My buddy got the loaded fries with brisket queso, steak, and brisket, and they were amazing. That brisket queso had an awesome smoky flavor, and the portions on everything were HUGE. We were both impressed with how much food we got, and everything tasted fresh and packed with flavor. It is definitely on the pricey side, but with the portion sizes and quality of the food, I'd say it was worth it. My only real complaint was the small seating area, and the wait was pretty long. That said, they're upfront about it...they make everything fresh and even warn you that they "aren't fast food." So if you're willing to wait, I'd definitely recommend giving The UpperCut KC a try. Great food and huge portions!

This place has so many meat and seafood options for sale and a restaurant. Chilean sea bass was on the fresh today menu. We decided to treat ourselves. Everyone in the restaurant/store was so nice! We tried out the restaurant. My husband had the "Mariah's Badass Boss Burrito." It has lobster, crab, shrimp, and Wagyu steak. He ordered fries, which were unfortunately doggy. He said the burrito was good. I had the Teal Tide steak wrap. First of all, that "wrap" was massive. I would call it a burrito more than a wrap, ha ha. It has grilled Wagyu steak, feta cheese, beef bacon, crispy onion straws, and blueberry-jalapeño bacon jam on a rosemary tortilla. I ordered mine without the onion straws. The steak was flavorful and tender and the blueberry-jalapeño bacon jam is addicting! I ordered a side of their coleslaw and it is one of the best coleslaw recipes I've ever eaten!!! The next night, I cooked the Chilean sea bass using an online recipe for both of us. Talk about treating oneself: the filets didn't taste frozen. They were buttery and rich!!! So good!!! My husband and I loved them. Thank you for brightening up our weekend, The Upper Cut!!! You've gained two new customers.

It's also in a pretty convenient shopping center - the intersection of Kietzke and McCarran is pretty much where everything else is. Prices are a bit higher than Whole Foods, and I haven't had a chance to compare them to Sprouts yet. However, product quality wise, this store is second to none, and has a lot of vitamins and supplements you cannot find elsewhere. Only policy that's a bit goofy is that you have to bring your own bags, as they don't provide any. Personally, while I understand why many people dislike plastic bags, it's a pain in the tush to deal with sometimes.

This location has gone down the toilet. First, they rarely have what I need, Shelves are constantly…read moreempty, making the trip a waste of time. Second, the store's location is hideous. Parking has always been a challenge and the lot is mostly dark after sundown. The store was expanded recently but the layout is a nightmare. The produce aisle is near the front door so just getting in the store can be a nuisance with all the people perusing the produce. Also, the remaining aisles are insanely narrow. Recently, more businesses have been built nearby with no additional parking so the parking issue is now worse than before. Why they expanded this current location and instead move to another larger location is beyond me. Of all the Aldi stores I've visited, this is by far the worst built and managed anywhere. When I go there with a list, I leave with more left on my list than in my basket. I'm no longer defaulting to Aldi's for my groceries and only go when I desire one of their unique items, which isn't often This location can close permanently, for all I care. The customer ahead of me was helped with a warm attitude -- the cashier, Linda, smiled throughout their interaction and displayed great customer service. However, when it was my turn, the energy completely shifted. Linda looked at me with clear disapproval and asked, "Is this it?" in a noticeably dismissive tone. I only had one item -- allergy medication -- and paid with my Dasher card using tap-to-pay. After the transaction, she slid the medicine back to me without a word. I politely thanked her and mentioned I'd just be putting the item in a bag since the customer requested a doorstep drop-off. She didn't respond -- just continued staring at me with the same cold expression. As I walked away, I said, "Hope you have a good rest of your day," and again, nothing -- just more silent staring. What made the situation even more frustrating is that as I got to the door, I heard her greet the next customer warmly, smiling and asking how their day was going -- a stark contrast to how I had just been treated. I don't expect over-the-top friendliness, but basic courtesy and professionalism should apply to everyone -- including delivery drivers. This interaction left me feeling singled out and disrespected. 'm not someone who pulls the race card, even though I'm Hispanic. But maybe it was my tattoos, or the blue in my hair -- who knows? Whatever it was, I felt judged and dismissed. I've worked in much more professional roles, and I know how people deserve to be treated -- with basic dignity and fairness. If I were in a management position over Linda, I'd have a serious conversation with her. Her job is not to treat some people like they matter and others like they don't. Everyone deserves to be treated with equal respect, whether they're shopping for themselves or working hard delivering for others.
