The bar manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. I asked her for area recommendations and she went so far as to pull out a magazine and circle her recommendations (including notes like "great pizza" and "go here then stop over there"). Sonny B the sister ship is the water taxi up at PIB. Well for many years now at Ashtabula harbor the bum boat is tied up & open to the public fully licensed sit down bar. The owners are really nice. Live music, have a drink. Fairly large menu board too. I didn't know they had food tbh. It was great chili dog. As good & very similar to skyline. We sat down at a booth and the woman bartender stared at me for almost 5 minutes. Never came over to ask what we wanted. Just glaring at us, and I didn't understand. Maybe she didn't want to serve us? Maybe it's a rule that you have to get up and ask for your drinks and menu at the bar? But when you're in a booth. I would imagine it's customary for the bartender to come over and ask what you want. Especially since there were only maybe five customers at the bar. It was a little embarrassing because I brought my brother for his first time. After waiting her out and figuring she wasn't going to come over, I got up and ordered our drinks and asked for a menu. She said the drive-through was closed. I didn't know what that meant. Apparently the "kitchen" was is closed. At 7 PM on a Saturday night. Wing night? $$$$ Oh well.
