Numerous award winning butchers that offer prime cuts of meat, fantastic mince and healthy plump chickens and eggs! Wonderful bakery that makes the best breads and pastry I have tried. Wonderful vegetables and fruit stands where you get can a serious deal on great vegetables. Cheapest and most authentic pick and mix selection I have ever seen Fish monger, show repair, tea shop, cafes, clothing and boot sale, cd shops, home repair, clothing alterations ... Even a room with a scale in it! Grainger Market is magical. A must see, I consider the market a tourist attraction because of how traditional it is. The people in the booths all seem very authentic and very helpful.

This Morissons is located in a easy to reach place and has plenty of parking and bus stops nearby. It has a Cafe, counters such as the bakery and fishmongers as well as all the usual supermarket stuff. Despite the store size, there's a kitchen section and toiletries bit too so you can definitely get all you need here. The fresh fruit and veg are all displayed market style and most packaging have the price on them so no confusions can be made! The aisles are easy to navigate but it is very crowded in there and it is not helped by the narrow aisles. The aisles are quite short so you don't have to walk far to get to a different aisle if you are like me and always forget something. Most importantly, they have a salad bar! These are my favourites because deli potato salads are the best and Morissons have a really nice one. Like the rest of the store, the tills are short and small, as are the cashiers. There's lots of staff on the floor who seem happy to help, it's nice that they are dressing as they go because it really helps with making the shelves look tidy. There's a sale section which may be worth a rummage through. The trolleys are set kind of far away from the shop front but it helps get those extra steps in!

The sausages and burgers they make their are great and the meat comes from the farm, they also make a great rang of pies and pastys and cakes you can buy via the slice or the whole cake. The coleslaw from the butchers is great and goes really well with the ham cooked on the bone that they do. They do a range of puddings in the fridge and lovely frozen fruit great for pies in the freezer. There buns are fab, the best things are the corned beef slices the country barn pastys and the mars bar slices the lemon drizzle cake is also worth a try The coffee shop is great with plenty of seats there is another level off the level where you get served the food is not too expensive and if you get corned beef slices they come with crisps and salads and sometimes a little chutney The hot chocolate from here is fab It is not far from here to druridge bay and a nice little walk to the ruined chapel
