I just had a great experience with Hyperion Tree Service. We had a huge and challenging project with a very large, old, sick oak tree that had large limbs overhanging my roof as well as the neighbors' fences/back yards etc. They did a fantastic job with that work. I had received estimates from about 10 other providers, and their cost was very competitive. They also had the best communication about the process, and their cost included removing all of the lumber. We also chose to add on other tree trimming and pruning and poison ivy removal, and they did an awesome job consulting me on how best to handle the side yard and overhanging branches. Mike and his crew at Hyperion are the number one tree service to call. We are repeat customers, after they were recommended to us by our neighbor. Mike is an excellent communicator. He provides timely estimates, and his rates are very competitive. We had a very old tree in the corner of our yard with branches that extended into two other neighbors yards. Mike's team layed down thick mats so their trucks would not damage our neighbor's yard or leave deep tire tracks, which provided them the best access to cut down our tree. After carefully and meticulously cutting off each limb, they then cut down the very large old (about 80 years) trunk. They made it all appear so easy, as only highly skilled tradesmen can do. They did a suburb job cleaning up and removing all the limbs and debris. They then went next door to our neighbors to tackle their next project. The only reason they didn't come last week was because it rained most of the week, which is out of anyone's control. My husband and I truly appreciate the fact that they asked us what we wanted to to do with our dead tree trunk. Mike came out to give us a quote for 10-12 trees to be removed from our front yard. While he was there he also took care of a downed branch for us. He was very personable. Until I followed up a week later and he said he would invoice me for the branch. To the tune of $500. Meanwhile, the other estimates were removed full trees with stump removal for $400-500 each. I felt $500 was exorbitant and retribution for not going with his company. But his full estimate was $4500 - other companies were $4000 and $3000. Once I paid the $500 Mike thanked me and blocked me from social media and also blocked my cell number - my teens noticed the color changed on the texts. Several people like this company, but I learned from other tree services that I'm not the only one to get screwed over by them. Take your chances if you decide to use them, and get several quotes because Hyperion came in the highest for us. I scheduled them to prune 4 trees and they showed up as promised. These trees were planted (baby trees) when my house was built back in 1995 and boy, have they grown up! I had low branches that needed to be removed, as well as upper branches that were at risk of striking my house and I just had a new roof installed 2 months ago. The crew was courteous and did an excellent job. They cleaned up all the branches and used a leaf blower to clean off the lawn, walkways, and even the curb. When we have had other trees removed, we had to use two separate people for tree removal and stump grinding and the stump grinding people left a huge pile of wood chips behind. I used Hyperion Tree after removing our fence and realizing some trees needed removal as well. I contacted Hyperion and they were out the next day, having sent a very fair price via text in response to my photos.
