a barn where you and your horse will be happy, where you will actually be paying for services you will receive, where your horse will actually get taken care of, then go somewhere else. read more

This review of Superior Stables is meant as a serious warning for others looking to board their horse to not come here. The unprofessional, uneducated management, paired with the pathetic, poor quality care makes this a barn from hell. The people running this barn are dishonest, lazy and just simply careless. They expect you to pay dearly for their so called services they offer of caring for your horse, but in return you find out really quick they don't take care of your horse, so why would you pay for services you are not receiving? They can't even provide the very bare minimum of what you'd expect at a boarding facility, making sure your horse has CLEAN DRINKABLE water that doesn't make your eyes water due to how horrendous the smell is, as well as fresh hay that isn't covered in mold. You can't trust these people with the utmost responsibility to take care of your horse, don't give them the chance to prove all of us vouching for their horrible care right, which we are. Anyone who has any horse sense whatsoever will see, within the first week of being here the numerous warning signs and red flags that pop up, and make you want to run, not walk away from this barn. They will lie straight to boarders faces when you try to talk to them about any issue you are having, try to make it out to be that you, the boarder are the problem because you are unhappy with the shitty care your horse is receiving. They never take responsibility for anything, instead they either threaten, accuse, or belittle the boarders. Since the barn is run by kids, and one of the actual owner is barely an adult herself, there isn't an ounce of true professionalism present, as well as horses not getting fed, not getting their basic needs met. Supplements get handed out to horses here and there, never on a daily basis as they should be and as you are paying them to do. There is no order, no structure to this barn because they simply don't give a shit. The facility itself is nicely built but is falling apart due to lack of care and upkeep. The pastures are a complete mess. They do not maintain them at all so they are overgrazed, the ground itself in pastures is rocky and uneven, and the fencing is just cheap wire they slapped up so it is always falling down, not electrified, so horses are always getting out and getting their legs tangled in the wire. The way horses are let out here also raises some serious red flags. They let horses out by letting them go at the beginning of a very long lane that leads into different pastures, causing for horses to anticipate this, and take off running, which leads to also horses getting loose. The way they let them in is even more disturbing. They let the horses run down this same lane towards a single gate where they wait to clip them and lead them in, causing horses to again thunder down this rocky, hard asphalt lane and crash into the gate because they are so excited, causing horses to push right through the gate and get loose. Very dangerous, and unsafe. These people are just plain stupid, clueless and don't have an ounce of logic or horse sense. They simply care about your money, not your horse. Anyone who doesn't see that is just plain ignorant and as other reviewers have stated, a very special kind of stupid. read more

If you have an ounce of intelligence, common sense, or any horse sense at all, you will not board your horse here. You find out almost instantaneously that the people who run this barn do not give a shit about your horse. They are robbing you basically of your money because you are paying them to take care of your horse, which they do not. It's a shame that they even think they have the right to call themselves a horse boarding facility, much less an actual business. This barn is run by a young girl who is absolutely clueless about horses, horse care, or the professionalism that goes along with managing any type of business. The adults who help run this barn are clearly never quite grew up. This resulted in exactly what has been happening here for years, a growing problem that they used to be able to hide, but the truth is coming out and the care has reached an all time low. The barn is not maintained well at all, leading to many injuries amongst the horses, and even worse, deaths. As a boarder, you basically have to come out everyday just to make sure your horse is getting cared for, so basically you are caring for it yourself. Never once do they ever dump water buckets and refill with fresh water (as fresh as the water will be out here) which isn't saying much since it's filled with lead so it leaves a gross clear layer on top. Otherwise your horses bucket is left to become stinky and slimy because they simply don't care. Often times when they pass out hay, some of the horses don't even get any because they have random 4h girls and lesson students do it just so they don't have to. This further results in horses not getting their supplements in their grain either. They put horses in your stall that don't belong there if they feel like it, so oftentimes the stalls aren't even cleaned at the end of the day. The arena is monopolized by lessons almost 24/7 so it's impossible for boarders to ride in it. The pastures are horrendous, basically a huge mud pit with no grass/hay for the horses to munch, or even shelter from the sun. The fencing is cheap plastic so it is always falling down and horses always escape. Your lucky if your horse is even put outside. Often times they like to lie about putting your horse out when they have been inside just because they're too lazy to put them out. They will lie straight to your face about things regarding your horse and its care just to save themselves. When you confront them tactfully with an issue or issues you've noticed they brush you off and tell you to leave. Instead of admitting that they are to blame and need to fix some things, they act like they have done nothing wrong. This barn is a mess and the people running it are a shit show who need to get their shit together or do the horse community a favor and shut down. Don't pretend like you take care of other people's horses when it's obvious you don't. My advice to anyone looking for a quality place to board - it ain't here. Go to a barn where you know 100% your horse is getting what it needs, and then some. Where your money is being valued not wasted. read more

Anyone who thinks that this barn supplies honest, reliable and appropriate care to the horses on it's property, is a special kind of stupid. It's so obvious from day one that this barn is a joke, and the people running it are an even bigger joke. They have no fucking clue how to take care of horses, they are uneducated, liars, lazy, careless, and only in it for the money. The owners will lie right to your face in order to cover up their shitty services. The boarders (the ones that aren't completely stupid) have to come out everyday and take care of their horse - make sure it actually has clean water that doesn't reek, and hay that isn't covered in mold, and that their horse actually gets the proper grain and supplements if needed. You are basically having to take care of your horse yourself here, while paying way too much money to stupid idiotic people that don't do shit. When you address a concern you may be having they don't listen, they just tell you to pack up and leave. Thank god I just decided to up and leave with the way they were treating my horses. They try to cover up the fact that they are irresponsible, careless, and lazy with blaming the boarders, making it out to seem like they are the problem, even when the owners themselves get caught red handed doing what they are accused of doing: not taking care of boarders horses correctly. The facility itself is very nice, very modern but also it needs some major fixing up, because the owners do not keep it up. When something breaks, they don't fix it, they leave it, making it dangerous for both horses and humans. It has a very junky trashy feel. The arena is a nice size, but never enough room for boarders to ride in on weekends with all of the kids there. The pastures are just a shit show due to the extreme muddiness, the amount of potholes caused by mud, making it extremely dangerous with horses running full speed across it. I've seen so many horses get injured here due to their neglect. The fencing is also a huge issue. It is just wire, not electrified so the horses plow right through it and often get tangled in it causing injury. The way they let horses in and out is also a complete shit show. These people need a serious reality check, you have no place in running such a business, because you clearly know NOTHING about being professional and providing quality care for others horses, much less your own horses. This place needs to either be shut down or someone else needs to manage it, you know, someone with actual horse sense and knowledge. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the services my horse received here. My trust was betrayed, as I trusted in these folks to properly care for my horse. Make sure he had all that he needed, and was ATLEAST getting food and water everyday. It's a shame when you find out you can't even rely on the management to feed your horse and provide water for them. I learned the hard way that the people in charge here simply do not care. They don't care about your horse the way they make you think they do. They are dishonest, lazy and don't know a thing about how to run a business or take care of horses, as I also found out the hard way with how neglected my horse was due to their lack of care. Aside from the unacceptable level of care at this barn, you will find numerous other red flags. Such as the pasture situation, they never rotate horses, never fertilize the pastures, or maintain them in any way. The fencing they use is a poor cheap wire that is constantly falling down, which results in horses getting loose, or getting their legs stuck causing injury. On any given day, you can come out in the afternoon/late afternoon when you think someone would be here, and will be highly disappointed to not find a soul in sight. Hours at a time go by when no one is out here, since owners don't live on site. Not a good combination when it comes to horses. Anything can happen, and the ones at this barn go without supervision. You will also find that the management is rude, unprofessional, and doesn't know how to admit that they have a serious problem in their idea of how to run a barn. They are simply clueless. When you try to talk to them about issues you are noticing with your horses care, you will find that their way of solving the problem is to ask you to leave, which really only hurts them in the long run, not the boarder, since it gives us the opportunity to get away from this toxic place and find a barn where the energy is happy, positive, where the horses actually are getting the care you pay for. These people need to understand that the job they are implying they are doing, is not one to be taken lightly. You are caring for people's horses, their babies. With that comes a lot of responsibility, trust, and careful attention to detail, and a certain level of compassion, which is obvious these people clearly lack. It is more than clear now that they are not to be trusted with such a high level of responsibility, because they simply don't give a s*** and it's just a matter of time before all of the other clueless boarders still here realize that. read more

For what you pay at this barn in exchange for the care your horse receives, you will be shocked at how the two simply don't add up. Horse owners with any horse sense, knowledge, and owners that truly care about their horses, will not board here long. You will see the numerous problems and red flags with this place very quickly. For one, the management does not know a thing about providing proper care for horses, that is clear from day one. They also don't seem to know very much either about managing a business, or horses for that matter. It's very clear also they really do not care about your horse, even though, you're paying them to care, top dollar at that. Yet they really could care less. They may put on a good show for you at first, but their true colors will always show through in the end. When you have to come out to the barn every day just to take care of your horse, make sure it has a clean stall, food, water, basically take care of it yourself, which supposedly paying someone else to do all of this for you, you know it's time to leave. When you can't trust the people you thought you could with the care of your horse, you know it's time to leave. When time after time, you come to the barn and your horse is without water, without food, because they choose to have the young lesson girls handle feeding instead of responsible adults, you definitely know it's time to leave. The inadequecy of this barn will speak for itself. It's simply not run right, no sense of professional behavior, no order, everything is a mess. The barn is run by a kid herself with no experience, no knowledge, making everything else so much worse. The barn itself needs some serious TLC, as when things break here, they stay broken. It needs new owners, maybe then it will actually be a true boarding facility. Until then, it is simply a joke run by people who are an even bigger joke. read more
