We had some skepticism when we first booked this hotel. It was in a good spot for accessing lots of the main Paris sights, but it was at such a low price, we worried it was not going to be the best quality. Boy were we wrong!
The property has an old-world charm to it, but with lots of modern touches. The lobby is sleek and bright. There is a stairwell and an elevator, but the elevator is quite small so be aware of that and maybe make two trips if you have lots of luggage! The room itself was pretty average-sized, but large enough for two people easily.
The bathroom was modern and a tad on the tiny-side, but we made it work! The most important things were that the bed was comfortable and the room was nice and clean.
The hotel keys have to be left with the front desk each time you leave, but it was never a problem for us. There is always someone there at the front desk to hand you the key back when you walk back into the hotel from your day out.
The area is a quiet neighborhood with a great view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance and lots of great little cafes and shops right around the neighborhood.
We never felt unsafe even when walking at 10pm at night back to the hotel from the tower. It is about a fifteen-minute walk to the Eiffel tower, and several tours and hop-on/hop-off busses leave from the Champs-Elysees so we absolutely loved the proximity.
With how expensive hotels can be in Paris, I think this boutique gem is a great option for those who still want to be pretty close to the attractions, but not spend your whole vacation budget on accommodations alone! read more
