    I had a terrible experience at The Huntress beauty salon in Yorba Linda that I chose due to it's ratings. PLEASE SEE BEFORE & AFTER PICS BELOW. Prior to booking the appointment, I specifically asked if the stylist had experience in short haircuts, and they assured me that she did. My previous slightly ba haircut had grown out for about two months before this appointment, so it wasn't that bad--it was actually way better, and I had a full head of hair before this visit. I went in to fix the unevenness but ended up with an even worse result. My hair was cut with thinning shears, which is unsuitable for fine hair, leaving it extremely short, uneven, and damaged. There are huge gaps near my ear and the back of my head, and my hair is now very thin and breaking off at the ends due to the use of these shears. It looks like a child took a pair of school scissors and started chopping away. Despite not having to pay for the haircut, I was deeply upset and couldn't stop crying over the result. The manager whose name is Michelle, didn't even come to look at the cut nor did she offer consolation. The vibe I felt from her was not a good one and made me more uncomfortable. However, she did offer to put in a few tape in hair extensions and sould take no more than 5 minutes. Since my hair that I ordered and paid for (which I feel I shouldn't have had to pay) weren't delivered due to a delay in shipping. I called to speak with her (manager) was rude and dismissive, hanging up on me when I asked for an alternative appointment time. I haven't been able to go outside or even go to the store because of the embarrassment of how my hair looks. I can't do anything to fix it other than put it up in a towel. I'm not the type of person to write a bad review, but this was so bad that I had to. I'm so distraught over how bad my hair looks and want to warn others that the salon does not specialize in short hair as they claimed.

    I'm literally in love with this place. I've had nothing but wonderful experiences every time I have come in to get my hair done. Mary is legit the best stylist to ever touch my head. I've had the worst experience in the past with salons not fully hearing me in regards to what I want for my hair. Mary has never done me wrong! I'm so amazed and I'm constantly getting compliments every time I leave about my hair! And my eyebrows! Mary never lets me leave looking less than. She styles my hair exactly the way I like it, though I can never style it the same way after haha / it's really just a real treat coming into this salon. Since Covid, they have gone above and beyond to keep protocols and keep everyone safe. The salon is super clean, they are above about disinfecting everything after each client and are so respectful to everyone.

    I found this salon by doing a basic search on Google and I'm so glad I did. Besides the fact that it is half a mile from my house, Katie Rose's work is excellent and the salon vibe is really upbeat yet peaceful. I walked in with 2 months of partially grey regrowth, hair past my shoulders, and a terrible blue ombré I'd done myself at home. I walked out with a silky smooth razor cut deep purple bob in less than 2 hours. I've never gotten my hair done that quickly and had it look so good. Katie Rose was awesome to talk to (clicked instantly) and the experience was just great overall. I will definitely be back.

    Went to consultation with Mary. I excitedly booked my appointment to color correct my roots and base. I wanted to correct a color with cooler tones (to reduce brassy tones). She explained she'd only lift my base and roots with bleach and highlight the rest of my hair to give it a lighter overall effect. She was going to see if my ends could take the bleach first. She even took notes about what we talked about. This was so reassuring. The evening before my appointment I got a voicemail from her salon requesting payment in cash only. I had to call them back to ask for the amount as that had not been previously provided. They told me it would be around $350, which seemed steep but if I got what I requested I would be happy to pay it. I stopped at the bank just before my appointment at 9 am. This was the best I could do with such short notice. This set me behind 10 min from my appointment time. I called and let the salon know I was at the bank and I apologized, they said it was ok. 45 seconds later I get a call from Mary telling me I would only be able to get one of the services instead of the two I had booked (color correction and haircut). I apologized again and explained what had happened, she said she'd try to and I would have to hurry. The bank was one block away and I got there as fast as I could. I was grateful they were still able to take me. I still sat down excited and looking forward to the service. Mary asked me about deeper roots I asked what that meant and she said darker roots. I said oh no, I had wanted to lift the base and roots to a lighter color. I thought this was strange because we had had an entire consultation about this and she had taken notes, but I shrugged it off, she said ok and went to mix a cream. She covered my entire hair in this cream. She then put on a plastic cover on it and had me sit under the dryer for approximately 25 min or so after telling me I would be there 10 mins. I felt dripping from my head to my face and neck. She looooked at me and said it was sweat so she gave me a towel to pat dry. At the end when everything is done my hair was completely destroyed. It was beyond damaged. I thought the haircut and toner would help but it didn't. My hair was in such bad state that I slowly understood why she didn't finish styling my hair. She instructed me not to use hair dryer because my hair was so weak. To just sit dry. I felt so overwhelmed and confused. I was in shock. I wanted to be ok and I tried, I even smiled through everything to be ok but I wasn't ok but frankly was in shock. I said ok and yes to everything after that but my heart was broken. The back of my neck was burning on my drive to a doctors appointment I had scheduled. My nurse looked at it and saw the second degree burns from the bleach that ran down my neck. I wasn't going to do this even though I was heartbroken about the damage to my hair. But the burns on my neck was a clear sign of negligence that clearly injured my skin. At this point my hair is destroyed, I have no way to style what little is left and will have to wait to see if these burns scar or what. The pain has become unbearable. I added pictures: - Burns on my neck. - Burn in my scalp bursting and bleeding. - The condition of my hair after Mary bleached all of it all at once. - The color I wanted corrected on the base and roots. - The color I had before the roots and base got darkened by the previous hairdresser. - The dark hair Model with the French Bob is the picture I showed Mary and clearly it was not even close. Clearly more than half of my hair was faded not trimmed or thinned out. - The receipt she wrote out by hand on a peace of scratch paper (because not only does she request for cash only but she also does not give receipts). Notes: The receipt she wrote out is itemized. $225 for a double process but she did one process only. She put bleach all over my head like you put shampoo on your head when you shower. She walked me to the dryer and had me sit there to process to what felt like forever. $125 Toner is the most expensive toner I've ever had and it didn't even help my hair because my hair was completely destroyed from the bleach damage. It looked so yellow after one wash that I had to wash with purple shampoo and the hair is so damaged it kept the purple pigment from the purple shampoo. $70 For a haircut that was a complete botched job $350 total for a color correction that has ended me having to go to urgent care has me on pain meds (I-don't like to take Tylenol for headaches). But I've had to take ibuprofen, had prescribed antibiotics for the chemical burns.

    Flew in from Sacramento, CA this morning to get my hair done and I'm blown away at the job Courtney did! AMAZING.... I also purchased the famous Kevin Murphy line of hair products that I can't wait to use! They have a great liter sale going on. The front desk receptionist Krystal was on point and got me whatever I wanted. I will definitely be coming back and have already rebooked my next appointment. Great excuse to come back to Orange County! Bottom lime, I felt pampered from KKBB.... Mary the manager was AWESOME, I sipped on a glass of white wine, front desk brought me a menu from next door and my stylist ordered me dinner.

    I'm wondering if I speak a different language or something. I went to see savannah for the second time. She told me the first time I got a haircut she would do complementary bang trims. Perfect! I called and they said she was available same day. Yay! I sat down and told her I like my bangs to hit right BELOW MY EYEBROWS. I pointed to the spot. They had grown a little too long into my eyes so I just wanted clear vision again. She turned the chair around so I couldn't see what was going on and when she turned my back around into the mirror I was literally shocked. The result was crazy short bangs with uneven scoop in the middle. They are a good inch and a half ABOVE MY EYEBROWS. She then said "I won't charge you for the trim". Yeah no shit! You made me look like a freak now for A Good two weeks until they grow to normal adult Bang length. I tipped just so I didn't look like a complete ass but honestly it wasn't deserved. Not sure I'll return if they stylist can't listen to simple instruction. Two stars for the first visit combined with second one from hell.

    Best hair cut I've gotten in years. Between the phenomenal fade by Ajay and the texturing from Katie Wolfenbeger, I'm feeling on top. I've been going to the renowned BOLTS Barbers in DTLA for the past year and haven't received a fade like this. Fullerton is about a 30 min drive for me but very much worth the two visits per month. And how about that pricing...KKBB is where it's at.

    I got my hair cut by Mary today, it looks amazing! She listened to everything I asked for and created a look just for me. The salon is super cute. The other stylists are really friendly and inviting. I'll definitely be back again.

She strategically uses a mix of soft and hard wax, and makes you feel like you're in good hands from the get. Talking to her felt like catching up with an old friend. Nena's Waxing is a little out of the way but I would gladly return for any of my waxing needs.

Does not really smile and she is unfriendly. I like service with a smile. So just saying. She also is so worried about risk, liability and complaints that she is vague about any question you ask her--even general questions. I have been there about 20 times in the past 6 years and each time I go, I sense a disconnect and scorn from her for no reason. I dont get it. I give my business to a lot of people, and have good relations with anyone I give my money to. My usual tip is between 20 to 30% --but when I go there, I just dont feel like tipping anymore. Each time I hope to see a glimmer of customer service from her, and each time I am disappointed. I even told her it was my birthday the next day, and she said NOTHING. Totally dismissive of my requests or comments and non-communicative. She needs a lesson in setvice with a smile and communication. Meh. She also it seems tries to price gouge a bit when she can.
