Hit me! 21+! I'd like to double down on this place. This is…read morea small liquor store on the side of the highway. It's not exactly the easiest to get to out here, but it did save some time. We came in here and grabbed some rum. They had free ice in the machine outside, which was an added bonus! Their wine selection seemed to be more of the cheaper stuff. Their liquor selection had all the regular favorites, with some weirder cheaper brands that I hadn't heard off. The beer selection did a good job of showcasing some DFW Metroplex beers, and even had some Austin breweries. There aren't many brewery options in Cumby, Tx, but this store sells plenty of beers from elsewhere. This liquor store seems to be a converted home along the highway. You can see how they just knocked the walls out to build out the liquor showroom retail floor. But the back rooms seem to be in use as storage and office space. The clerks were friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. We grabbed some mixers and the free ice, and were on our way!

He had genuinely friendly customer service. This visit, there were two white males behind the counter talking and joking very loud like it was a rowdy bar. Very distracting and ignorant. I barely received a hello or acknowledgement upon waking in. It was more of an after thought and felt forced. Arrogant and cocky was their general attitude. The previous owner, whom I purchased from several times over the past 6 months, was genuinely friendly and much more professional. They'd even carry my box of liquor to my car when I purchased 6 or more bottles of liquor. These two knuckleheads seemed to be more in love with their macho Texas manhood and smart a** remarks, than genuine customer service. I bought a box full of booze and never was asked if I needed help carrying it to my truck. Store was empty. I first thought the asian owner hired another shift for the evening. Then I realized he may have sold the business to these two clowns. Checked Google, and it confirms a new ownership seems to have occurred in March 2026. Looks like I am gonna be going back to A1 or somewhere else.

They have lots of popular brands along with some small/unknown items as well. They have chilled wines, beers and champagne. However, once they noticed me, one of the associates asked if I needed help but then walked away while giggling. When I went to check out, both associates continued looking at each other and giggling, which came across as extremely condescending and unprofessional. I eventually asked them directly if there was an issue because of the way they were behaving toward me. They attempted to explain it away by saying their manager had sent them something funny, but given the circumstances and the way they were acting, it did not feel genuine. As I was already walking out, they also offered me tequila in a way that felt inappropriate and dismissive, and it came across as a possible racially insensitive remark given the overall tone of the interaction. I understand that employees can joke around with each other, but customers should still be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism. I left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. I hope management addresses this type of behavior because customer service should not depend on whether employees happen to find something amusing while a customer is being helped.

Clearly it was not for them, she just couldn't carry it all to the counter. The lady then harassed the kids for their IDs because they didn't look old enough (they weren't obviously) they weren't pretending to be. When my friend explained the situation she wouldn't budge and refused the sale and she told her "we could've found you a cart". If that was the case we should have been made aware of policy before checking out and the situation could have been handled in a much more mature way. Would not recommend coming here!
