I've spent cash on alterations for two sport jackets and at least four pairs of pants. This was expensive for me but getting your clothes done by a professional always will be worth the money. I'm assuming that all is going well with these alterations but I won't know for two weeks. I wanted them to take their time to do it right. As soon as this is done, I will take my clothes to his recommended dry cleaners. Be aware that the hours here say they are open on Sunday. This is incorrect. The website doesn't have the latest updated schedule. Your best bet is to always call ahead of time if you are under a time crunch. In my case, I was called Friday and was told my clothes are ready. Unfortunately, I'm not anywhere near that area so I'm going to have to pick it up on Tuesday because Monday is a holiday. Planning ahead works for me, but many people wait until the last minute and alterations are one of those things you need time for. Other places may accommodate you, but I'm sure you won't get the same quality. Actually I just realized that this was sitting in my drafts waiting for me to finish my overdue evaluation. The clothes were done very well and they are still looking good. One pair of pants that are my favorite now look very well on me. I use them a lot. Can't find any faults with their alterations. I definitely will use them again even though they are pricey. You get what you pay for here no doubt about it. I've read the reviews about this establishment and all the negative comments are from people who don't understand work, quality, speed, & cost.

When I picked up the suit, I was told there wasn't enough material in the jacket to loosened it so they just fixed the pants. I tried to explain that it was a suit and only fixing the pants didn't help me at all. The man that works there said I should have told him not to fix the pants, if they couldn't fix the jacket, but i didn't know until I picked up the suit and I was initially told both could be altered. He said he didn't care and I believe him. ****** If they didn't tell me there was enough material in the jacket to loosen it, I wouldn't have left the suit to be altered at all. ******

Most places are hit or miss and I leave clothes concerned about the results. From the start, I had confidence in Kelly. She took the time for me to try the jackets on and knew what the length should be based on the type of jacket. I've been a couple different places where the people didn't know how things should look, only asking what I wanted and if that looked ok. I left two jackets with her to hem the sleaves. My jackets came back in a week and the sleeves were $25 each. They are perfect. The stitching is excellent, the fit is exactly how it should be and the jackets don't look hemmed. The sleeve cuffs are straight and look original. I'll be back here for all my alteration needs.

I'm not impressed with the fit of my jacket and the pants are a bit too short. Also, I was charged for an alteration which was not performed resulting in having to leave my pants for almost another week. Somehow I was charged even more than the original quote. Lastly, when the tailor was actually there and saw me try on my suit he offered no feedback and really seemed to not care about the fit. On a positive note, they did successfully sew a button correctly on a shirt I brought in.

So I stood up on the little podium and he had 'em each marked in about 15 or so seconds flat. He asked me when I needed 'em; I wasn't in a particular hurry so he gave me a six day turn. I tried on each pair once I picked 'em up and they're perfect! Not only is he a very good tailor but a gentleman as well. He is affable and friendly with a neat, well organized shop. It's plain to see he takes pride in his craft and has a great work ethic. So if you need any kind of alterations or tailoring performed on your clothing, this is the fellow to see. You don't find old school workmanship like this in too many places anymore. If you like that, then Fred is your man. I finish by leaving three caveats before you visit. 1. He charges in advance for the work he performs. 2. He only accepts cash and Zelle. 3. His services AIN'T cheap. That said, Fred is probably the best tailor I've ever used. I bought this unique fabric bag and have used it for many things, latest of which is for bringing stuff to yoga sessions! After years, the seams started to come undone so I popped by to chat with Fred. I told him how important this bag was and why and he agreed to fix it up for a very reasonable price. Fred went the extra mile and reinforced every seam in the bag and told me we were good for another 20 years! Fred also fixed the belt loop on a pair of jeans but they don't have sentimental value to me. Still, he did it perfectly! Life is a good with a local craftsman who does his best work for you!
