Then the are the 'special extras'. The best kind of lucky dip is available for the taking - Quirky, different, unusual foods sit alongside some of the usual premium brands. Maybe they are sometimes classed a seconds, but hey hey, it all tastes the same whether it has the flashy packaging or not! But yesterday I got some for the first time in a long while and they were really not very nice - tasteless and dry. No go! But second - and this is the 5 star half - the rest of the foodhall. The cakes we had were really yummy! And the special breads and biscuits were very tasty. The deli counter in the middle of the dept is anenormous array of everything from pies, pastries, salads, meats and cheeses, to more unusual savouries and even prepared dishes ready to be portioned out however you want. There are of course, all the usual grocery items which sit alongside a wonderful selection of speciality and interesting foods, all very tempting! Juicy fruit, veggie veg both allow for the indulgance elsewhere and the choccies just finish it all off very nicely. Therefore on balance - 3 stars!

I rang them up, made an order & arranged a delivery time and that was it. First of all the fruit and veg were huge, much bigger and fresher than the supermarket. Everything was delivered on-time and they had even went down to the market that morning and picked up the specific type of mushrooms I had enquired about (which they didn't sell). It is the little things like that which really makes the difference, I can't recommend Marc highly enough. We use them regularly now, it saves me and my girlfriend 20 minutes a week (shopping) and also because we live fairly local, we get free delivery too.
