My family has been coming to Paris and staying at the Bonaparte for over 30 years. I just cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the people that work there. Yes, it is a traditional Parisian hotel and we love it this way. Eric, Magdalena, Frederic, and Rani are most hospitable, helping in any way they can to make your stay in Paris as original and enjoyable as possible. And they have all worked here for many, many years. The rooms are not large, but very comfortable. They have smart tvs if that is your thing, a small refrigerator, which is always great to have, and terrific bedding. The bathrooms all have a blow dryer, and marble counters and bathtubs with shower attachments. I always had hot water. Yes, the elevator is small, but that is part of the charm. They offer breakfast at 10 euro, but we did not avail ourselves of this option. And the location of the hotel, in the center of the St. Germain area, is perfect. If you want tradition and an historic stay in Paris, I highly recommend this hotel. If you want a more "American" type hotel, with more amenities, this might not be for you. I just love the Bonaparte. read more
