I just came back from a family vacation, which ended with several days in Paris. Our large family…read moregroup was spread out in several hotels, within the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood. For myself, my husband and teenaged daughter, I chose the 'Hotel Millesime.' I loved the idea that it was once part of the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and I really wanted a small, boutique hotel. I could not have made a better choice! This hotel is a little gem!! We were given the top floor room, which is a small suite (so my daughter could have her privacy). The suite was very well appointed, in a classically minimalist fashion, and all was in pristine condition. The bathroom looked brand new and every day we were provided with lovely small local soaps and hair-care products. The breakfast in the basement area was beyond delicious! There is just about anything that you could want and the location (the basement being the most original remaining part of the building) was very atmospheric and peaceful. Once we finished breakfast, and were ready to start our day, we just stepped out the door and were right in the middle of just about everything Paris has to offer! You can walk to many of Paris' top attractions and there's plenty of amazing cafes and bistros waiting for you, when you come back hungry at the end of the day. The hotel's front desk attendants were super helpful and provided both directions and recommendations to the various sights and restaurants. The neighborhood is also very safe and we frequently returned to the hotel quite late - having become enthralled with the local night-time cafe culture. If you have children, or are traveling alone, I highly recommend staying in this area. Despite being so close to the left bank nightlife, the Hotel Millesime is on a quiet street. The only thing that I heard regularly were the beautiful bells of Saint Germain-des-Prés! Overall, I cannot recommend this small hotel highly enough! It really made our stay in Paris perfect.

The elevator is an antique one that travels up and down the middle of a winding stair case. The staff was very helpful. They were also generous with their free snack bar every afternoon. The room itself was a bit small by American standards, but pretty good for Parisian standards. It was nonetheless clean and comfortable. The balcony was larger than I expected and had a great view. The only negative I can think of is that the toilet in the bathroom was too close to the wall, so I would have to sit on the toilet seat in a slightly diagonal direction.

Lots of choices and polite & helpful wait staff although the weekend wait staff is sub par compared to the weekday staff in breakfast room. This hotel was very convenient for us ~ 2 blocks off the Champs Elysees, easy for Uber/ Taxi's too. The concierge, Dominique was a God Send for us with directions, recommendations. Our room was spacious for the 2 of us, extremely comfy AND large bed, great pillows, mini fridge, good reading lights. Our housekeeping person did an excellent job especially in the bathroom - and a couple days we left the room early afternoon, so I am sure we were the last room of the day! My only observation not positive was in the bar ~ our first night we stopped in for a cocktail and she proudly offered Manhattan or An Old Fashion. I mentioned I like a splash of cherry in my Manhattan and she replied "oh, we don't have any cherries." WTH???? How do either of these drinks not get served with cherries? And she said she was the bar manager!!!! Hence why my rating should really be 4.5 stars ~ lots of other bars in Paris Wouldn't hesitate returning or recommending the Rochester ~ besides I love a man in tails, so tre chic

Metro lines are within 3-12 minutes walk. Its cross street is full of Asian restaurants mostly Japanese, which is perfect for us (because we need rice too!). Only 1 negative that I hope they can correct...The shower door which opens inwards is too wide for the size of the shower stall that someone of a larger size like me would have to squeeze on the corner to get in/out of the shower. Overall, This is an awesome hotel that I will keep recommending.

Square Louvois is in a small alley but inside has so many characters and charm from the moment you walk in. Fresh flowers greet you as well as the friendly staff. Everything is on a smaller scale like a little nook and cranny of the computer room, the waiting room, the reading room, and etc. Everything was modern and up to date with a hint of Parisian accents and charms. I believe it's one of the newer hotels and had no issues at all except our trip got extended to another night and there wasn't any rooms available due to its popularity for our next night. Location is great to explore the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and is a central location from the tourist side and the local side. Price was also reasonable and would definitely recommend this for your trip.

We were greeted warmly and began the check in process in the main lounge area. Since our rooms weren't ready at the time we were checking in, we decided to go out grab lunch and return right after check-in. It is a very quaint and charming place with a small elevator, but large enough to fit a few adults. We went up to our room and it was absolutely lovely! We had a room facing the main street with double french doors to welcome some fresh air and look out at all of the foot traffic passing underneath. The bathroom is generously sized for Paris and was absolutely adorable with L'Occitane products provided. There were sparkles in the bathroom tiles to give you a hint of fabulousness as you shower. There was also a table and two chairs along with a large TV and an extremely comfortable bed flight by two bookcase shelves on each side. I loved that they also provide bottled water and a few complimentary drinks in the fridge. We spent every evening in the lounge area chatting amongst ourselves and made acquaintances with a lovely Brit couple that happened to be on their 10th visit to Hotel Monge. They provide free tea and coffee all day along with snacks and a generous honor bar, which I absolutely loved. As well as a hammam in the basement. Definitely clears your pores and skin and makes you feel so refreshed! Without question, I have found my Parisian home each time I return.

I lived in this area many, MANY years ago and it was wonderful to be back. The hotel itself is adorable and I loved the staff. It's very clean, there is an honor bar and breakfast (which I never woke up in time for once) and a Turkish bath (which I did not have time for either so can't say anything about). I initially gave them a 4 star, because, no it is not the Ritz, and there are no bathtubs and it is small--but the sweet attentive service and cleanliness and cute vibe are much appreciated.
