I have been a patient at this clinic for the past several months and have had great success with my…read moreGLP-1 weight loss program. Unfortunately, my experience today completely destroyed my confidence in this practice. The office opens at 9:00 a.m. I arrived at 9:20 a.m. to pick up my next month's medication before leaving town. This was a routine refill, and I specifically planned my morning around it because today was my only opportunity to get my medication before my trip. When I arrived, the receptionist informed me that she was the only employee in the office and that nobody was there who could actually assist patients. She told me someone was supposedly on the way but had no idea when they would arrive. I waited, hoping someone would show up, but when I left at 9:30 a.m., a full 30 minutes after the office had opened, there still was not a provider or staff member present who could help patients. While I was waiting, I was informed that I could not receive my medication because I needed a new physical. This was the first time I had ever heard of this requirement. Four weeks ago, when I picked up my previous month's medication, nobody mentioned that I would need a physical before my next refill. Had I been informed at that appointment, I would have scheduled one immediately. Instead, I was only told about it on the exact day I needed my medication and was leaving town. I explained that this left me with no opportunity to schedule the required appointment before my trip. I was then told there were no providers available, no telehealth appointments available, and no way to resolve the situation that day. What was most disappointing was the response when I explained that I had never been informed of this requirement. I was told, "I probably did tell you that. I'm really good at reminding people." That response felt dismissive and did nothing to address the fact that I was now being forced to interrupt a treatment plan that had been working well because of a communication failure on the clinic's end. My frustration is not with the requirement itself. If patients need a physical every six months, that is a reasonable policy. My issue is the lack of communication, the fact that the office was not adequately staffed when it opened, and the complete lack of options offered to help an established patient avoid an interruption in treatment. When it comes to healthcare, communication, reliability, and professionalism matter. Patients should not discover critical refill requirements only after arriving for a scheduled medication pickup, especially when there is nobody available to help them once they get there. Because of this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Called back and was told I had to make an appt, I didn't want one. Put results in my chart and give me a concoction. We have to set up a call. Carrie states she doesn't understand why I'm still tired and to do blood tests now and stay on regular PCP scripts of progesterone/estradiol (I was hoping for a concoction from her based off my results). Rec'd a call moments later saying my card was invalid. I returned the call stating I thought this call to go over results, was part of the initial $750 meeting. No. Carrie doesn't work for free, I'm told, by Val. I explained I've had nothing but testosterone prescribed for a year (my fault for taking so long to get saliva test done) and nothing else prescribed (other than their supplements) and don't feel I should've had to pay for a call that resulted with buying their supps and having a blood tests. Val tells me she'll get back to me. Response: Hi Michelle, I spoke with Carrie and she said she will waive her consultation fee, despite you having a 35 minute consult taking her time and she will be cancelling the Testosterone script. She recommends you follow up with your primary care provider on your hormones. We will note, that you will no longer be a patient at BIH so you do not receive further communication. Thank you.

I had been wanting to try botox after hearing many good things about it from my coworkers, friends and family. My friend had recommended Youthbar to me as we had been talking about her migraines and our RBFs and how it's helped her. I called in I was met with one of the friendliest receptionists I have ever come across. She was patient with despite my many questions and talkative nature and when she couldn't answer my questions, she booked the free consultation for me where I could ask all the questions I wanted. My consultation was with Meadow. She was very friendly, answered all of my questions, and didn't push me on getting more done than I wanted. She made me feel so comfortable I ended up doing the procedure! It was quick, minimal pain, and I am so happy with the results! My take on all parts of this business is below. Procedures: Frown Lines - I have botox to correct my frown lines around my eyebrows. While the frown lines weren't terrible to begin with, this is a preventative measure to make sure they don't worsen over time. Pain is like a 2/10 for me and there were no scars. The effects started around day three. It was weird not being able to make my "mad" face anymore. Added benefits aside from how it looks are I'm not squinting at my computer screen, my headaches have been reduced to minimal pain or nothing, and I truly believe my mood has improved because of it. I genuinely feel happier since doing this. Lip Flip - My top lip would curl under leaving a line whenever I would smile. It has been something I've been very self conscious of and originally thought I wanted a lip filler to help correct it. Meadow gave me more information about the lip flip and we decided to try that to start out instead of the lip fillers. The pain was a little more than the forehead since there are more nerves in my upper lip but they kindly put numbing gel on before hand to reduce the discomfort. Minimal bleeding but the results ended up being better than I expected. The lip flip has softened my smile preventing my lip from coming up so high it make my lip curl and now it sits beautifully above my teeth and you can see the pink of my top lip! I'm extremely happy with it and it has improved my confidence to smile in my pictures again. Overall Experience was amazing. I went in for estradiol pellets to help relieve a few menopause symptoms. At a later visit, while describing new symptoms, Dr. Rastegar discovered and acknowledged she had forgotten to prescribe progesterone, which is a necessary part of this procedure. She inserted another estrogen pellet before addressing the issue, and added a prescription for progesterone. Once I started taking the progesterone, for the next few months I experienced heavy bleeding and painful cramping, ultimately requiring an ultrasound at my own expense that showed a thickened uterine lining, which is a documented result of receiving estradiol without progesterone. When I raised concerns about the prolonged bleeding, discomfort, and the initial oversight, the response was dismissive and framed as "just a risk of HRT". Dr. Rastegar held no accountability of her oversight, nor did she offer meaningful support. Hormone therapy requires careful management and follow-up. That standard was not met in my case, and I want other women to be fully informed before seeking similar treatment here.

However, this company has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I can't recommend them. A while back, I had tried to get appts for a treatment, but was forced to late cancel twice due to me contracting covid and then my elementary aged daughter contracting covid, once I had a cold sore and they asked me not to come in, and once because I am a displaced elementary teacher and was asked to teach last minute. As a displaced teacher, it is crucial to be available so they will call you again in the future. Rinnova charged me for these late cancellations, which was okay. I understood they were not able to fill that slot regardless of what had gone awry for me. It was a short string of bad luck when I've never had issues with coming to my appts there in the past. For my last appt, they told me it would be no problem to reschedule but that if I canceled one more time then they would not be able to book me in the future. I of course understood this to be the agreement and so I accepted the substitute teaching job for the day and rescheduled, and honored our agreement. Everything seemed fine. I just tried to schedule the same procedure a year later. I intentionally waited until summer so that any substitute teaching assignments would not conflict. After booking my appt, Rinnova called me to say I am not welcome at their business any longer, despite having come to the last appt. It is so disappointing to see a business not be understanding about two conflicts due to covid and the plight of a displaced educator. I honored our verbal agreement which they proposed, and they retracted it a year later; and over the phone, made me feel embarrassed and shamed for it.
