This is not an inexpensive hotel, so I would expect much more than what I got! It looks great when you first enter; it has a beautiful lobby area with a bar and two nice urns with complimentary flavored water and a great seating area with comfortable chairs and couches. As they state, all rooms are non-smoking and there's an included complimentary mini-bar with a bottle each of Coca Cola, natural water, sparkling water, sparkling apple juice, and beer and a small canister of Pringles. The mini-bar gets refilled with the items you've consumed. There's also a machine in the room for coffee or tea. The room looks very modern is somewhat high tech; the shades are operated by a switch on the wall and you press a switch on the wall for the "do not disturb" sign or the "housekeeping" sign to illuminate on the outside of the room.
Now on to the items with which I was NOT happy. There's no door going to the shower room. If you're not there with someone with whom you're *very* familiar, it can get a bit awkward for those who are more modest about nudity. If somebody is trying to use the desk and they look left (or right if the room configuration is different than the one I was in), they have full view of the person in the shower; not good! The hairdryer in the room didn't work no matter what I tried. I called guest services and the person said they would replace it; nobody came, so no hairdryer. We left the hotel the next morning at 10:00 to roam around town and returned at about 4:30. Even though we had the housekeeping light switch on, the room wasn't touched at all. Not a big deal except I had left a note for housekeeping to replace the hairdryer, so, of course, that wasn't done either. There were housekeepers in the hallway (mind you, this was 4:45 in the a, so I asked for another hairdryer; one housekeeper came into the room to check the dryer and said she would replace it, but never came back. Since our room was not cleaned, I got some clean towels from the cart in the hallway myself, so when someone came and asked if we needed towels, I let her know our hairdryer wasn't working and the other housekeeper never came back and she said I'd have to call the reception desk. Well, I guess I'll have to call them again, but I expect I'll have to go another night with letting my hair air dry! All in all, for the money spent, I wouldn't come back to this hotel. read more
