I had a very good experience with Perfect Pawn, and I think my experience was better than some of…read morethe people who left bad reviews here because I read the contract and thus I understood the terms. If you do this, you'll be fine. For instance, I took a 90 day loan and when the ticket said "Maturity Date November 29," I knew what that meant . That is to say, I had to pay the loan or get in touch with them to renew the loan, or they could keep my jewelry and resell it. Since I understood those clearly stated written terms, I was sure to stay on top of this and called them on the maturity date to let them know I did not yet have the money to pay my loan. When I pawned the jewelry, I dealt with an employee, but this time I asked to talk to the owner, Brian. I explained that I was deeply ashamed at having to pawn things for loans, but that I had recently contracted a devastating illness and was on disability (which, let me tell you, means one is on a very limited income). He was very empathetic and said that of course he would not sell my jewelry and, moreover, he had no problem renewing the loan for another 90 days until I got on my feet. After our phone conversation, I went to Perfect Pawn to renew my ticket and met Brian in person, shook hands, and made a nice connection with him because, well, he is a nice guy. He wishes his customers no ill will and understands that people only pawn possessions because they've fallen on hard times (ie, in my case I became disabled). My impression is that he wants to be decent to his customers, while at the same time he is in the business of giving loans for interest. You must pay the interest and he is honest about stating those terms. If you abide by the terms, he will treat you right. In short, I found him to be fair and trustworthy -- which are 2 words we do not ordinarily associate with pawn shops, but in this case I do. Perfect Pawn is a fair and trustworthy business.

They got TVs, kitchen things, stacks of tools, boxes, music players, computer systems & monitors... tons of things! I knew this had to be the place to find an Hi8 video camera cord, so I ask the attendant chillin at a rickety laptop watching a foreign film and asked if he could help me find out if there's a matching power cord. Rather than point out where to look or ask to see my camera he says he doesn't sell them & that I would have to go on Ebay. Grouched at his unhelpful response, I left him to search his store on my own to find bins of power electrical plug in cords which were in proximity to his right. I take out my camera to test cords into its socket. The attendant asks to look at it, hesitantly I show him & strikes up a conversation about how he had financed $1,000 for one of these in the early 2000s. With that, it opened his affinity to help & said maybe the Chinese guy on the right would help. I looked to the right seeing no one but a wall. The attendant says go around. I take my things & find a Chinese guy behind the wall with more electrical things and what did I immediately see... A camera power cord that matched at hand's reach -_- It goes to show: Persistence is key! I was hoping I would get this for a bargain being that no one goes to look for these things anymore, but the dang cord cost $25. Bargain if you can though! This is the store to do so!
