Thank GOODNESS for hurst tire service! I got new tires for my car and had to get them put on but couldn't find a shop that could do it next day or for cheap. Went to raber tires in ephrata, they wanted way to much for it and they wouldn't align my car because I bought the tires myself. Went to mr tire in ephrata, they wanted 39.99 a tire for mount and balance, then ontop of that 199 for the alignment. Went through hurst, got me in next day, got me all set up with my alignment, got my tires on, got rid of my old tires and it only ran me 158 dollars. I'm not gonna complain. My car feels so much better while driving and I don't sound like a tractor trailer going down the road ! I appreciate y'all! Thank you so much!! I'll be back with more services! read more

Free Rotations, but you are paying dearly for it! I have been a repeat customer for quite some time now because this location is convenient for me, given my medical limitations. I have been purchasing tires there for my vehicles because the pricing is competitive, and they offer free rotations. I recently went for my free rotation in mid-April. They checked me in about 3:00 and mentioned they had an apprentice in the shop. About 15 minutes later, the advisor came out to tell me they could not work on the vehicle because several lug nuts on the studs of 4 of the wheels were stripped and loose. They said I could take it somewhere else; they could not get me in until sometime the following week because the regular technician was out and would not be back until then. They never claimed responsibility for the damage to the studs or advised me that it was unsafe to take it out of the shop. They never offered to schedule the repair; they just wanted this to go away. I immediately took this to another service center, and even they had never seen damage like this, with so many nuts and studs on all the wheels, and I managed to return to the shop the following week to address this with the owner. They had my paperwork set aside but did not reach out to me, probably hoping I would not address the situation. The owner said he needed a couple of days to make some calls and would get back to me with a resolution regarding the repairs and the expense the other shop incurred to correct the apprentice's damage. Here we are, weeks later, with no follow-up and no callbacks. I will also make the community aware through The Epharta Review and Lancaster Online. You should note that other customers have made reviews stating that their lug nuts were too tight. If you read Hurst's mission statement, it mentions they support local small businesses, but what about taking care of our community and keeping us safe with responsible and honest repairs? read more

Whether you need new tires or fixing a nail in tire or flat, I wouldn't go anywhere else! The guys there are standup people and quick to address concerns. we have gone here for years for tires and repairs and they have always been fair and efficient. They are not looking to get you in new tires when your tires are good! Had a bad experience with Mavis trying to get my son to but 4 new tires because of a small nail in a tread of one tire. Hurst fixed it without any issues! My most recent experience was another nail in my tire which I showed up at 4:30p, they immediately took my car back and fixed it within 10 min and I was out the door. They even tried to apologize it took long??? This was so fast, inexpensive and I was so pleased it was able to be fixed! Thanks again to Hurst tire staff for their great service! read more

When you are given an estimate of $800. for a repair and then go to pick the car up and are given a bill for $1200 should that be fair business practice? We had an estimate from another shop for $1200 and so chose Hurst bc we were happy with our first time there for an inspection. A friend had recommended them and we then recommended them to another friend. I guess the search is still on for an honest car repair shop. They also gave us a better quote for 4 new tires for my husband's car. This fiasco cost them that sale. Sorry to write a bad review, but it is honest, and fair, which is what we are looking for in an auto repair shop. read more

Classic bait and switch artists!!!!!!!!!! I called yesterday and got a quote for 4 Michelin run flat tires for my Corvette. Went by today and was told those tires were no longer available. But, they could get another set of Michelins...at a higher price. I cut my losses and went to another Michelin dealer. read more

Unfortunately, I no longer can endorse Hurst Tire due to couple weeks ago now, having sent in our Mazda 3, that needed a lot of work, just short of 2,000 dollars later, (that I saved up with the hopes of getting everything on the list that I gave them done to it.. after I got the bill, I would have hoped that everything was done, however, when they call to tell us it's ready, and my wife goes to pay .. unlike most places I've been to, they didn't go over anything with her, they didn't explain why never called about not being able to perform certain services, instead next to the listed service was typed "DENIED" nor at the time of pick up, did they explain why said services couldn't be completed.. I had to call, to find out that information.. After I got the car home and drove it for a few days, to my surprise, I can't tell much of a difference on anything and now for some reason its doing things it's never done befire, I tried to talk to them about it a couple times, and basically they said they would be glad to look at it again if I am not satisfied, but my problem with that is, that doesn't go off of my original almost $2,000.. I'm all for paying money that's rightfully owed, I just have hard time believing I rightfully owed that much considering, the vehicle drive the same way it did before, has the same issues it did before, now it's stalling out all of a sudden, something isn't right.. and I was shocked because I never had such problems with vehicles coming back from Hurst back in the day. I decided to give them another chance since prior to my Mazda going in I had already scheduled my Kia Sportage, well just a little over a week ago, My wife went in and paid earlier in the day and then we we went to pick it up later which happened to be after closing, there I am at Hurst tire.. the shop that had fixed this second vehicle.. and I had to jump start that vehicle in order to take it home because they left the lights on and killed the battery.. I understand accidents happen, we are all human, but this was series of unfortunate events, too many things happening back to back and because of this I will never take another vehicle to Hurst Tire again nor can I endorse them the way that I used to. read more

PLEASE BEWARE...RIPOFF MECHANIC SHOP !! They deserve NO STARS, but it won't let me pick that...here is our story... We took our 2003 Subaru Outback Wagon to Hurst's Tire Service In East Earl for inspection in December 2016. It passed the emissions, but we were called and told that our car needed $800+ of work to pass inspection and nearly $1500 worth of work to have our car road worthy. Our car was said to need new control arms both sides in the rear of the car (the $800+ worth of work). When we had went in to pay the bill for the failed inspection and passed emission and pick up the car at Hurst's we were given an itemized estimate of what was needed done by the owner of the shop. He went over both estimates with us. While talking to him, it was quitting time at the shop and we noticed that all the mechanics were very young men, probably right out of school. Maybe before trying to steal about $1000 from someone, there should be someone experienced looking over expensive diagnosis'. Luckily for us, we decided to take our car to another garage, one that we typically use but that we were initially unable to get it to due to our schedule at the time. The first time we took our car to the other garage to have them evaluate the issue it was already January and my car was out of inspection... they looked it over and saw nothing wrong, even after telling them what we were told at Hursts and they didn't see anything wrong with our car. They were going to put on an inspection sticker after looking over the car that first visit but we didn't have our new registration with us, so they couldn't do it. We went back the next Saturday morning, had a totally different person look over the car for inspection and they saw nothing wrong. These two guys were experienced mechanics who have been at the shop for a while. Needless to say we were very angry about almost being taken by Hurst's for just shy of $1000 for work our car did NOT need! BE WARNED ABOUT HURST'S, GET A SECOND OPINION!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Very thankful for this company! Honest, trustworthy, helpful, and knowledgeable. I brought my husband's truck to the shop because we thought the tires needed to be balanced and needed a new alignment and possibly some other issues. As soon as I pulled up, the gentleman came right up to my vehicle and asked why I was there and when I explained what I thought we needed done on the truck he proceeded to ask me a few questions so that he could better understand what the issue might be. He knew right away that we probably might not need all of that work done. He was happy to take a look and let me know his assessment, before doing any work. It turns out it was just a broken sensor that needed to be replaced on one of the tires. He saved us a lot of money from doing unnecessary work. He explained everything clearly to me. Recently I brought my vehicle there because I was having an issue with the tire pressure. They took my vehicle in right away and it was only low tire pressure. He filled up my tires to the correct pressure and explain to me all about how the cold weather can lower the tire pressure. They didn't charge me anything and weren't looking to sell me anything. Fast and friendly! Called to scheduled an appointment for a PA state inspection; staff was very pleasant and accommodating. They told me it would take an hour and that I could wait in the office. My appointment was at 5pm, they were done with my car at 5:20; given my car did not need anything additional. I will definitely be back and I would recommend this garage.
