They told me my system was completely shot and that it would cost me 25K to repair. When we balked, they said they could cap it off so we could put in a gas or electric model. Kenneth went on the roof and spent some time up there checking it out. I was told it looked good and to start with a duraflame type log to make sure the smoke went where it was supposed to. It was stressed to me that if the smoke entered the home, I should only open the front door and nothing else, in order to draw the smoke up the chimney.
