It's an adequate train station. Not interesting, but it does what a train station should do.
The good: parking is pretty cheap! And there's a small shop with anything you need for your journey. It's the last stop on the line for the Network Railcard, too. Peterborough station doesn't offer that, so we drive the extra distance to Huntingdon for the railcard benefit and the cheaper parking.
The bad: I've been here on a weekday and have been unable to find a parking spot, so, be warned. It's best to park on the opposite side of the station from the main ticket hall (platform 2), where fewer people park so you're more likely to find a spot. The entrance is somewhat hard to find unless you know where it is. Also, the ticket window seems to have odd hours. We were there at 4 or 5pm on a weekday and it was closed, which I thought was strange. read more
