I was doing a long drive and got sleepy. I'm trying to earn points with Hyatt so I stopped here. The price varied a little from what was on my Google Maps. Maybe $10 bucks difference. I checked in. The person at the front desk asked a lot of questions as to what my preference is for a quieter room and location. I just wanted to get to sleep and start driving again in the morning. The room was standard, equipped with ear plugs. Had food doordashed to my room and slept well. In the morning I wandered to check the hotel out. They have a gym, pool, and free breakfast. The hotel is located near a huge shopping plaza with Walmart. I'd stop at this location again if I found my self on a long drive again.

Quick check in. Clean room. Comfortable bedding and pillow. Didn't try the food. Nice stay.

Our stay at the Hyatt Delano was perfect. * fast service at front desk * clean breakfast area * clean rooms * friendly staff * peaceful and quiet Our family enjoyed everything about our stay in the Hyatt Delano. We have two little ones and they accommodated for our kids really well. Maybe since it's not a busy location, for us our time there was so peaceful and quiet and really helped our family relax. Love the location too cause there isn't much around in Delano - but surrounding the hotel there are a lot of stores and restaurants for quick bites.

I always try to stay with Hyatt Brand Hotels whenever possible because I know what to expect. This is probably one of my favorite Hyatt Place's to date. Check-in was fast and easy, my room was clean, well stocked, and smelled good. The bed was very comfy, but my pillow was a little flat. No worries.... I just doubled-up on the pillows and slept like a baby. Speaking of sleeping like a baby... my room was super quite, I don't think I've slept that good in ages. The free breakfast offered a variety of choices for most people. They had scrambled eggs, French toast, sausage, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, cereal, pastries, oatmeal, boiled eggs, as well as juices, coffee, and tea. Unfortunately, I had to take a pass on the breakfast, but I did enjoy a cup of coffee. The staff here is excellent! They are friendly and helpful if you need anything. Overall, I really enjoyed this Hyatt Place. I'll definitely return again on my next visit to the area. Recommended!

Rude Staff. Clean and relatively quiet. Nice decor very new. Nice outdoor area, but good luck getting a drink from the bar area even a water. Right next door to several chain stores, restaurants and a Starbucks. It was a good location to where we were headed.

Best place to stay at in Delano. Beds really comfortable and pillows comfortable. Swimming pool outside, also has morning breakfast from 7 to 11 with a variety of choices to choose from. Walking distance to stores with different choices like Walmart and Ross. What I liked the most was the customer service and that the hotel was clean. Definitely would stay here again. I give it 5 stars for sure.

I had a very unfortunate experience at the Hyatt Delano in early October.  I checked in with two other colleagues for a work trip at the Wonderful Company (a prominent and large employer in the area). All of us booked the hotel reservations at the same time and asked for a King bed. I even called the day before to confirm with no problem. We arrived and checked in at the same time as well.  Both of my colleagues had no issues upon check-in; however, I was originally given double-beds on the first floor.  After an awkward exchange, I was finally given a higher floor, but still double-beds, which I did not reserve. Upon entering the room (#426), I noticed a dark spot on the pillow on the bed closest to the window.  It was a bug and looking closely, realized it was a bedbug!  I walked as close as I felt comfortable and took a quick picture. Then,  I noticed another bug near the corner, between the bed and the nightstand and was DONE. I left the room untouched and hurried out with my things. I showed the photo to staff and they confirmed that I could not return to that room due to the bedbug.  They said they would leave it booked to ensure no other guests would be impacted and that I would not be charged. Sadly, no other rooms were available so they offered me a fully-comped stay at the Best Western (where bedbug issues were on a rampage) or at Holiday Inn (where violent incidents recently took place).  I quickly declined and instead used the sofa bed in my colleague's room. I was assured there will be more King-sized rooms available today. I checked in with the front desk the next morning, left my information, but never heard back.  I called, repeated my story to yet another rep and finally connected with the manager, Richard Ford. He proceeded to "casually" bring up that people bring in bugs to get free stuff and said since I didn't cancel in advance that the charge would remain. "No #$@#$%^&^@!%*, sir!" This should go without saying that I was disappointed and rather appalled by our exchange.  Regardless of pictures, I did not use the room for obvious reasons so should not be charged. All I wanted was a fully-functional room (King bed on an upper floor) and that I be charged for what I actually used. In the end, I got one night waived, but only because I dropped "the Wonderful Company's name...

We didn't have a reservation, but the front desk attendant, Jesse, was very courteous and welcoming and made the check-in easy. Our room was a little dated, but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom smelled freshly cleaned. There was a strange urine smell near the sink/entry area outside the bathroom, though the bathroom itself smelled spotless. I mentioned it to Edde (I may be spelling her name wrong), and she was incredibly sweet and helpful. She explained that sometimes when a room sits vacant the pipes can cause that smell. She brought a citrus oil cleaner and suggested spraying it in the sink. After running the water and spraying a little, the smell was gone when we returned. I noticed it faintly again in the morning, so it may just be something with the pipes. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. Linens were clean and we had lots of fluffy pillows. The bed and pillows were a little too soft for my preference, but I still slept fine. The AC works great too. The complimentary breakfast was actually really good for a hotel in this price range. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, home-style potatoes (with salsa), plus fruit cups, soy milk, pastries, cereal, and a waffle maker. There's also complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit available in the lobby. Honestly, for a little over $100 you get a clean place to sleep plus breakfast and snacks, which makes it feel like a really good value. They also have an indoor pool, ice and vending machines, and the location is convenient--there's a Denny's and what looks like a Jack in the Box next door, plus a taco truck across the street. Even though it's right near the overpass, it's surprisingly quiet. Overall, the staff were kind and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it if you're passing through and need a comfortable place to crash.

Once I got to reception, it smelled like someone just smoked and tried to hide the smell, it was a moldy type of smell. Once I was given the key to my room on the second floor my family and I went to get out bags from the car and went inside. Just looking at the outside of the room it was horrible, the doors were scratched and paint looked cheap, the carpet looked dirty like it stayed in the 90's. Once inside the room I turned on the lights and all of a sudden the light started to flicker like an old florescent light from a scary dark movie, the restroom door did not close correctly nor the lock mechanism worked. The tile on the floor was loose like you take a wrong step and you can hurt yourself. The bedding smelled, stained sheets, stained pillows, outed TV technology, cheap branded flat screens with poor quality picture, furniture looked horrible, dirty and poorly maintained. The room had two mini fridges, the original one and the replacement, management never removed the old fridge from the room and the worst thing is that both had spoiled food in there. My family and I did not bother staying the night, we checked out within the hour upon arrival, I requested to get my money back but the hotel staff (front desk) said that we spent the whole night there when clearly on their security cameras it showed that I checked out. They refused to refund me and now out of $110 USD, if you need to stay in Delano I highly recommend to avoid this place there is nothing nothing American to this place and the pictures on their site is misleading, and another thing that I noticed is that their pool was an out door one and it was poorly maintained and the maids looks like they do other things on that hotel than just room service since I saw one coming down the stairs with a missing shoe and straightening her uniform. DISGUTING PLACE.

COCKROACHES GALORE!…read more If you like sleeping and bathing amongst cockroaches, then this is the hotel for you! We arrived at 7:30pm last night after driving 8+ hours from Zion National Park and were very tired. I called around and this was the best priced hotel ($50) and now we know why. Upon walking into the room, it had a very unique odor. We ignored this, ordered a pizza, watched a movie, then fell asleep. Oh yeah and the sheets had major holes, towels ripped beyond usage, but this we could deal with. Woke up at 12:30am to go to the bathroom...turned on the lights and the place was CRAWLING with cockroaches. All over our toiletries, walls, in the shower, etc. We packed up and went to the front desk to ask for our money back as no matter how inexpensive, nobody should be expected to sleep with a family of cockroaches. The front desk employee, who we assume gave us a fake name (an Indian guy named Herman?) said they have never had this complaint before (yeah right!) and would not give us any reimbursement. He said why didn't you notice them before now? Gee, because they come out only at night when it's dark! AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT at all costs! Spend the extra $20 to stay at a nearby hotel who hopefully doesn't have cockroaches. Lisa
