Large lobby, lots of seating.

I found this hotel on Hotel Tonight app and it was close to my conference and less expensive. My room was clean and comfortable. I did have an issue with my shower leaking water all over bathroom but towels kept it at bay and I told them to fix after I left. I didn't get to try their restaurant - always left too early and stayed too late. But the snacks available to buy were convenient! Check in and check out was easy. Loved large shampoo/conditioner and bath gels. The free airport shuttle folks were also very generous with dropping me at the blue line to see other parts of town. I would definitely consider going back to this hotel next year for the conference, or for my next one woman writer retreat!

Airport parking receipt

I paid $144 to park for 8 days, and in my email it says "the shuttle runs every 40 minutes starting at 5 AM"! Guess what? Even though this is marketed as "airport parking", the shuttle is not included! We had to take an Uber. Absolutely pathetic! Complete BS. We were better off parking at the airport. RATING F-

Hidden Parking Fee First off don't be fooled that they are ALITTLE cheaper than everyone else in the area. 1.They will charge you UPON ARRIVAL that parking is an additional 25$. The parking is either across from the hotel or in the back of the hotel (which is fine but they lock that door with a bar from 10pm to 6AM..yes even if you have a key card). 2. There is no pool, no hot tub, no free breakfast. 3. I got into my room and my door had to be forced close because the door handle was broken. 4. There looked like there was a PUDDLE of a certain human fluid on my floor. 5. My bathroom door handle was also broken and coming off the wall. I don't recommend this place at all. Super disappointed.

Stayed here with the fam this weekend, I've never met nicer people than the people who worked at the cafe during breakfast she gave me a spoon even tho there was one right in front of me breakfast was really good and the fruit was fruity, I recommend. The room had an okay view of a casino and some trees not bad can't complain but it was a little noisy at night there was also a TV channel that only had Spider-Man movies, it was dope. Five stars.

This is such a nice hotel! I was blown away with how beautiful it was. The room was spectacular and spacious! I did decide to try something in their restaurant to go and got the taco salad with chicken (there is the option to get steak). Let me tell you, that was the best taco salad I have ever had! You know that adorable video of the little girl that can't stop dreaming about waffles? I can't stop dreaming about this taco salad! There were avocados, had some black beans, corn, delicious tortilla strips, the chicken was cooked perfect, the dressing whatever it was made it superb! I love avacados! The portion was quite generous and I couldn't even finish the whole thing. Kudos to the chef for making such a delicious salad! I wasn't in chicago long but I feel like if I ever do make it back to the rosemont I'd definitely want that salad again! Just look how delicious it is!

Good, quiet location in Rosemont, directly across the street from Rivers Casino. There are plenty of fast food and takeout restaurants within walking distance including Gino's East directly next door. We also were able to walk to the Rosemont CTA station daily, about 20 minutes one-way. Check-in was smooth and as a Discoverist member, they hooked me up with free breakfast vouchers which was nice since other Hyatt locations have never done that for me. The breakfast was ok, wouldn't recommend if you were paying full price...pretty basic and slow service. The rooms were nice, clean and quiet. No complaints there. I believe they also have free self parking, although we didn't have a car. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you need to stay up by the airport or North suburbs of Chicago.

You're not staying here for the hotel, but you're staying here because you need a cheap night next to the airport so you can catch an early flight out of town. Honestly, it's a very old building, and it could look like it needs some updating. But for the price you pay, I've honestly seen way worse at Hyatt Places. This honestly was not too bad. The only real complaint I have is that the lighting in the rooms is terrible. It's just not bright enough with everything turned on. They even gave you nice toiletries from Pharamcopia (smells so nice) and not the usual ones that I got at Hyatt Places. The restaurant downstairs is not open, so look for restaurants nearby. We ordered Giordano's To go which is literally a minute drive away. Definitely walkable. There is also no shuttle to the airport from here surprisingly. Parking for the car is $22/per night. And they have you put a sign on your dashboard because it's technically a city parking lot I think they said. So they actually check the cars. The place is what I needed for the night for an early flight out of Chicago.

Had an early flight out of O'Hare, so picked up a great rate on Priceline and ended up at the Hyatt Rosemont.

Dining: We dined at Thorn Restaurant & Lounge, located in the hotel lobby, and everything was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable, and the cocktail menu did not disappoint. I highly recommend the Not So Old Fashioned -- definitely order it smoked! During our business meeting, we ordered breakfast, and I was blown away by the portion sizes. That breakfast burrito with the oven-roasted potatoes could honestly keep you full all day! Accommodations: The rooms are stunning. The décor throughout the property is modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. My bed was incredibly comfortable, and the large shower provided the perfect way to unwind after a long day. I also appreciated the charming old-school Frigidaire in the room -- such a fun touch! Service: From the front desk staff to the restaurant team, everyone was warm, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel even checked in with me via text throughout my stay, and when I requested extra pillows, they arrived promptly. This was my first time staying at this property, but it definitely won't be my last. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! #YelpEliteSquad

A short fuse and a close call…read more After Emily and I checked in to our hotel room, we wanted to stretch our legs and see if there was anything nearby for some beer and some food. Turns out, Short Fuse was right up the road and a 5 minute walk got us there. For a Sunday, it wasn't too busy but not dead, so we got seated right away. We ordered some beer and took a look at the menu. While nothing really struck our fancy, our waitress made a comment that if we did want any food, it might be slim pickings as they were running out of stuff. Turns out, this day was the last day they were open. Talk about timing! After she mentioned that, I started to notice that people were buying bar signs and various other things. Emily started off with a Guava Gose and I grabbed a Krankshaft kolsch. We sampled each other beers and we both really liked what the other ordered. I don't really know what a gose is but, damn, was that good! I've had Krankshaft before so I knew what I was getting myself in to. We ended up ordering a second round of the same beers and let each other sample the other's beer a little more liberally this time. While we were kind of hungry, nothing on the menu really struck our fancy, especially considering they might've been out of it. Room service took care of those hunger pangs later after a few more beers in the hotel bar. Online reviews for this place seemed hit and miss but I really enjoyed my time there and really enjoyed the artwork on the walls and the vibe of the place. We did contemplate buying some bar signs on our way out but declined as we don't know what we would exactly do with them. It sucks to see a small business close but they did say they may try to open up a new place in a new location in the future.

He looked up at me, made eye contact & went back to writing. He continued writing (I took this as a challenge & started timing his ignorance). After 10 minutes of patiently waiting for him to come ask if I'd like a drink or food menu, I went up to the bar and asked if he could help me. He asked "what do you want?" "I'm thinking of a drink, since this is a bar, and maybe something to eat if you have a menu." A Woodford old fashioned was $20 - this location doesn't warrant Las Vegas pricing. Service sucks - night 2 was a replay. I watched 2 other groups of customers sit at a table, were ignored and then have to walk up to the bar to order and fetch their drinks.

Well, on the night I was there there was a celebration of "La Quinceanera". What is that, you ask? Ahh, glad you asked as I had to also. La Quinceanera is basically a "coming out" party for a 15 year old girl celebrating in the traditional Mexican way. That would certainly explain all the young people (and I mean young!) sipping soda around the bar all dressed up in their finest. I thought I had walked into the middle of a high school dance. For the few of us at the bar who were over the age of 15, I think the bartenders were relieved to be making real drinks as I think the onslaught of "kiddie cocktails" took them all by surprise! Don't get me wrong. WXYZ bar located on the lobby level of the Loft hotel is a contemporary adult space. There are modern couches and chairs clustered around the fireplace as well as a full sized pool table in the one corner. The small bar located at one end has a light "show" that is constantly changing that I found more distracting than engaging. My favorite thing were the bar napkins that had word search puzzles on them- perfect if you are sitting by yourself. This area opens up to an outdoor pool, so I can only bet how lively and fun this area could be in the Summer months. A downside? The parking situation here is a bit of a maze. They block off the few parking spots in front of the hotel for the hotel van and expect you to park in the large parking garage shared with the Muvico theater. All fine and good except the parking garage is expensive (don't forget to get your ticket validated) and it's a bit of a walk if you end up in the wrong section. Follow the signs to "general parking" and park as far south as you can and you should be okay. If you go the wrong way- you will have to circle past the hotel and try the whole parking thing again. Not a bad spot if you just want to grab a drink while waiting for someone's plane to come in at O'Hare or to grab a drink after a movie at Muvico. And hopefully on the night you go- the average age will not hover in those awkward teenage years!
