We looked relentlessly for a venue for the party, but every place was either too far or had no ambience. I'd seen pictures from a friends event that was held here and quickly called her to find out all the deets. I called the next day, spoke to Brooke, and went to see the place for myself. I. Fell. In. Love. But I had to coax my mother and sister in law into it. They thought it was too small and just would not work for our 150 guests. I had to quickly explain that the venue also included the outdoor patio! And tables and chairs and ice machine and kitchen and premium furniture and...the list goes on and on! Everything was perfect! We were able to fit our 100 guests and had a band! I'm telling you guys if you need a venue with class and ambiance for an affordable price then LOOK NO FURTHER!!!

Every detail was attended to and even some that we hadn't thought about was perfected by the owner and her excellent eye for detail. We looked to NH for the reception location but due to renovations taking place at our church, we were there for the ceremony as well. That wound up being the best outcome, even though it was not our original plan. I keep seeing people trying to do so much of their wedding DIY. NH will help with every detail and in the end you will have a wonderful even and lovely memories. DIY details added to all they had to offer, but I can't imagine doing everything. They give great advice, but make sure to have your own assistance outside the venue to help organize. NH is an event venue and there is a limit to what that entitles you to. I believe other posters are expecting someone to consult with for every detail and that is not what an event venue is for. They certainly tie it all together in the end but it is your party to plan. Everyone was very professional and organized. There are many items to rent and have available. They have great vendors to recommend. The DJ was amazing and every detail made this a dream wedding without breaking the bank.

If you are in Bakersfield and looking for something to do, I highly recommend stopping by to learn…read moreabout the city's history. Caution: It gets really hot in Bakersfield, so it might be a tad hot. Make sure to hydrate, wear comfortable clothes, and shoes because you will be walking around looking at the exhibits. There are a few indoor exhibits, but the majority are outside. Tours are self-guided, which is a plus because you can freely explore the grounds and village in the back. There are a few indoor exhibits that feature the vehicles used in the past for multiple purposes, and also a barn that includes memorabilia from old bars that our ancestors enjoyed in Kern County. Definitely a cool concept filled with lots of artifacts from the past. What a great day to enjoy a fun blast from the past!

The best introduction to a region is learning of its history. I stopped by as I told my Mom this is a highly-rated experience and gem of the community! Turns out, it is. Kern County Museum is an immersive outdoor experience set up as a community or town where you go from houses to buildings to barns, exploring what life was like when people lived in the olden days. We spotted a hotel, doctor's office, schools, courthouse, and so many more buildings. All the structures are well-maintained and have descriptions in front of them. You're even allowed to go in some of the buildings! My favorite was a the spooky Mason Lodge! We spent a while enjoying the stories and significance of these locations which led to the development of a well-known Central California city! Kern County Museum even has a research center, mini art gallery, and children's discovery center. The facilities are clean and well-kept. There's an indoor section to the museum with background on Native American and war-time culture in Kern. My Mom and I came during a week day, we saw several parents bring their children to explore the museum. There's plenty of parking and room to move around. As an educator, i highly recommend checking this out! It's also perfect for field trips!
