I went to this place because it was one of the only body shops in Brainerd to offer a free loaner car. That was where the good experience stopped and the nightmare began. I had hit a deer and my hood, quarter panel, radiator, etc needed to be replaced. To this day, it is the WORST paint-job I have ever seen in my life. The paint on the hood is chipping horribly. You can tell they only did one coat of paint on the hood and barely any clearcoat. It's not like I tailgate trucks hauling gravel either. What would be a normal pebble bouncing off most people's cars is now a chip on mine. They also took nearly 2 weeks to fix my car and then wanted to charge me for the rental car AFTER they said it was a free rental. They are a conniving and shady business. I took my boat console to these people to be repaired. It had fine hairline cracks all over it. A boat dealer suggested I take it to Highway 18 collision and get it sprayed with rhino liner as a permanent fix (it had cracked multiple times before). They did a wonderful job and it looks like it will hold up! This seems to be a common problem here with the cold winters and they have performed this repair before. They treated me with great courtesy, almost like I was a member of the family. I recommend them highly. read more

My daughter got into an accident after hours and him and his wife met with us at the shop and went over the details on getting her car taken care of and offered her a loaner car since she doesn't have rental on our policy. Once my vehicle needed heavy repairs from an automobile collision and they did an amazing job. Years later (October 2018) they made repairs from a collision with a deer and the result was also very good, as usual. I've been to a few other body shops around the Brainerd area over the years for various things and I stumbled across Hwy 18 Collision when I was looking to get a spray in bedliner for my truck. they had a great product that is durable compared to others that are out on the market today, it was less expensive than other shops around town, About a month after I got it done I had a gouge in the lining so I called them and they said to bring it in as soon as I could and they repaired it at no cost to me. I decided to start using synthetic oil in my vehicles and found out they use Schaeffer's Oil which is a pretty good brand, I've tried the quick lube places for conventional oil but decided to spend a couple dollars more on a full synthetic oil change and get a lot more miles per oil change. Financially it's less expensive to go synthetic since I spend less than twice the amount for the oil but I get three times the miles in between changes. the service I get from Hwy 18 Collision is one of the BIG reasons I continue to go back there time after time. read more

Our accident occured on a Sunday, and we ancipitated waiting until Monday to begin the process of fixing our boat. To our surprise, Mike, the owner of Highway 18 Collision Center picked up the phone on a Sunday, and delayed his own personal plans while we drove our boat to his facility.
