Love Hy-Vee Plymouth!! Has everything you need! Great service Love the ambiance! Love the bakery!

Don't want to spend the entire holiday in the kitchen? The pre-made holiday meals are easy and really tasty!

Hy-Vee in Plymouth Minnesota is a nice addition to the west metro. This particular location started as a Rainbow Foods and then became a Cub Foods and when Cub decided to close this location Hy-Vee purchased it and renovated the store. This footprint is slightly smaller than some of the earlier Twin Cities locations, but still provides all the high quality items, excellent service and competitive prices. I tend to think these stores are Cub pricing at a Lund's Byerly's quality - best of both worlds. This store looks and feels like the metro Hy-Vee stores and I didn't feel like I was in a retrofitted property - I think that is a positive. One thing to remember at the Hy-Vee stores is the employees are owners in the business - that tends to make them more involved in your shopping experience by being helpful. If you are having difficulty locating something in the store, ask someone and they will take you to the item you are seeking. Once you get acclimated to helpful employees you'll notice places that aren't doing that level of service. Really, ask any employee to help you and they will. Want to know what is the healthiest choices for your nutritional needs? There are dieticians there to assist you! Need a flu or shingles shot? The pharmacy can make that happen. Need some tips on how to make something for dinner, ask away! So nice to be able to have reliable folks that want you to be successful. Check out this Hy-Vee and then try some of the other stores too!

Avocado is hard to the touch so in my mind it wasn't ready yuck

There are days when I believe the Produce Buyer at Hy Vee (probably at corporate and not in this store) buys all of the rejected produce the other chainspass over. This avocado was hard to the touch but I really wanted to put one in my salad and this is what I found. No I didn't take a special trip to return it to replace it, I was afraid I would just get more of the same. Just a buyer beware.

Self checkout is almost an expectation and the bagging scale can be a hassle. Excessive amount of reserved, pickup and handicap parking.

I had to indulge in two of the jumbo chocolate chip cookies, one with walnuts and one without. There is a huge frozen food section with a variety of dishes. Now, I do not eat frozen foods but they do have a gluten free area with very little preservatives....for those who are gluten free. I did; however, purchase the chicken meatballs with garlic and the Italian style chicken meatballs...they weren't frozen just in the refrigerated section. The produce looked extremely fresh and delicious as did their meat section with a host of stuffed meats. There was stuffed pork chops, stuffed salmon, stuffed chicken and shucks, stuffed potatoes lol. The olive station has a variety of olives....from all over the world (as the sign says). I would definitely recommend this store if you're looking for healthier options. They do have great sales, only if you have a membership and honestly the sales are pretty darn good. I could've paid $2.99 for the chicken meatballs instead of $4.99. Checkout at the self-serve cash register was easy and there's an attendant available to help or catch shoplifters lol. Just kidding...she was very nice and helpful. I'll be revisiting again to take a couple of those cookies home lol.

Excellent farmers market with tons of organic products at a relatively affordable price…read more Well I mean, with the all of the markdowns it's affordable lol. I was able to catch a huge sale on some hen eggs. I've never eaten a hen egg ever and I'm stoked to see what it tastes like. They are normally $5.99 a dozen but it was BOGO so you know I had to jump on that. Then they had organic eggs for $2.99 a dozen. Now I'm staying at a hotel with a kitchen and just bought 4 dozen of eggs. Guess I'll be making every kind of egg meal I can think of. I most certainly will return here because I love the selections and amount of products they offer aside from groceries. There's a large vitamin section with protein powders and shakes. They have a fresh bakery and deli section too. Very nice place!

I really liked it been in there for the most part!! Sadly, when I got to the check out part, there were two young guys who said hello which it was great, but right after that there was full silence and no smiling and the guy who did the transaction had a face like the ones that they give when they feel annoyed or when they don't like their job. This made me feel unwanted.. just truly unwanted. I'm Latino and probably this is not the issue but, I really felt uncomfortable at my check out. I will be giving it a try a couple more times to see if I still getting the same vibe or maybe I came by at the wrong time. Otherwise I liked the store. You all have a wonderful day.

I don't shop for packaged foods here often as they are quite pricey, but I do spend more money on produce and meats when they are high quality. Nice assortment of produce and other items as well. Pleasant atmosphere and nice shopping experience. The deli is nice as well. Wish there were more locations because this one is the closest to me, but still quite far in distance. Would love more variety in the deli/prepared foods department for gluten free, dairy free, soy free eaters. But I do appreciate that you offer healthier oils in your food! No canola- thumbs up! We need more Lakewinds in more locations across MN!

I purchased alkaline water for my ulcer and gluten free pitas for my arthitis 6.99. The alkaline water was 99 cents. The lentils should have 2.27. I noticed the price seemed high so I looked and saw she had charged me for Turkish figs. She asked me if I qualified for a senior discount. I did. 5% off should have been 9.74 total. But she charged me about 15 and then I noticed she falsely charged for a more expensive product. So not having the brain cells she had to ask her coworker who was supposedly smarter. NOT. He hands me 7 something in change and expects me to just quietly go away and I confront him on it and he claims he gave me a discount because he felt bad about her mistake. He claims she gave me back the change already. How could she give back change when she didn't even know the total. Then you want us to "round up' for foodshelves. Well if you don't charge us more than you need to we won't need food shelves.
