While camping in the area and with a forecast for some gorgeous weather everyone wants their ride to look it's best. I try and keep up with my vehicle washes so they never get the point that I need a major detail to get them back to looking good - I drag my 2004 Jeep behind my MotorCoach so this can contribute to it not always looking it's best. After getting settled at the campground I started looking for a good quality carwash and that's how I ended up here. There are some "every four weeks" unlimited wash programs in place here but I just wanted a reasonable wash to get the dust and morning dew streak off and since I don't live near by I assume I would have to pay up a little for a single premium wash. So the theme here is "Hurricane" (catchy) so they list the basic wash a Cat 3 for $12, the Cat 4 is a few extras over the basic and a single pass is $18 - then there are the Cat 5 for $22 and the Cat 5+ for $26 for a single pass, both of these reference "ceramic"coatings okay I think that's like buying a car detail in a can I don't think that's for me so I went with the Cat 4. The experience started out great the attendance prep'd my Jeep for the storm with a little foam and brushing for the bugs including the front grill, wind shield, side mirrors and back glass then guiding me onto the conveyor belt. The Cat 4 Storm was less intense than I expected and didn't last very long, it's seemed more like an abbreviated storm meaning the wash bay isn't very long and there wasn't a lot going on inside the eye wall. Let's fast forward to the end results - thankfully my Jeep wasn't dirty because besides getting wet I didn't see much difference than when I entered the wash bay , it was definitely an express wash and on such a beautiful day I was the only customer during my visit here, maybe the magic happens with the ceramic coating that I opted out of - You may question this review after looking at the photos of my Jeep but it always looks clean but the devil is in the details so I think unfortunately I will be looking at other options in the next few days... read more

A few days ago I went to this carwash to vacuum out my car. When I went to leave, my battery wouldn't start. It kept saying Car Fob not available. A wonderful young lady (I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember her name...Kaylee, I think) came and tried for at least 15-20 minutes to get the car to start. Finally, we got a jumper cables which was exactly what I needed. Just a special thank u to her. She went way out of her way to help me. I take my car here for wash and have a monthly service subscription. The power vacuums lack suction power, at the end of wash they discontinued service of a drier (a person who wiped mirrors). Over all the wash services is below standard compared to other car washes in the area. Also, watch out their billing schemes... I have been repeatedly charged twice on my credit card for monthly payments. When you call their customer service you do not get a response. read more

Paid $26+ for a wash, jeep came out just as dirty as it went in. The whole car wash broke down 4 or 5 times while we were there, had to go back thru a second time since the 1st trip thru it malfunctioned and proceeded to "wash" my jeep DRY and beat all the dirt into paint since it didn't spray any water on it, hardly a hurricane... went back thru the 2nd time after speaking with the attendant, who was very nice, and it made no difference.. they need to get their equipment fixed, after being there for 40 minutes and still having a dirty vehicle, we definitely won't return... waste of time and money... read more

Was in a kind of hurry today. Stopped at Hurricane instead of my usual car wash because it was convenient. Won't be doing that for a while. Paid for a number 4 wash and wax and was disappointed in the way it looked. Definitely not as "shiny/clean looking" as my usual car wash. The wash I selected was supposed to include tire shine. My tires looked no different than before they went into the wash. To top it off half the vacuum hoses near where I parked my car had no suction. read more

Went here to get rid of love bugs after a day trip to South Florida. My white front bumper looked almost black from love bug hits. The staff was very thorough but after the first pass there were some marks on the grill. Without asking, the manager actually asked is we would go back around for free pass so they can get it right. I went to Hurricane Car Wash today for full service. Clean windows for $15.00, left a $5.00 tip; when I pulled out and drove into the sun, eeek!, absolute horrible job, streaks, missed corners... I had to pull over on my way home to reclean windows myself, they didn't even clean the back window or the sunroof window, or the small butterfly windows, the windows were just as bad as when I went in. Went there Sat 3rd around 1pm. The drive through wash was fine. Went over to use the vacuums and they were barely pulling any air. Another customer was checking them all and yelled 'are any of these working?' I went over and told the manager and he said he would look into it. Better than Steamboat car wash on U.S. 1, that's not sayin' much. I had to rewash the wheel rims , the area around the windshield wipers, in and around the gas cap door and the cab roof (Pick up truck) when I got home. But... Yes it was worth the 12$. I would have rather paid 15$ or more for a " complete" car wash". Wow!! soap suds flying everywhere! If that were all it took ,the job would have been fantastic. I just took my truck here and I am super impressed with how well they cleaned my truck. I have really wide tires and had no issues with their car wash. All their employees were polite and were very hard workers. I only wish I had cash on me to tip them. read more

I was so excited to get a new car wash in the St Augustine area!! The outside is bright and new. The actual car wash itself is mediocre. We got the basic $12 wash and my car was still dirty when I got done. There is an area for pretreating but lots of bugs still on my windshield even after pretreating. The rims had to be completely rewashed. I'm hoping the washing improves and it's in a convenient locations. Free vacuums are great! read more

Pretty disappointed with my wash here today. I paid for the $20 wash and it's not looking any better than when I do the lower end wash at other car washes. I also had to wait around 20 minutes to get into the wash as cars with memberships just skipped the line. The rims were filthy, I had water spot left on my windows after the girl dried my car at the end, and there were no rags available for me to fix the issues in the vacuum area. The people working were also not very friendly. They looked angry and acted impatient when I didn't hear them yell for me to move up. Not sure I'll be back to this car wash. read more

Asked to use vacuum first to clear out leaves under hood, but the child working said no they had a process. Ended up with a bunch of wet leaves - Came out of car wash no one there to adjust mirrors back or dry windows. Very hit or miss. Might want to try some adult supervision. Usually fast and efficient car wash! The owner (or manager) is very friendly and very attentive. Most of the staff are pretty friendly...but they have this one unspoken deal with them...they don't advertise for you to clear your windshield (via wipers) before entering the actual car wash UNTIL right after they pre-clean it. And the only way you're going to know, is if you have exceptional hearing and can hear a faint "WIPERS" coming from someone outside of your vehicle. They really need to do a better job of this. Other than that, great service, very clean vacuum/self-cleaning area, and easily navigable. read more

Been using as a member since August 2021. Very happy with the service and value. Rarely is there not ample cleaning supplies including towels in the vacuum/detail area. Employees are normally very helpful and honestly smiling. Always? No but whoever is LOL. Happy to be a member too. The express line alone is a HUGE value. read more

Nice car wash overall. Would like to see the employees pay more attention when cleaning the wheels, there always dirty when I leave. $20 bucks for a car wash should get the wheels clean. A year or so ago there were plenty of cart's of rags and cleaning products not so much anymore have to wait for other customers to finish using the cleaning products to get them for yourself. read more

Love this car wash, the car wash itself does a good job at cleaning the car. 2 members pre wash your car to get the stubborn bugs off. Then a member wipes down windows of your car after the wash. Finally there and vacuums, microfiber towels, a cleaning solution, and air compressor to detail you car with. read more

Went to this wash after taking my Ford Explorer to the beach every day for a week with a dog and 2 kids. Car was a mess. Paid 12 for the basic wash, + 15 for the personal service. Had to pay another 7 for 3rd row. A little expensive for a wash but they did get every spec of sand out and our 17 hour drive back to Chicago the following morning was nice and comfortable. read more

Had my truck fully serviced, they did a fantastic job ! But while my truck was being serviced I heard a higher up that went by the name Sabrina. She was getting loud and talking in a very rude manner to her employees, I'm not sure who she was belittling but it was wrong.. if she needs to correct an employee she needs to do it in private. I'm assuming there is an office, she should learn how to use it. Definitely can't keep employees with those unruly manners. read more

I am extremely displeased with my experience at Datil Wash.  This was my second attempt to get full service, only to be denied.  The first time was a Thursday and I waited in line for about 10 minutes only to be told that they were not offering full service that day.  I advised that they should make that known on their signage.  I was told that they offer full service on Friday. Today (Friday), I returned and saw that there were people servicing cars in the full service area.  I waited no less than 20 minutes before approaching the payment area.  I was approached by a young girl and I told her what I wanted.  I was then told that they are only servicing 3 cars today because they are short staffed.  Again, I asked why they did not put some signage up to allow people to turn away before waiting in the long line.  The gal just shrugged and didn't respond.  I then told her to open the gate so that I could leave.  I'm sure they expect people to at least get a regular wash after waiting  in such a long line, and this is probably why they do not put up any signage.  However, I came for full service, which appeared to be available, and was turned away.  They do not and will not get my business.  Unfortunately, they are the only full service option in town (at the moment).  There are a few that will be cropping up soon and I will take my business there when they do.  Until then, I will drive to Palm Coast for full service at a cheaper price. UPDATE: After reading the owner's response, my review is further validated. I did not curse out the girl. I did express my frustration and used a curse word to describe the length of time I wasted in line. It is a shame the owner did not actually attempt to remedy the situation. read more
