Not bad for an old, inexpensive Paris hotel right across from the train station. Room is small, as expected, with fake hardwood floors and four single beds. The bathroom has a small raised shower, no tub, with a hand wand for washing, a bidet, toilet, sink and small shelf just above the sink for toiletries. My wife said it's not easy to find a room with four single beds so keep that in mind if you're traveling in Paris with kids and you don't want to spend a fortune on a room. The hotel offers a inside continental breakfast from 7 to 10a daily for 7 euro a person and kids under 10 eat free I think. We stayed on the 6th floor (the lift only goes to the 5th which is so Paris) which offers amazing views of the Eiffel Tower, the cathedral of Norte-Dame (partial), and Sacré-Coeur. I'm a clean freak and this hotel, given its age, does a decent job of being clean. There's only a couple things to beware of, first, this hotel sits in the middle of a very busy intersection so there's lots of noise coming in the room. Plus no AC so if you want to sleep with the two windows open you better bring ear plugs. And finally, our room faced west so in the late afternoon the sun blasts through the windows. Close the curtain and you close off the much needed breeze. read more
