My wife was thrilled to find Sheppards Pie she could try. They have a lot of beer on draft, including a local IPA. The atmosphere felt like a polished authentic pub. I enjoyed every bite. The only thing I was disappointed about is that it didn't come with soda bread as it stated on the menu because I love me some soda bread. We found street parking and after perusing the prices of a few places, decided the the restaurant of Boat Inn was affordable and welcoming. The dining room was mostly locals (a good sign) and we ordered the fish and chips plate. It had a great presentation and came with delicious, not overly oily fish, chips, mushy peas (well seasoned) and two types of salad-a crunchy, creamy Cole slaw, and a spinach salad. Very filling, and probably the best fish and chips we tried on our 2 week tour of Ireland and Scotland. The severs were also very friendly and on the attentive side, and even helped us out with the tricky pronunciation of the small town. We went on our way, bellies full and countenance brightened, ready for the rest of the drive. If I'm through that area again, I won't hesitate to stop for another meal or perhaps even stay at the Inn.
