I paid $10 to get Midnight a basic wash since my grandson vacuum the car last weekend. LUV car wash is clean and conveniently located on US1. I decided to vacuum the driver floor mat since it's been a busy travel week. The vacuum has very little suction to it. I was at stall #18. I just gave up. Way too much to fight with. It wasn't picking up a thing. I won't be back for the vacuuming but I will be back for the car wash. read more

The attendant had trouble with taking our money and had to reset the system. This didn't work after trying twice so he got another employee to help who finally got Our $ entered. They only sprayed down on side of the jeep We proceeded into the car wash and it stopped partway through. When we got out and looked over the jeep we noticed how many areas were still dirty. For the prices they charge they need to do another better job and upgrade the wash system. Do not recommend. read more

Buyer beware! Their membership portal is VERY clunky and despite having cancelled BEFORE the deadline, I was charged. Communications back and forth were basically met with, 'sorry, you're stuck with another month'. Horrible customer service. As to the car wash, it's no wonder that they have a membership as it will take you a few visits in order to get your car clean. I recently started going back LUV car wash in Saint Augustine. I'm very picky about my cars and I disagree with other reviews that say this is the worst car wash in St. Augustine. I don't think that's fair. Is it a state of the art facility... no. But I find the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The car wash does a very decent job & all of the vacuums and air hoses that I've used work and there are plenty of drying towels. I don't have any complaints at all about this facility and feel that it offers an unbeatable value! Are there better car washes yes but the one on the island that I bring other cars to is $16 a wash as opposed to $10 a wash. I'm very happy and will continue using this car wash. read more

Worst car wash experience of my life. They damaged my car, plain and simple. Then they strung me along, pretending they were going to "take care of it" -- total BS. After weeks of back and forth, they refused to pay a single dime for the $1,200 in damages their faulty equipment caused. This place is a scam. They play nice at first, but the second you're out the door, you're on your own. By all accounts, Luv should be a decent car wash. However, their local Palm Coast management is lackluster--or perhaps just poorly trained. We visited some time ago and purchased the upgraded service with the added wheel cleaning. They ran the car through, but the wheels still needed attention. On the second run, there was still visible gunk left on the rims. When I asked to speak with someone, the manager came over. What followed was a surprisingly curt and condescending exchange. He told me that, in his opinion, whatever was on our wheels "just can't be cleaned off." I asked if he truly wanted to leave it at that. For context, I've worked in the car business, so his assumption was laughable coming from a car wash manager. It would've taken just two extra minutes to assess the issue properly--but he chose a different path. His exact response? "It's no problem. I have 3,000 customers, so it's fine if we lose a few." He also implied that we might have received better service if we were members. I won't even address that last part--there's too much to unpack. But regarding the interaction as a whole: as a business person, I was shocked. As a customer, I was appalled. And as a human being--if this is how he operates--I suspect he's dealing with bigger problems than just customer retention. I raised the issue with corporate, as this is our local car wash and I wanted to give them a chance to make it right. They attempted to have the manager reach out, but it quickly became clear that he believes customer satisfaction is the customer's responsibility, rather than simply scheduling a call. I tried to find him, and eventually gave up--much like I did with Luv. Since then, I've been happy to discover that the competition is excellent. They wash the car, rewash it if needed, don't hide behind email--and get this--I don't need a subscription to be treated like a valued customer. As a car enthusiast, I've shared this story recently and found that I'm not alone. Several others have had similar experiences. I also know of more than a few former customers Luv won't need to worry about anymore. When you're asking people to spend $500 a year on a membership--and like me, they own multiple vehicles--you become a real line item in the household budget. And with that comes an expectation to be treated accordingly. In the end, the manager got exactly what he wanted: a few less customers. And us...well I am paying less per wash than Luv wanted, and--surprise--my previously "unclean-able" wheels look great. Thanks, Luv, for helping me find a better car wash. read more

I joined the car was membership and was pleased for the most part until the brushes ripped off the driver side mirror from my 5 week old Tundra. They pointed out after I complained that mirrors are NOT covered for claims. I always thought that OEM parts were not exempted from claims on most car washes. I cancelled my membership OBVIOUSLY and would not recommend nice vehicles be exposed to this machinery! read more

The car wash damaged my side view mirrors bent them back. The operator did not tell me to close my mirrors for safety. Then the General Manager Antonio was not informative or helpful as he just asked me for my information, but never said what he was doing with it. I had to ask him what the process was and what I could expect and he gave me virtually no information. I absolutely would not do business or bring my car here ever again. read more

It's an ok car wash. Difficult setup for entrance and exit as there is not much room with the way the flow is set up and the positioning of the business on the corner. The steamboat themed building was obviously called something else in the past. Self serve free vacuums with every wash which I didn't take advantage of. I only came thru as Coggin Honda of St. Augustine provides a free quick wash with any service. The two times I've been here it's been packed so they may have the market cornered in the city. read more

Boy last Friday 12-19-24 having the top pkg of 44.17 month I pull through and soaped up good right, then no side brushes cam on until very last section of truck bed! Gets better next phase rinse ha, swear there was 1 stream out of 1 hose rinsed top and half of the hood!! Pull out to vacuum but 1st dry what wet areas that wet as always no matter what pkg and soap was still on over 50% of sides!! My tailgate was as dry as it could be and of course dirty!! Yeah vacuum worked and finally get to rims and no tire dressing at all which for 44.17 should have been a one arm man applying it as this always broke down use to be good car wash is always have broken down equipment and both people next to me said the same and would not be customers any longer too many other choices in town now!!! I returned to LUV (the steamboat on Us1 Hwy So) on 11/9/24, used to be a member but discontinued last yr. This time I had to deal with a cavalier attitude of the man collecting the money and the strange grin of the woman who couldn't even guide me into the wash, I chose the mid price thinking they will do a good wash, prep it, foam soup and diamond finish, to my horror I was rushed into a fast wash with not enough water, no foam and no finish, forget about the wheels, dirt still dripping in wind shield, the car didn't look any better than when I brought it in, I feel these people are in their last leg and are taking advantage of the public. read more

While we are n St. Augustine, FL I went to get Jeep washed. The line to get her washed was crazy long so I thought this was going to be great! Well it wasn't! We had to call he manager over because the wash was crappy. We went through a second time and the team at the wash did a lot more elbow grease into the pre wash and it made a big difference. The lesson was; do it right the first time you don't have to worry about the re-do! I'll go back and make sure to tell them to do a little scrubbing first. read more

Is it a car wash - yes. But not a good one. Not even moderately good. For $25 my car came out still dirty. The wheels looked like they weren't even touched. The car still had bug splats everywhere. The vacuums were ok but that's not worth $25. For all the time I spent with the supplied microfiber cloths and spray, I could have done this at home in half the time. Next time I will save my money and do it at home. read more

This car wash is not what it used to be. The price is ridiculous for your car not to be clean or your tires shiny like it used to be. The attendants who work there don't clean the front and back anymore before you go through. Heck, they barely guide you to the correct position. Won't be back until it's at 100%. read more

I often came here when it was the Showboat car wash, thought I would try Sporty's out. I was very disappointed. In a bit of a hurry got the basic $5 carwash with the complimentary vacuum service. They used to offer a detailing service, I was a bit confused when I drove up to the self service vacuum station. The difficult part is the vacuum hose only reaches to one side of your car. After I finished the driver (left) side I asked an employee to turn on the vacuum closest to the passenger (right) side of the car. After explaining this twice to the young man checked to see if the nozzle was clogged then walked away. I pulled the left nozzle over the top of my car and used it on the right side. Thankfully the same gentle man who helped me earlier came over and said he was confused with what I said. I explained again how it was difficult to use the left vacuum for the right side and how I didn't want to scratch the roof of my car. He understood what I was asking and turned on the air for the right nozzle. This was an exception but Sporty's needs to improve their customer service. Upon departure I noticed how the entrance and exits were the same. This caused unnecessary congestion and almost a car accident for me. Another route out would be to Aviles Dr. but that exit was blocked off. I love to support local businesses but I will not be returning. read more

Was in dire need of a car wash so I came here for the first time. I got an Admiral wash for $20. Included tire wash, hot wax, etc. The whole process was very organised and well laid out. It was easy and quick. I was in a decent sized line but was all done in about 15 minutes. Free vacuums are a nice addition as well. After the wash I checked my car over to see how it looked. It was much better than before, no longer covered in pollen. But there were a few areas that looked as if they hadn't been dried properly. My grill wasn't completely clean. From a distance it looks good and shiny but up close these were just some of the problems I noticed. read more

Usually I get my car washed there. Today it had some bugs on the front and on the windshield. The woman at the pay station promised that they'll spray it. They did spray a little but not nearly enough and they didn't use brushes - as they did some weeks ago. And sure, the bugs were still there. The only redeeming quality of this place is the free vacuums. The car wash itself does not work well, they don't pre treat the cars for bugs and the dryer does not dry the car. Don't plan on the wash removing any bugs from the front of your car or the windshield. If there was a decent car wash in St. Augustine this place would be in trouble. read more

I originally wrote a review on this location about 2 years ago. At the time - it was awesome! Affordable and clean.. great wash and free vacuum. Update to Nov 2019... this location has been sold and the new owners are doing their best to ruin it. Previously, bug prep (Florida - love bugs - hello!!) was free- now only $4 more. Tire scrubbers? Gone. Great wash and dry? Gone. I paid the $5 for the basic car wash +$4 bug prep today and what I got was a mess!! The bugs are still there - the windshield is full of goop. The blow dry? Meh - not so much as all it did was blow trash back on the car. The vacuums are being upgraded at the expense of the washing arms/cycles in the wash itself. The vacuum cleaners look new - with more stalls - but the wash cycle is missing some of the arms/accessories previously offered. By the way, the only way to get "free" bug prep is to pay for the $20 Admiral's wash. Yup - $20 for a car wash. read more

I tried Sporty's after it reopened with the new owners and I absolutely love the car wash I was doing my own car every week at the do you yourself car wash but I am so happy with Sporty's I bought a monthly pass and I can take my car through there anytime I want and I bought the lesser of packages offered which is $21 a month and I am totally sold.
