I would not recommend storing at this facility. I reserved a 5X10 unit, arrived on site and paid my lock and first month storage fees. When I arrived to my unit, I was surprised to have a 8.5' (wide) x 3' unit. It was essentially a glorified closet. I went back to their main office to see if they had anything bigger (perhaps a true 5X10 unit!), but they did not have anything else available. I requested a refund and found another storage facility near by. A week goes by and I still had not received a refund so I called their office to verify that the refund took place and they confirmed that it did and reinforced that it might take a few days longer to process. Another week goes by and it still did not go through so I requested a receipt for the refund transaction. It was then verified that the refund was never processed in the first place. I received a partial refund and was told that my reservation fee was non-refundable (what a joke!). I do not anticipate this business being open under this management much longer. I realize this may be the only place in Huntley, but I would recommend taking your business to Life Storage in Algonquin. They are professional and I had a much better overall experience! read more
