Do NOT buy a car here. I bought a 1 year old car, and the deal itself was okay, but when I went to pick it up, the gas tank was not filled, and they hadn't changed the oil. When I called to complain about this I was told I could bring it back for an oil change. I live out of state- not convenient for me to have to drive back there because they failed to do their job. Then it gets worse. The insurance wasn't taken care of- I had to make all the calls/arrangements that they were supposed to do. Then it gets worse again. A MONTH later they ask me for the account # for the car I traded in. They hadn't paid it off. So, I still own my old car and I'm late on a payment now, affecting my credit. And after leaving messages, I still haven't heard back. Bad experience. read more

I would definitely recommend Hurd. I went there looking for a used Chevy Cruze that was online and it ended up being sold before I made up my mind. I met with Michael who was extremely helpful and said a similar car had just come into the dealership and hadn't been priced yet. I wanted all the bells and whistles, but this car did not have that. He spoke to the Finance Manager who came over and looked in the GM website for another one. We were not able to find one I wanted but they all went above and beyond to help me. The worse place to go for service. Their charges are through the roof, and have you come back several time. They try to get every last penny they can out of you. They charge for inspection stickers don't put it on your vehicle and tell you to come back. When you go back they charge you again. I'll be calling the DMV to report this issue. read more

Sold me a 2 year old Verano with a terrible paint touch up job. But I bought the car at night and the car was dark blue so I was not aware. But they were for sure! Their detailing stinks - Hurd is too cheap to put an extra $50 buck into cleaning up the car for resale although their prices are not low. Had to use "Shout" fabric cleaner when I arrived home. Met with Mike in Service, and had fast, and efficient service. Engine light was on and engine made a cranking sound (due to bad oil filter I put on, engine was low on oil), and an ongoing issue with the engine bogging down at low RPMs on my 2012 Impala. Techs performed an oil change, and Fuel system maintenance. I didn't think the fuel system maintenance would fix the bogging down, but Mike was right, it did!! Glad I trusted him. GET TO HURD!!! I don't know why it took me so long to write this but better late than never I guess. A couple of months ago my fiance and I went to look for a new truck (SUV) for her since she hastily got a 2 wheel drive about a year ago and was worried about it's performance in the snow. We went in to look at the Chevy Traverse and we were shown everything that all 3 models offer as far as options and given the price range of each with our trade taken into account. Having driven 5 brand new cars off the lot I've been in a few showrooms before, but Michael Messina and the team in Chevy at Hurd were hands down the best I've ever dealt with in my life. We never felt pushed more just educated on what the trucks had to offer and at a certain point we felt as if we were the ones who were pushing to get the truck we wanted within our price point. Which we did end up doing. It was so funny that even when I started getting frustrated with my fiance after she mentioned wanting to look at the GMC Acadia, Mr. Messina never did, he instead just pulled one up for her to look at. In the end Mr. Richards came out and made us feel comfortable with our decision and kept us laughing with his great sense of humour. I'd also like to mention a woman who's name I hope I'm getting right in the finance department, Julia was very impressive and in full command of the task at hand. We had a great conversation about children and hers were beautiful. If I had to think of one word to describe our experience I'd have to say it was Comfortable. Your talk at the new buyer orientation and reality differs a little bit. Came in for an oil change - was told it would be 45 minutes. 1.5 hours later it was done. Was told at the new buyer meeting that all cars are washed after service, this didn't happen nor was it offered. It's not like it was busy there, I was in first thing in the morning. My rating is neutral for the service. I cold have changed the oil faster and more efficient at home. read more

Purchased a used vehicle. Decent price. Can't complain. Dealt with the sales manager over the phone. Pawned off on a sales associate on the day of pick up. Was told there was a cargo cover included. Not there when I checked the vehicle. Was told the cargo tray was the cargo cover. Really? Said they could sell the vehicle to someone else 10 times over if I didn't want it. What the hell? I paid cash. Of course the finance guy tries to sell you over-priced garbage. On empty. I had to ask the sales associate to fuel it up. Would be nice if I didn't have to stop at a gas station on the way home. Then only given 1/2 tank. The detailing job was sub-par at best. I'd advise taking a pass at purchasing from Hurd. read more

This place gets one star for the one good employee they have and her name is Marissa. Do not buy a car here. I bought a car paid cash for my son on Saturday 3/31/18 and didn't get all my paperwork until Monday 4/9/18 these people are ridiculous when it comes to help my sales lady Jennifer had no clue about anything and manager Ed finally explained to me what was going on but then lied to me. After speaking to Ed on Wednesday he said come in on Thursday and he would have everything all set for me. That was a lie and he wasn't even there to tell me to my face. My son drove and hour away to pick up his paperwork from Ed and everyone just left him standing there not helping him even my sales lady Jennifer walked by him and didn't try to help. I called to find out what was going on and all secretary Barbara was trying to do was get me off the phone she finally connected me to Marissa who got everything in order and mailed my paperwork out so I didn't have to drive back to that place ever again. I finally got my paperwork in on Monday 4/9/18 I can finally register my sons car that he paid cash for. Had to bring in my HHR to replace a computer component that got fried while jumping a dead battery. While Hurd resolved that issue, they told me that my brakes were completely worn down and I needed to replace the suspension. This was confusing, as I had replaced the front brake pads but six months earlier. I declined for the additional (very expensive) repairs and got a second opinion. When I took the car somewhere else, the mechanic kindly showed me my absolutely fine, nearly brand-new font brakes and told me Hurd had been lying through their teeth. read more

I purchased a 2013 GMC Sierra 3 weeks ago. When I picked up the truck the battery was dead. The sales rep stated the vehicle had been sitting for a while and just needed a jump. The sales rep said if there is a problem with the battery it would be replaced. I've had to jump the truck multiple times since the purchase so I decided to bring it in. I explained what happened and the to service and expected a quick battery change. Nope I was wrong. I was told the battery wasn't covered and I would have to pay. I said let me talk to the sales rep. The sales manager agreed that the battery needs to be replaced. When I got back to service my truck was taken out of the bay and another vehicle was brought in. I've been here for 2 hours with 2 kids for what was supposed to be a quick battery change. I'm giving a 2 star only because Brandon was very helpful and so was my service agent. Two years ago I purchased a used 2005 Nissan Maxima SE. Only 65K miles on it.. Within a week of driving it the battery died on me when I tried to auto start my car. I hate to write reviews like this, but hope it will change the way this dealership does business. I was recently in the market for a new car and due to an accident needed to find something fairly quickly. Long story short, the salesperson did not listen or care about my budget. To the point of showing me an suv to lease, test driving the car and then when coming back in to talk to the finance guy and giving me a price $120 a month above advertised. Then explaining that the ad has rebates that we don't qualify for. When I explained that I told the salesperson my budget, the finance person laughed and said is that biweekly? Well that was a nice slap in the face. The dealership has called numerous times to ask for our business and tell me that they can work out a deal. I've talked to the business manager, explained the situation and he didn't seem to care and clearly with all the calls they haven't got the message yet that I won't be purchasing a car from them. I understand upselling, but definitely not by that amount and in the way it was done. By the way, I went to a number of other dealerships and there were numerous options available new and used, to purchase and to lease, well within my budget. read more

Does anybody work here? I was just walking around the car lot of Buick/GMC for 30 minutes (Tuesday at 10:45 a.m) and did not see one employee. Actually a salesperson moved a vehicle from a spot, I was about 20 feet away and he said nothing. No one greeted me nor acknowledged Me. There was also another gentlemen looking for a car. Neither of us were approached and both of us left after discussing this experience. Needless to say I would never purchase a vehicle at Hurd. There's a fine line between being too pushy as a car dealership but a simple "hello" and I'll be inside if you have any questions would suffice. read more

I was very disappointed ...we were sent an offer from their online team and guaranteed a price for a GMC Yukon. Upon arriving, I showed the email and price to the sales man who then took us for a test drive ( the whole family of four). The kids liked the car and we were ready to officially submit our application, but figured we'd confirm the offered price one more time. All went south from that point on as the sales man informed us that the offer was t available and quoted us a price that was $7,000 more than we were informed. The email confirmation with the offered price wasn't good enough ...I walked out of their facility utterly disgusted and disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone ...they wasted our time and couldn't deliver what was initially offered an guaranteed. The customer service was horrible. read more

I took a trip to Hurd Chevrolet the other day to inquire about the $99 a month lease deal they had posted on their website for a 2018 Chevy Cruze. After the salesman let me test drive the car and knew that my budget was to stay around the $99 a month he comes out from the back after talking to the man above him who looked like he had a terrible attitude and tells me that I can get the lease for around $350 per month. I wasn't even mad I found it humorous they thought they could scam a 20 year old girl like myself to pay that much for a LEASE. They wanted me to pay more than triple the advertised amount for the base model and after I told them that there was zero chance of me paying that much they came out and said they can do $250 per month, which is still a stupid amount for a Chevy Cruze lease. Why would I lease the car for that amount when I could buy it for cheaper? This dealership is a joke and they tried to tell me I can't get the lease at $99 per month because I don't "qualify for a competitive lease". When I asked the guy what that even meant he said that because no one else in my household has a lease I can't get that price. He also said that the ad was distributed by Chevy and wasn't theirs but it is literally on the Hurd Auto Mall website. I can't make this stuff up. Waste of my time. I got up and left before they could keep me there with their lame excuses any longer. read more

I recently leased a 2017 Buick Enclave and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am very happy and satisfied with the Enclave. It's the perfect suv for me and my budget. The staff at Hurd were easy to work with, very knowledgeable and helpful. I researched a lot of SUVs and test drove several before making my decision. I was very unhappy with other dealerships that I visited. They weren't very honest and upfront about the cost initially as well as tried to get me to lease a vehicle I didn't like. I had decided not to get a new car and stick with my 14 year old SUV until I met with Dave and Ron. I love how they are very honest and upfront about the total cost. So my fiance and I just left Hurd Auto Mall and were so blown away by the fact that we were ready to purchase a car and make a deal and the sales mgr Peter would not budge on the price of the vehicle by $400! I'm still very shocked that a dealership would turn away business over that amount of money. On top of the side molding being denied to be fixed because the car is 7 years old so that for us is already an out of pocket cost. $400 is definitely not a large amount of money but to turn away a ready to purchase buyer without any options other than sticker price is insane.
