DO NOT USE this company.. they have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I had them fully resurface my pool and convert it to a salt water pool. The entire time I never knew what was happening since they refused to communicate with me.. they finally finished but after that I set up a weekly cleaning and over the last 4 years they have without any warning, canceled my service and stopped coming for no reason at all even though they cash my checks and I have had to get my pool fully serviced by another company numerous times bc they let it get all green and moldy.. now their phone has been off the hook for the last few weeks and they never contacted me after hurricane Ian and have just left a 5 year customer hanging yet AGAIN.. they are the worst and Damien should be ashamed of himself for running such a horrible company and all his manager should be fired read more

After informing several people in management that my pool tech hardly ever showed up and when he does show up he wouldn't check chemicals, he just throws in some chemicals and leaves.(I have 2 cameras in pool cage by the way)I've asked many times to for them to vacuum to no avail. I had to buy vacuum on Amazon and do it myself.(pic below of debris.) It took over 10 months for them to finally agree that I had a leak that was causing upward of 70,000 gallons per month. They kept blaming the auto fill even though I told them it was off. That would have made sense if my pool was always full or over filled, but it was always low. (I was filling manually since Feb just to prove it) I fired them in an email and that's when the owner Damian finally got involved and defended his staff by saying that they were great which would be awesome if it were true. Basically he made it seem like they haven't done anything wrong. Which would mean that I'm wrong. He didn't even try to keep me as customer, just removed me from route. Damian on Sept 27th promised he would send me a letter to submit to water company for credit and that's when I agreed to the discounted amount to fix leak, Steven came out a few days later and fixed it.(he, by the way is great) It is now October 10 and have not received letter and he won't respond to my emails. I of course have already received bill for fix and will send out as soon as I get letter. read more

Hydrotech pools refinished our pool white pool to a light blue. Their site describes a first rate process and guarantees excellent results. We noticed immediately that the pool had very poor coverage as the old finish showed through in multiple areas. Photos were sent to Damian and he promised to come out and refinish appropriately. The attached photos show the very poor quality result. After stringing us along for more than a year, I have finally decided to post a review describing the poor quality job and the utter lack of customer service. We have been attempting to communicate with Damian regularly for more than a year and he has had ample opportunity to make the job right. I had my pool heater fixed on 10.9.17 for $160. Cause was a temp sensor. Job was Done Rite (co. name). A week later, the 17th, some lady called and told me a guy came by on the 11th and checked it out (without my knowledge). She (Pam) said he didn't open it up but ran a diagnostic (impossible)...then went on to tell me I gad a whole shopping list of problems that would basically require me to purchase a new unit.. By far the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. Hired Jaime Maroony to refinish our pool and it turned into months of excuses as to why he couldn't show up to do the job. After doing most of the preparation myself, because he wouldn't show up to do the job, he hired the worlds worst "tile guy" to install the expensive tile we purchased and it turned out extremely unlevel and generally unprofessional looking. He wasn't around to supervise at all either. Jamie said it was fine as its just aesthetics and only repaired a few spots. The tile is over an inch out of level in several areas, which is clear as day to anyone! I truly think this has devalued our pool since the waterline tile looks worst than it did before we invested in refinishing since it WAS level beforehand! He agreed to a month of service in order to maintain the water balance after plaster and never showed up again. I contacted Jaime to request a partial refund and he said to not contact him again and his lawyer would be in touch. Want months worth of uncalled for frustration and a contractor completely unwilling to do the right thing afterwards? A job that ends up worse than you could have ever imagined? So after meeting with one of the employees at my house to review the pool project, I waited 3 weeks for the quote. I called to follow up and they didn't have any of my records and basically said I had to start over. So someone else came out to the house now and got the info. Then we had an appt in Bonita to get the quote and review the pool and they didn't show up. This is now after both my husband and I had to leave work early and fight traffic. They said they called all their appts to cancel due to emergency yet again we slipped through the cracks. The office we did see was messy and full of dogs. Hydrotech resurfaced my solid concrete pool deck with travertine pavers. It came out great. They started and finished when promised and there were no surprises. The only issues were the clean up afterwards wasn't great and they broke a few tiles around the spa during the travertine install. It took over a month for them to match and replace the broken tiles. Not a huge problem as I withheld some of the final payment until it was completed. Overall it looks better than I expected. The price was lower than the average of the estimates I received. I wish i had never heard of these guys. i'm left with a wrinkled screen canopy, blamed on the frame and not the work done. As well as causing damage to my 5 day old aluminum patio cover. My well was shut off to my house without anyone being notified, and now i have filth sucked into the water system ruining thousands of dollars of equipment. The owner is dodgey at the least, and takes multiple days to answer emails or return phone calls. There is NO accountability that I've seen as of yet. I was told this job would be a few days and it's been working on close to almost 4 weeks!! So to sum it up: wrinkled screen, wrinkled pool, damaged water system, damaged patio roof, and refusal to accept responsibility. Words can not describe my recent experience. Called Hydrotech to find a significant leak in pool on or about 9/21/17. Technician arrived on 9/27/17 and went about preparing pool for leak detection (placed pool automation in service mode, closed off valves at pumps, etc.). Technician could not find source of leak but placed some epoxy in a small grout line and advised me to not turn pumps back on for 24 hours so epoxy could cure.. When the tech was leaving I noticed him open my Jandy automation control box, do something inside then close the box, after which he left. The next morning around 11am, I happened to be walking the perimeter of my property with a general contractor on another matter and found that my pumps were running, my plumbing to the pumps was damaged the pumps themselves were hot enough to fry an egg and I immediately noticed that the pool automation control had been placed back into automatic mode (instead of service mode where it belonged due to the fact that the valves serving the pumps were still closed as a result of the leak testing done by the technician). Since no one other than the technician had access or reason to open the service box it was clear that the last action he took before leaving the prior day was to place the system back in automatic mode. This would have allowed the system to turn on automatically at 8:00 am. I will point out that this action by itself was not catastrophic BUT for the fact that he did NOT reopen the pump valves in conjunction with turning on the automation. It gets worse, first I immediately call Hydrotech and ask to speak with Damien (owner), who was reported to be busy and would call me back, instead I left a message with someone in service regarding the problem and was advised that someone would be out the next day to address. When Damien calls me back he states that "my pool guy must have turned back on the system"... I told him that their was "NO OTHER" pool guy and that his guy was the last to touch the system. He said that his maintenance lead would reach out to me but assured me a tech would be dispatched no later than the out the next day This is now Thursday afternoon and no one shows up. On Friday by about 1 pm, no one had showed up again and I was forced to call the service lead for status. He advised me that one of their guys did not show up for work that day and the earliest someone could come out would be Monday, (I was pissed and of course called back into the office to again speak with the owner, and of course he was once again busy but would get back to me, which of course he did NOT). Finally, on Monday 10/2/17 a technician shows up and attempts to get the pool running buy making some quick and dirty repairs to plumbing. I had to stop the tech from doing what he was doing since he was removing new expensive fittings that were damaged and replacing them with used straight pipe. He goes back into his truck and finds another used (damaged) but correct fitting and installs that. Not happy..... he turns everything back on, checks for leaks and indicates that the relief valve on the filter still has a problem (did not before Hydrotech came out, since it is fairly new). With that I assume he would be ordering the part and coming back to address. This leads to more calls and finally they replace the minor part. The pumps which were new but in my opinion severely compromised by running for 2-3 hours dry were never addressed but you guessed it, a bill arrived.......... Terrible is all I can say. By the way, called a different company to fix the leak and they located it within 10 minutes, had a crew out the next day to dig out the broken underground pipe, fix it, clean-up the job site and be on their way. (that was a professional experience). It was a huge break, so someone with even marginal skills should have been able to locate it which is why I called Hydrotech to begin with since they advertise that they are the guys the other pool guys go to for leak detection.... read more

After two inspections to understand the scope of what we needed, Damian the owner sent a proposal that didn't match the dimensions but promised us on three occasions to revise it so we could sign it and send the deposit to hold the promised date. He never delivered on his promises and when we called yo confirm that indeed they would be over the third week of Jan as promised, he refused to talk on the phone or respond to emails. Hydrotech installed our Pool. Damien, the owner, was initially very helpful and responsive through the sales process. Once the contract was signed, I never heard from him again. I placed many calls and emails for his assistance when issues during construction came about and then post construction with issues. Never a response and I was passed around from person to person with no ownership on our project. (Two ladies in the office and the field tried t assist but had no support in the office). We had many issues and while this happens often with companies the true test is how a company responds. I give them a F. We are almost one year post install and our lights still do not work; never have. After two sets of fixtures that stopped working within 10 minutes they installed a dim wattage so there is no light. My electrician said he can't figure what the heck they did and can't fix. They do showcase our pool here on their site though; ironic as they just don't care. read more

Today Hydrotech Pools completed the refinishing of my pool deck, concrete apron to the garage and the entryway to our home. The results are amazing. We had the house built 30 years ago but this renovation has brought a new improved look to an older home. The workers of Hydrotech are true craftsmen in how they prepared the existing surfaces and shaped and colored the new concrete to realistically resemble natural flag stones. They were very patient in working with my wife Mary Ann to get the color and shading to her satisfaction. This company practices a business ethic that is missing in much of today's world. I had tiles falling off the waterline of my pool for years. It looked terrible. I asked for recommendations from my neighborhood association. I got a pretty glowing review from a neighbor. I am happy to say Hydrotech was phenomenal! Their technician Dilier was able to salvage almost all the old tiles and redo them looking like the original install Dilier and Hydrotech did a great job, and I can't say enough good thing about them. After being satisfied with their craftsmanship, I decide last year to have then install, solar heating, screen encloser, and brick the pool deck. I found a leak and called them to repair it. They came out and did additional testing but agreed that the leak was around a supply line. They fixed it with epoxy but it failed again and the epoxy is crumbling and washing away like chalk when you touch it. II called them to explain the problem and they said warranty is only 30 days!?! Would have to pay another $150 for the repair! Not happy and would not use them again. read more

I recently moved to naples and inherated Hydrotech as my pool company. The next three months went fine until we had issue . Instead of servicing the issue Hydrotech went into a full pitch to sell me a more expense replacement item instead of a minor rubber gasket repair, which I picked up at a pool distributor for 15.00. The last issue was the start of the decline in service and my TRUST. The next three months did not meet anyone standards, the service date was changed without any notification or contact, the monthly pricing plan was increase without proper notification or discussions to explain the additional fees, in addition the regular service guy was replaced by three different service tech's . The final straw was the last issue, each week a different tech would arrive and contradict the previous service tech had noted or applied chemicals to adjust. Acid levels were to high, chlorine levels were out of whack, and on and on. I contacted management and explained my issue , I had to leave two messages and no reply from management, Upon third attempt I reached the management team and after a brief discussion, I felt there were to many excuses and not enough value to continue this relationship. What ever you do, make sure you stay away from Hydrotech Pools. We used this company to service 3 of our pools in Naples for less than a year and it was a compete horror show. The company is dishonest and the service is absolutely sub par. We had non-stop problems with all 3 pools due to their negligence and lack of proper care. They were contracted to service our pools once a week, and on many occasions they would just not show up. We would call and Pam in the office would literally fight and lie to us that they were there when they were not. If the technician showed up he would spend no more than 3-5 minutes at the home, failing to perform basic things such as fill the pool water when low, even though it is on a timer...It was one constant problem after another all due to incompetent service on the part of the technician. We were constantly calling the office about issues and instead of trying to resolve the matters, the office manager would play mind games with you, with lies on top of lies. If zero star was an option, that would be us. Rude, unresponsive, condescending, slow, expensive and end result was nothing like we wanted. 10 months later pool deck is totally overrun with weeds growing up from sand layer since no protective liner was laid first. The deck has been extremely slippery since it was finished (about 2 1/2 months late) last November. Deadly. Much of the grout is sloppy and just plain looks cheap. This was a $40,000 renovation and to this day I'd bet a dollar to a donut that if I called Damian he would NOT return the call, never does. If only I could start all over again. Even my husband has given up. Please help yourself and move on. I envy the other 2 reviewers and wish it had been us but no such luck. read more

Called three times to obtain a quote for pool cleaning services and a possible redo of my pools interior, simple enough. Not one call back, called again for a 4th time and the Owner answered "real busy, don't have time for service quotes but call back later Summer and we'll try to get around to it when we have more time, thanks."
