U.S.bank has a program that helps you to build savings and your credit. I have had accounts with U.S. Bank for six years now and I grew my savings to a point where they rewarded me with a debit card that had free money on it for reaching a certain goal. The program is called START. I had to save a certain amount of money and keep it there for a certain amount of time. I got rewarded twice for my savings. Then, I took a certain amount of money out of my savings into a credit card program called secured credit. I faithfully paid my amount into that card every month until I was able to get a regular credit card. I also was given my money that I paid into that card for one month returned to me. I now have even better credit than I did when I started with U.S.Bank. I even found some suspicious activity on my checking account at one time. Their fraud department looked into it and I got my stolen money returned to me. Oh and I even can check things that happen with my accounts online. Further Harris Bank was rather rude to a friend of mine. They refused to start an account for him due to his credit rating. So, you can bank where you want, but before you go knocking an institution do your homework.

We mainly drop into a Chase branch for ATM services, but around this time of year, we also always take the opportunity to ask for complimentary, colorful, and handy Chinese New Year lucky money red envelopes. It's a nice perk offered by Chase Bank and I really don't know if other banks offer such a perk. The funny thing is that this is the only branch we have ever asked that only had lucky money envelopes from the previous year lol. It's not a biggie, and they are still handy, but the current up-to-date envelopes have a horse logo signifying it's the Year of the Horse.

Over the years the staff members have changed, there has been less tellers and bankers available to help out. The app used with this bank has gotten super glitchy and makes it impossible for me to deposit checks. In the pandemic things have gotten worse. Trying to make an appointment with a banker, I was told my issue was not "important" enough to warrant working with a banker. I was told to go into the drive through. Without even asking which account I wanted to deposit my checks to, after specially requesting the checks be deposited into my Virtual Wallet, the teller deposited a couple thousand dollars worth of checks into a joint account I had with someone else. Wrong account. All in all, I'm looking to see if there's any other bank that might be a better fit for me at this time.
