    Sherry's birthday celebration
    Sherry W.

I couldn't have asked for better weather and a group of people who joined me in Weston, on 10.20.19, to kick off the celebrations for my birthday week. Hank took care of us all! The .25 cent shots were the bomb.com . Some of us left out of there with some bottles to take home. The store is very neat, organized, and clean. They have vodka (in every flavor), rum, tequila.

Great place for tasting the different liquors, flavored vodka, and five farms Irish cream. 25cent samples plus inexpensive signature cocktails and Irish Creme Coffee. Not sure what cocktail you want or ca t make up your mind, spin the cocktail wheel and try something different. As you leave be sure to pick up the free specatiity cocktail recipe cards to make your favs at home.

Peach vodka and club soda and triple crown with Diet Coke.

Neat place. Went during an art walk so it was crazy busy and the bar couldn't keep up nor seem that interested in doing so.

    Booze!!!!!!

"Country Store" is a bit of a misnomer. I vote they change the name of this spot to "McCormick Local Booze Jamboree." It'd certainly be more accurate. 90% of the merch sold here is alcohol, and 90% of that is brewed right there in Weston, so that's pretty cool. McCormick's makes a wide range of alcohols (of varying quality) and their 360 line is allegedly a super premium vodka, and environmentally friendly to boot. The variety of flavors is staggering. Throw in some local whiskeys, small batch tequilas, and a smattering of highly questionable party liquors (think Tequila Rose) and you've got yourself a recipe for fun/disaster. In the back is a small bar where you can "sample" the products for an insane $.50 a shot. Now, there are signs everywhere that say the maximum is two samples, but I've heard stories of people doing many more than that, so who knows. Either way, that's just such a fantastic deal that you can't fault them for limiting the boozehounds. The other 10% of stuff they sell? Cheesy tourist-trap products. Plastic wine glasses that are geared towards the bachelorette party set. T-shirts of questionable taste. But you're not going here to browse anything other than the booze,so why does it matter? This place is always worth a visit when in Weston. How else can you support local in such a cheap, boozy way?

So much fun spinning the wheel!!

Exactly What You Expect--With a Side of Interesting Characters…read more It's a standard 7-Eleven--no frills, but it gets the job done. Conveniently close to base, which is great when you need a quick snack, caffeine boost, or a late-night taquito you'll regret but also kind of love. We asked the attendant a question and they were super kind and helpful--shoutout to good customer service in unexpected places! You can pick up Amazon packages here, which is a win. Just don't show up with a huge backpack--there's a sign on the door about no large bags inside. Pretty sure that's a theft-prevention thing, which is understandable but a little inconvenient if you're just passing through. Felt relatively safe overall, though the stream of people walking in and out is... let's just say colorful. Definitely makes the visit more entertaining. Nothing fancy, but solid and reliable. 7-Eleven, doing what 7-Eleven does best.

Today I stopped in for a cup of ice and did my usual, handing the cashier exact change and telling her I'm just getting a cup of ice. She was just finished with the only customer in line, but usually I'll do the same if there's a long line. Nobody has ever told me this is a problem for years of doing it 2-3 times a day. Today though she decided it's a problem and, instead of politely asking me not to do it anymore, she raises her voice so everyone in the store turns to look. She says, "SIR, I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRANSACTION! YOU DO THIS TO ME EVERY DAY!!" I responded as I walked to get my ice that she could have simply asked me not to do it anymore without being so rude about it. I got my ice and started to walk out the door. She was standing at the end of the counter talking to this heavy-set, bright red haired, off-duty employee, who I guess is some sort of supervisor, telling her that I do this every day. I said, "All you had to do was say something without being a rude bitch about it," and I walked out the door toward my car, which was parked in the closest handicapped parking spot. The off-duty supervisor followed me out the door like she was going to become physical with me. She was yelling at me like a wild animal. I turned around and said, "Who the EF are you talking to you fat pig?" She actually said, "I may be a fat pig, but I bet you'd like it if I sat on your face!" I can't believe how lacking these people are with common sense customer service etiquette. Both of these employees need to be fired, and the store management needs to be changed. She told me I'm not allowed back in "her" store. I laughed as I drove away. The sad thing is I used to enjoy shopping at this store. I'll make the extra trek to Casey's from now on.

Whether you're getting pizza or filling up is a great place to go. Nowadays, when you have to use a card at the pump and then a card at the counter it is nice that tracks provides you with a reward card that when swiped to the pump allows you to also then pay just one time inside for any extras that you were getting. Plus you get points that can be returned for either cash or special promotions that are going on. They always have a different group of items every month that are changing that are on sale some much better than others. They have a great selection of fresh food, though if I could say it does seem like the wraps have gotten a little bit smaller in the last year I'm not sure if that's a budget issue or just a manufacturing problem. But being able to go in and grab a healthier option instead of a candy bar is really nice. They also have a subway at this location so if you're looking for a more sustainable meal than stop in and grab a foot-long, I have done that on several occasions and this is a great option for dinner. All in all this is a very nice track store and I will continue to enjoy going here for years to come.

Service was perfectly friendly and kinda funny.
