Can be rather confusing to the new arrival, as the station is spread over several streets, and although the signs are fauirly clearly marked you have to really know where you're heading in order to find it - if you know what I mean!
The main waiting area is covered, at least, although the seating benches have to be amongst the most uncomfortable in the country.
The frequency of busses has always been pretty good on a local basis, I found. Plus I was able to travel over-country with ease given the large number of National coaches and other firms that pass through Cambridge.
Human help-points are not so good. I don't think I found an open information kiosk all the times I passed through - which were several dozen.
Toilets - horrible, horrible, horrible. Often bloacked, sometimes all locked up for no reason, usually dirty and always smelly. Never an experience I'd want to repeat.
But if you don't mind the lack of amenities and just need a useful focal point to get from A to B, then it is very well served. read more
