I called up JT Auto as soon as my check engine light came on and I was connected with Lisa, who is an absolute gem! She was able to get me an appointment for the next day and walked me through the whole process. I had to come back more than once in between my meetings, and Lisa was very considerate and informed me that because they were experiencing a delay, she could stay open a little late so I could pick up my vehicle. The first time I checked in, she informed me that the wrong part was sent over, but Lisa expertly navigated calling the right folks to ensure that I got the right part! When picking up my car, JT was able to answer all my questions and recommended some helpful service tips that may save me from some grief in the future. The second time I went in was for routine maintenance and the whole JT Auto team was able to get me in and out ASAP! I can say with confidence that JT Auto is my go-to location for all my car needs. My mechanic in Catonsville said Marvin's was the one place in the Baltimore metro area he trusted to fix & replace only the parts that actually needed it, as the issue was some sections of the exhaust train & the metal parts clamping it to the car had rusted enough for the whole exhaust train to break free when I hit the pothole [my car's so old, its stereo is an AM/FM radio + cassette tape & CD player which was a "deluxe" upgrade back when someone bought it new from their local dealership]. I trusted my mechanic, so I drove from Catonsville to Brooklyn Park & showed up as a walk-in at Marvin's. It was first come, first served & they had a vehicle in each bay plus 1-2 others who'd checked in ahead of me. I sat & read a book I was in the middle of, & before I knew it, one of the guys told me I could pay & be on my way. I asked how much I owed, then had to ask him to repeat it because I was sure I'd missed part of the number he'd said, because my total couldn't possibly be a number with so few digits. Turns out I'd heard it right the first time. That was 4 years ago. I still drive the same car & haven't had any issues with the exhaust system since (still passes its MVA smog checks). If you've got a muffler or any exhaust train issue, this is the place to at least get an estimate, whether you live in the City or in whichever Maryland county & driving to Brooklyn Park is quicker than driving to DC or PA. Marvin's is honest, has experienced mechanics, and no one there tried to sell me anything - they just put my car in a bay, lifted it up, looked at it from below & told me they could fix it. Which took less time & MUCH less money than I'd expected.

They respond to texts within minutes, call you back promptly, do a great job of letting you know what to expect with scheduling and costs. Ace kept us informed of potential delays (e.g., parts) and the reason. Spontaneously sent videos and photos of the work in progress and completed. In the end, completed our job weeks faster than expected AND at a lower price than expected. Our camper looks great and everything checks out repair-wise. He helped direct my search for proper RV to handle specs I required which was to convert to a mobile medical clinic. it needed to have Cummins diesel, proper frame & focus given to watch out for that were properly maintained like slide-out equipment & generator & Xantrex. Leveling jacks were also completely messed up. These were things I didn't know about until I had to pay to get them fixed after I purchased the RV. I trusted the "expert" I hired for the inspection. Most of his report talked about scratches on the cabinets and leather, dog hair in the carpeting, superficial things like that. I could have gotten that from hiring someone off craigslist to swing by and take pictures. Just be completely clear on what you're purchasing with his report.
