Food is very good. Had an experience, however, with a female server who did not deduct the $20 cash I gave her to offset my total bill. The slip she brought to my table for the difference was correct but after we left she adjusted my slip to add the $20 back on to the charge. I normally don't complain but this was super bad. Me and my mom spent 70+ dollars for the worst meal ever. The shrimp was not deveined (meaning the poop shoot was still in the shrimp. The tempura batter was not actual tempura batter, it was corn meal. Like did white people make this? The shrimp, stake and chicken was all over cooked. It was tough and hard to bite in. My husband & I live in the area and I found this place thanks to Yelp and the amazing reviews of the place. It is an older building, and it is humbly decorated and but it was VERY clean!! The food was excellent. We got the Pringle's appetizer (sounds weird but it was my favorite part of the meal! It was amazing!) & we each got special sushi rolls and loved everything. But there is the sushi bar area and let me tell you, the quality was excellent and the value for the price was tremendous. Food is 5 Star. 10/10 every time. So good! Service and cleanliness is 1 star. I understand it's a bar and they're catering to their demographic, but they're pushing away their customers who would pay more for the high quality food than the others who come in the door. The music is way too loud and the service is always sub par. I've been here at least 10 times since 2019 and I've eaten take out another 25+. I'll continue to order, but I do wish the atmosphere inside would change. It's too loud and drives people away from sitting down and eating. Tips to the owner: maybe move the table to the back room behind the fish tank. Then move the pool table and games towards the bar. Ever feel like wings AND sushi? Dipping fries in soy sauce? This place is a gem. Sauerkraut balls were excellent and appeared to be hand-made. Wings were crispy and very well sauced, true to the buildings roots. The sushi was on point, and at buy one, get one for 50% off, you can't go wrong. Service was excellent, and Alex came over to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Decent draft selection with a few localish brews on draft, not stingy on the alcohol in the cocktails either. This place does have really really good sushi and the service was fantastic. Now, the place is sketchy AF. The interior is, as mentioned in previous comments, disjointed and if I'm being brutally honest, it's kind of dirty looking. Even after reading all of the great comments from other yelpers I was apprehensive. The sketchiest part for me was all of the people from the bus stop across the coming in to bathe. Yes, you heard me correctly. My husband went to the bathroom and was unable to was his hands due to a man using the sink to wash his body (legs and all). This was when we came close to just pay for our drinks and leaving. We stayed and I'm glad we did. Our sushi was great and it tasted fresh. It's beautifully presented and the flavor combinations were spot on. If the food and service weren't so commendable I probably would have taken off another star for the interior and weird people coming in to use the bathroom. The waitress/bartender who greeted us was amazing! She gave us awesome recommendations and was personable and friendly! I'm confused. Is this a pub or a sushi place? I mean, I like both, to be honest, but this place will be semi-confusing when you first visit. Well, it is... it kind of has a townie-dive bar feel, but the sushi is legit. For the restaurant-anxious, like myself, it is a bar-style seating atmosphere, meaning sit wherever the hell you'd like--the music is loud wherever (we moved seats twice), however I found myself singing to almost every song (basically oldies and fun songs). Service was good and friendly, but disjointed. They were attentive, but there were at least 3 different servers that passed by our table to see if we were ready to order. I guess that's good? I mean to be over-attended to than under? Yeah, we'll go with that. Drinks were okay.. drink menu did not explain them--expect an acrylic table-top diplayette with just the names of the drinks on them. Sushi menu was extensive and lots to choose from--buy one get one 50% off which is cool. I always get boring rolls (think California and tempura), but I enjoyed them. My friend got the Six Flags roll, which I stole a couple pieces of and enjoyed. I eat a lot of sushi and this is one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. Their portions are large ( lots of fish) , fresh sushi, and the price are very reasonable. The food art they put on the sushi plates is a real nice touch. What's also nice is that they have an American menu ( standard bar fare ) and a full bar if you have someone with you that doesn't like sushi. It's a fun place and the staff are great. Ordered online, it stated for a bill over $50, expect 30 minute prep time. I arrived at the restaurant at the 30 minute mark, paid the bill and the lady who was wearing a mask (since it is mandated with a sign on the door that everyone must have a mask), she said it would be a couple of minutes. 23 minutes later - I received my food. There were 5 people working the bar/sushi prep area - two with mask, one with a mask below his chin, one without one completely. They never said, sorry for your wait!
