I found Julio Transmission through Yelp, I called him to inquire about replacing the lead frame sensor off a 2017 Ford F150 with 170,000 miles on the 6R80 transmission. I had codes P0706 & P0707 on the Ecu. I told him I had all the parts (lead frame, gasket, filter, oil and a new oil pan with a bolt to make it easier to service going forward) and I would like to know how much he would charge me for the Labor. He told me to text him the codes and he responded and told me the price of $250, I was in shock because the dealer had quoted me $800 depending if there wasn't anything else to change. I did not hesitate to scheduled my truck with him. He explained that he has over 25 years of experience and that he had service these transmissions before. He also shared that he was very familiar with the replacement protocols for the Lead frame sensor. He took about two hours to get it done and so far I drove the truck and it feels great. He showed me the old sensor, gasket, old oil pan and the transmission fluid which had never been changed and it was black. I will update the review if needed but as of now I'm glad I found him.

They do a great job communicating and telling you straight up what the issue is, and they kept me in the loop on progress through every step, which I really appreciated. They were upfront about costs and asked before doing any work, and they were not pushy about extra work like some other auto shops these days. Nothing like coming in for a smog check and having the mechanic try to sell you on five other things that are supposedly wrong. This team is upfront and will work with you on what's a must do now versus what can be held off for later. I brought my car in on a tow truck and they had a spot ready when we got there, and helped guide the driver right where it needed to go. They made quick work of the diagnostic and repair work, and again were 100% upfront on what was going on and what it would cost me. These days it's hard to find a shop willing to work on classic cars. A lot of mechanics now just want to plug in a cable and let a computer tell them what to fix. I also love that this is a generational, family-run shop. You don't see that much anymore, and I like supporting a local business like this.
