They have $.25 sample shots (minimum of 4) which is so awesome. Tessa, not only was amazing but she crafted one of the best fall drink I have EVER had. Yes, you read that right..ever! I told Tessa not to gate-keep because it's that delicious but only offered in October. *sad face* This spot is definitely a cool spot to have a few drinks with friends. This is a very cute little shop in downtown Weston. We've been a few times before and had a lovely time in their little downstairs bar/lounge area. The store itself has some cute items at fairly reasonable prices as well. That said, the last time we visited, the lady working at the counter was a bit rude. We asked if we could turn on the Chiefs game downstairs (we had planned to spend plenty of money on drinks and snacks) and were met with frustration that she would not go and try to turn it on as she did not know how. They also close pretty early on the weekends, or at least on this particular day, so it was a bummer that we didn't end up getting to hang out there. I would still recommend visiting, but probably not for a fun little boozy day. read more

"Country Store" is a bit of a misnomer. I vote they change the name of this spot to "McCormick Local Booze Jamboree." It'd certainly be more accurate. 90% of the merch sold here is alcohol, and 90% of that is brewed right there in Weston, so that's pretty cool. McCormick's makes a wide range of alcohols (of varying quality) and their 360 line is allegedly a super premium vodka, and environmentally friendly to boot. The variety of flavors is staggering. Throw in some local whiskeys, small batch tequilas, and a smattering of highly questionable party liquors (think Tequila Rose) and you've got yourself a recipe for fun/disaster. In the back is a small bar where you can "sample" the products for an insane $.50 a shot. Now, there are signs everywhere that say the maximum is two samples, but I've heard stories of people doing many more than that, so who knows. Either way, that's just such a fantastic deal that you can't fault them for limiting the boozehounds. The other 10% of stuff they sell? Cheesy tourist-trap products. Plastic wine glasses that are geared towards the bachelorette party set. T-shirts of questionable taste. But you're not going here to browse anything other than the booze,so why does it matter? This place is always worth a visit when in Weston. How else can you support local in such a cheap, boozy way? read more

The moment you walk into McCormicks Country Store, at least one friendly employee greets you and informs you that you can taste any two items you see in the store .50 each. They specialize in flavored vodka (outrageous flavors from cake batter to peach) but also have tequila, whiskey, and rum. If you haven't had corn whiskey before (and I'm not talking moonshine), definitely give it a try as it has a very unique flavor. Plus everyone here is so incredibly welcoming. The owner took time to discuss his favorite whiskeys with us, and one of the ladies serving samples was nice enough to make me a "chocolate martini" (chocolate vodka + irish cream) when I couldn't decide. I can already tell you probably came here for the shots. I know I did. For a mere .25 cents a pop, you can knock back two shots of the liquors of your choosing. This is the moment I discovered tequila rose. I'm a girl's girl, are you really surprised? It tastes like a party mix of strawberry milk and pink amoxicillin. Don't judge me, I liked it! They also have a key lime pie liquor that is pretty delicious too. In the end we left with a bottle of the 360 glazed donut vodka and a dozen mix-and-match shot mini's. I prefer the 360 flavored vodkas as they are premium. Most of what they sell is alcohol, DUH! There's also a ton of merchandise--pretty much anything you can think of. Sadly, nothing is distilled in Weston anymore. Worth a visit! read more

As tourist spots go, this one's fantastic. On our visit each shot was twenty five cents. Limit two, but the options were overwhelming! I definitely enjoyed it. Very quick in/out with no fanfare, which was refreshing. It is a small retail store with pretty great low prices on merchandise like shot glasses, mugs, apparel, and of course lots and lots of liquor. We had to pick some up. Kind of genius on their part to get everyone a tiny mini-buzz while shopping here. I am sure this store does well, as it should. It also serves to remind you that McCormick's does a lot more than just cheap vodka. read more

How lucky am I that this is my little town? After the remodel, they can open up the front windows so you can sit and chat with people as they walk by. The bar in back has lot of choices for drinks - bring your quarters and you can buy a few shots - yes I said quarter as in 25 cents a taste. They have a large selection of liquor - not all McCormicks brand, some 360. Their Irish Cream is far superior to Bailey's and the newest Irish Cream is even better than the McCormick brand. I'm glad I happened to walk in when they first introduced since they told out in something like 1 1/2 weeks! And if they don't have it, the store at the Distillery does. read more

I'm not aware of anyone that really wants to walk around in a 360 vodka shirt or have any other McCormick's vodka paraphanalia.
