My wife and I recently did our fall cabin trip to Walker Minnesota, and on the way back near Garrison Minnesota, the bearings went out on my boat trailer tire, stranding us on the side of a very busy two lane highway. We called autosmith and got driver Tyler, who came down and loaded our boat and trailer onto his truck and took it a mile up the road to a gas station to drop it until we worked out a way to get it back to the Minneapolis twin cities area. Once we set up a new account with AAA, we set up a tow from Garrison Minnesota down to the twin cities to get my boat to my shop to redo the bearings and put new tires on. We were fortunate enough to get driver Tyler again, to bring the boat down to the twin cities I want everybody at autosmith, and anyone who reads this, to know, that driver Tyler for this company is an exceptional employee, who exhibited not only professionalism, but compassion for the situation we were in, was personable, and handled both tows with incredible expertise and professionalism, and took a huge load off our minds for everything we were dealing with on our way back from the cabin. I own a modified 1955 Chevy Belair with a new Blue Print engine and Fast fuel injection. A little technical for most and too much electrical for many. To this date they have put in a new ceramic racing clutch, worked on rear end, front shocks. I have had a nagging problem with my fuel injection marrying properly with the engine which would not allow the idle RPM's to run consistently and would continue to kill. They dug deeply the the problem, including consulting with Fast and stayed with the problem until it was solved. We left the car at our church where he was attending book club; and, I picked him up in the truck. The next morning we went back to the car and called Pro-Tow. He said he could do the tow within the hour. We drove over to their location which was only a couple of miles away and gave him the keys. We noticed at that time that they sell, repair and install tires so we asked them to get us two new tires like the ones on the back and have them installed. He said he could have it ready the following day. He called the next day to say that he had secured the same exact excellent tires that we had on the back. Later as he was installing them he determined that my front brakes were bad. We told him to replace them, as well, which he did the same day. I remembered that my car dealership had recommended replacing the front brakes at my next check up which didn't happen because their service department was closed due to a fire. Later that afternoon we went to pick up the car at Pro-Tow. He had kept the undamaged tire for us in case we had another future need for it and placed it in the back of my car. Since my car did not come with a spare it could prove useful at some point. He showed us the pads and rotors that had been replaced. They were totally worn out and had actually broken as they were removed. We feel like our tire accident probably prevented a future accident due to bad brakes. Then man we spoke with then and each time on the phone was the owner and super nice. He impressed me as someone who truly cares about customer service. He gave us an extra receipt for the tow and told us to see if our insurance company would cover it, something that had not occurred to me. He also asked me to come back for a free torque check on the new tires at a little over a hundred miles. He also gave us a cool pizza cutter. I'm very pleased to leave a ringing endorsement for service work actually done, not a conversation over the phone. My car drives like it's new again now! We'll definitely use their services again if the need arises.
